I like the video, but the video and the sound are not synchronized, so it made it a little confusing at first.

Just go into video edit and record a voiceover. If I remember correctly you should be able to do it all usin UA-cams editor.

How does the TVG interact if adjusting the gain? What would be the disadvantage or advantage of turning the TVG off and just using the gain adjustment?

    • @The_Garmin_Guru

Gain is just sensitivity. Adjusting gain adjusts the sensitivity in the whole water column. Tvg is just equalizing those returns thru a computer algorithm so that they show equal on the screen. It just keeps things more consistent. I would put tvg on low in less than 20 foot of water and then adjust your gain. The gain I have found to be best for me is around 68. Hope that answers your question bud. If not hit me back and we will see if we can get it straight. Thanks for watching.

@@The_Garmin_Guru so what would you set your tvg to if you were fishing past 20ft like 25 30

@@slimjim8888 you might experiment with medium but that’s still pretty close to the range I’d still use for low. Hope this helps bud. I also have a Facebook group under the same name if you need to post pics we can break it down a little more.

May I suggest instead of just talking you point out with a pointer what your talking about. This would truly help beginners understand what they are looking at.

@@The_Garmin_Guru O" I meant just use a pencil and point it at the area you are talking about. I'm enjoying your videos. I do not have a live scope yet. ;)
