I love this too. I love how Daniel added some bomb blast. You don’t get to see Daniel blast that much in arch enemy except seeing him do some blast beats live on The world is yours and Dead bury the dead.
The punk influence was the first thing i noticed too. Arch Enemy has recorded a lot of punk covers and apparently it has influenced their own songwriting. Example: ua-cam.com/video/Lt1LKMG1AAY/v-deo.html
2:14 Haha Boris! Cracked me up there.😆BTW What you call "cheesy chorus" is Michael's way to make it "memorable". I don't dislike it. I get what you mean though. But you have to admit, that the melodic choruses are their signature sound and is a big reason for their success. Many people like it, some people don't. They're not aiming the music at hardcore metal listeners or musicians, which I think is something many people don't get. I think those people are just annoyed with how Michael Amott can get so much attention with simple methods (however carefully chosen and ordered). He has said so himself that they aren't trying to be technical. It's always about trying to find something special in basic arrangements. Beautifully simple, I'll add myself. 😆🤘
@@linziRyan1965 I know! The best Amott solos for me are: Dead Eyes See No Future live Wacken 2016, Skeleton Dance (album), Burning Angel, The Day You Died, Bury Me an Angel, soooo good man. Amazing songs Cult of Chaos, Vengeance is Mine, Saints and Sinners, Taking Back My Soul, Shadows And Dust.... and sooo many more... 🤘😆
Thanks for doing Arch man! The singles are cheesy sometimes. The good stuff is the other album tracks. Arch are bridging music genres and bringing in new listeners to the really heavy genres.
I agree. I absolutely love Arch Enemy! The album tracks are always better than the singles. However I wouldn’t have gotten into them unless I saw the Ravenous video….
Since another hero already requested From ruins we rise, I'd love to hear your opinion on Intensified Genocide, your reaction to the drum playthrough would be amazing, the new drummer is something different...
I agree with you on the japanese intros....lol. I saw your poster in the backround and hit like and subscribe. Love jeff loomis , he should write their riffs.
Glad you caught the punk influence. Sounds like Exploited at their best. Arch Enemy recently did an album with covers of swedish hardcore punk. Maybe there's where they picked it up.
Boris t I like your channel you make good reaction videos and I agree with your opinion of this arch enemy band regarding some songs that sound for opening anime hahaha but it has several great brutal themes that you can look for the first albums in which a vocalist sang johan liiva man, very great and little-known songs. Then angela gossow came in, a great vocalist at the same time and they had great songs like satanic diva, but anyway the current vocalist is pretty good but I agree with you on those songs with anime influence hahaha anyway greetings fellow music and success for you 🤘
Dude you have react to Aviations - Outliers (Retrospect). One of the greatest most beautiful masterpiece songs Ive ever heard. Pretty please, you'll have your mind absolutely blown to pieces

YEEAAHHH GREAT VÍDEO AND MÚSIC OF ARCH ENEMY! I THINK SO THAT THE ANIME CARTOONS TAKE THE ROCK MÚSIC TO PROYECT!! THE ROCK WAS FIRTS!!! HEHE GREETINGS GOOD VÍDEO!!
Hey boris, good afternoon from indonesia. I have request. Why not reaction Deadsquad with new music video "Curse Of The Black Plague". Its super brutal. FYI the new vocalist more like deathcore and the drummer more badass skill in this single. Im waiting 🤘666🤘
The problem about Arch Enemy is they keep making the same old song since 20 years They hired Alyssa that is really good at alternating growl and clean voices and they use just her growl They hired Jefff Loomis at the guitar that can write amazing masterpieces (listen all Nevermore records and his solo albums) and still use him for 30 seconds solos They are just a waste of talented musicians
@@Divig Burton C Bell in Fear Factory alternates growl and clean in a much more aggressive sound environment Using only growl is a unnecessary limitation that Arch Enemy impose to themselves
@@riblo72 I see it as a stylistic choice. Noone would ask for cleans from, say, Meshuggah. Why demand it from another band which has only had growls? That the vocalist is capable of it is not reason enough. She might know how to play the recorder. Should they add that as well? My main opinion though is that both Alyssa and Jeff are grown ups. If they want to do things this way, just let them. If they do not want to do things this way both of them are perfectly capable of changing things. (Either by arguing for changes or just by leaving) And they have one song with cleans. Who knows If they will add more. (But if they do I think they will continue their journey without me. Not that they will notice. )
@@Divig so why they hired two musicians that don't fit their music style? Marketing reasons. Loomis is revered as one of the best guitar players of his generation and Alyssa is loved cause she is a talented singer and a cute woman. If you go and look all comments many are saying "Alyssa is sp cute and great singer" even if she sing only 50% of her possibilities or "with Loomis they are great" even if he never write a single note of their music. Just silly marketing reasons you would expert from a boyband
It's kind of funny that you say cheesy.. Every black metal band sounds exactly the same.. Very few are different from each other. Behemoth and Dimmu Are the only ones that truly broke away from The traditional Monotonous rifts and raspy voice.
Bro! I'm literally laughing out loud at that Japanese Anime Intro. That was perfect!
I love this too. I love how Daniel added some bomb blast. You don’t get to see Daniel blast that much in arch enemy except seeing him do some blast beats live on The world is yours and Dead bury the dead.
Bro that thing you said about that Japanese anime intro is so true, had me dying. Lmfao
Alyssa did damn good. I was an Angela gassow fan. Alyssa is coming to her own sound.
I don't compare the 2 of them. They're good for different reasons
Great reaction man. Greetings from the land of Black Metal, Norway!

I love the cheezy anime stuff. But I definitely get why others don't. It's nice to have heavier stuff sometimes. Nice reaction.
Soooo much agreeing, no clear singing!
Thank you Alyssa! Also...she has been doing 300 sit-ups every day for 4 years. It's my guess!
Nah shes just vegan without alcohol
Same as Doyle the baddass from The Misfits (her BF) - clean living & just plants for food
The ending was awesome! 😳
I was just thinking yesterday about asking you to review it!!!!!
I didn't know this band was still a thing.
I'm happy it is.
