That college has a tragic story, it was started back in 1980 and ran until 2015-ish. It was basically a college serving Baltimore city residents. They got into problems with the accreditation board and also serious financial troubles. I think they had the right idea but the obstacles were just too much. For one thing students came in terribly under-prepared for college much of their effort was just equipping students with the basics that they had missed because of the crappy Baltimore city high schools. At some point they lost accreditation (eg their bachelor's degrees became meaningless), the school had to close up and it ended up vacant-- in a super rough neighborhood beset with junkies and street people. Of course, they're going to break in but not to take pictures, they go in to rip out copper for scrap, take out anything remotely valuable, shoot up and just trash the place for fun. In 2016, there was a fire on the third floor. Looks like some of that is water damage from the fire fighters. Maryland has strict real-property laws which effectively give property owners the right to let their buildings rot. It's a big problem in Baltimore. Real estate ends up in an ownership "limbo" where no one takes responsibility for it. That's why some neighborhoods look like they've been bombed. Typically the owner goes bankrupt or gets foreclosed, a creditor (typically a bank or even the city) becomes the owner but they just sit on it and no one maintains the building. The building very quickly becomes open to casual entry by junkies, at some point the roof gives out, water damage occurs, roof collapses, the structural issues follow making the building un-sellable and requiring it to be demolished. Of course all other properties in the area suffer consequences from this and it becomes a downward spiral for the whole neighborhood. I used to live not far from that college. When it was running it was well-maintained and tidy-- an asset to the neighborhood. It's a pity that something could not be worked out to at least keep the building secure and in operation.
Great background information, very interesting. People don't want to hear it but the citizens of Baltimore keep voting for the same people that ushered in this decayed state. I admire Dan’s work. As someone who’s from Baltimore, I’d just want to comment on the fact that Dan’s content does highlight the dark parts of the city, and it’s not all that terrible; it’s not all that great either. I think Dan does an amazing job at showcasing what needs to be explored, what needs to be shown and what needs to be brought to the attention of the public on what places need to be fixed (if that’s ever even possible to do). In all, if you’re not from Baltimore, and enjoy Dan’s content, I just hope everyone keeps that in mind. It’s a dirty city just like all cities are dirty, but again, it’s not as terrible as people think it is.

I love how Dan calls out, "Anyone there?" The tone is assertive, yet respectful. It conveys, "We mean you no harm, sorry if we disturbed you." Dan's a big guy and has quite a presence. I get why he's freaked out in places, though. What happens if they encounter groups of squatters that really have nothing to lose? People, yes, but dangerous, desperate people.
You blew every single person in a straightforward manner? That honestly must be termed “amazing” as well as astonishingly “homosexual”. Hats and many other articles of clothing off to you, Mr. Invincible Man!
Baltimore drug den at night? You're crazy. And how about some particle masks and gloves? I wouldn't want to be breathing the dust in there or touching things with bare skin. Then again, I wouldn't be in there in the first place.
It is heartbreaking to know that once, many brilliant young minds who were full of hope for their future called this place home. That picture with the joyful graduating class, noticed that one pupil was on a wheelchair. I hope they are all doing well.
Why is it that the people living or hanging out in places like this not collecting all the items they could sell for couple of bucks? Most Real estate want the crap cleaned out.
Who would want any of this stuff? It all has a stench you can't clean away, and anything with crevices (table legs, gym equipment, those old worthless monitors, etc) likely has things living in it. Plus heroin users would probably only sell when desperate for a fix and who would feel comfortable taking money out to give them for something? Many of them are likely just in a bad place but others would be desperate enough to rob someone. Also, that building was almost definitely abandoned by the college probably immediately. Even in perfect shape it would cost more than the building to fix, with lead paint, asbestos, and fire/safety code violations that didn't exist when first built. The best the bank or real estate company can hope for is a developer will buy it and knock it down, but even that would cost so much more money than building some abandoned row houses. It's depressing considering Baltimore city's rich history. But it's been on a downward slope ever since people began to move for the suburbs in the 50s and 60s.
Well, I was 20 minutes in and said I was surprised the walls weren't ripped apart for copper. 22:30 has a wall that has a huge hole in it. So people already took some of the only things they could be resold.
As a former consumer of Baltimore's most sold commodity (heroin)...when you're looking for a fix you need it to feel normal yet alone appear normal lol..mostly you're looking for quick money..and a pawnshop (a reputable one anyway) would want to know where you got the items and technically, abandoned or not, taking things out amounts to theft.. Basically, it's not worth the hassle..so reusable stuff gets left to rot..its a shame..
Well on top of squatting being illegal, stealing property while trespassing is also pretty illegal. I remember Dan was lookin at a VERY 70's office chair that was in a pretty okay condition, he wanted to take it instead of having it rot or be destroyed by vandals but couldn't. It sucks because I'm the type of person to pick some furniture off the street.

Blows my mind they would leave behind those incredible science models and replicas. Those things are expensive and it’s not like they ever become obsolete. I guess it would have cost more to pack everything and take inventory than to just trash it.
Wow I went there... great college...I value the education I received there. It went under due to financial problems. I was apart of the last graduating class in 2015. I remember everyone being very emotional about its closing, including myself. The school helped many working adults and even had a daycare. Sad to see it in this condition. 😢
I have never figured out in these places why not open for a weekend and sell off whats in there instead of letting it all rot, or give it away to someone who could use the help.
Unfortunately not the creepy college but a huge dumping ground of trashes, unsecured documents and litres of urine. I bet it looks more interesting from outside than inside. A real wastage of place, money and memories of former employees. What a pity.

I stayed at a semi-abandoned college once on a school trip as it was cheap. They were using it as a hotel, but nothing had been renovated. It was musty, some of the heaters either wouldn't turn on, or wouldn't turn off, and there were some parts of the building that were chained off due to damage. It was really weird, but bats liked the upper floors. It was still habitable, but barely. I think the place I stayed at did become a school again, but I don't know if the residence building ever got repaired. Really creepy.
Nah, Dan just stepped back and the black thing's view was blocked by the stairs, even before he pans away the black thing can't be seen anymore but it's because Dan moved himself and the camera.
Dan, I saw this college years ago before it had gained too much attention to the fact that it could be accessed, right before the first fire, and it was in perfect condition, nothing like this...like everyone had just vanished.

Omg at the end when you asked if it was someone standing there I thought you were talking about the bright green thing on the other side of the closest door... It's a nice thought, but running a homeless shelter is extremely expensive. Upkeep and repairs are very intensive, and Baltimore doesn't exactly have a lot of money.
I like how the Portland Chinatown area is heavily abandoned, but they kept talking for years about building massive multi-level homeless shelter instead of just letting them use the empty buildings that they were likely already using.

Wow! This has only been abandoned for 5 years? Looks more like 20 to me. .. people man
11:16 with the “... and there’s Billie Holiday” part was so unexpected lol
Please use gloves next time. I see too many explorers touching everything without protection. We do not wanna see u get sick Dan!
Well Dan is pretty much Dr. Manhattan...but has balls the size of Mars....and isn’t blue
And maybe a hard hat …?
Yet again, im having one of the worst weeks.. and here you come with a 48 minute gift♡♡
Im so very thankful. Thank you thank you thank you♡
Britteny Rose; i hope things get better for you💜
It's amazing the stuff that's abandoned in Baltimore. You could film and film and have difficulty scratching the surface
The EDITING OF THIS VIDEO. I CAN'T. IT'S JUST SO GOOD.
Dan bell is a gift, this vid is a gift
This is why I got exploring during the day so I don't run into any sleeping people 🙃
...or mannequins
@@gusrtw20 Absolutely!
I ran into a sleeping man one time while exploring during the day.
Paul Lyon How did you deal with it and was there an interaction?
When do you think burglars sleep ?
I came to UA-cam today, upset and crying and looking for a way out of my own head. This is the best distraction. I’m 30:32 in and I’ve already started to calm down and breathe. Thank you for videos like these. You never really know the people who you help on a daily basis, just by being yourself. I’m here to tell you, at least for me, you help me tremendously.
I know it’s been hard for you lately, our mental health is just as important as our physical. I’m glad you are doing better now and putting more of your creations on your platforms. They really do make a difference.
Why what had happened that day? How are you now?
If I were homeless that room with the lock n key would be mine.
I love how Dan calls out, "Anyone there?" The tone is assertive, yet respectful. It conveys, "We mean you no harm, sorry if we disturbed you."
Dan's a big guy and has quite a presence. I get why he's freaked out in places, though. What happens if they encounter groups of squatters that really have nothing to lose? People, yes, but dangerous, desperate people.
That "I blew everyone" so matter-of-factly was amazing.
Wiper Dunk Wiper Dunk -- My anatomy and physiology lab had a blood-vessel sculpture thing that was worth over 1,000 dollars because of the labor involved in making it anatomically accurate or whatever.
Sometimes when I watch these videos I feel like I’m watching a playthrough of a horror game where you are walking through the scary buildings trying to find something or find your way out. And what adds to it is how Dan sometimes touches stuff as if he’s pressing A to interact and will say a witty line
Dan , What would you have done if that frog you shook started singing " Hello My Baby , Hello My Darlin ' , Hello My Ragtime Gal " ?? . Keep up the great work and be safe.
😆 it puts on a top hat and pulls a cane 😂
That freaking black cat must really love you guys! Obviously you can see and hear her or him meow at 17:51.
The lady in the beginning is the reason I LOVE Baltimore. What a gem.
Man, that Mew Mew book that was in the locker.
Moments like that really pull at the heart strings.
I know now that you were talking about the "death angel" when you said "wtf is that?" but at first I thought you were talking about the reproductive system diagram next to it and I found that really funny
"Ahem. Well Dan, when a mommy and daddy love each other..."
Same lol
Always looking forward to more quality content from Dan Bell
Finally found a mannequin you were looking for at the abandoned department store.
I love Dan Bell videos because where else could I watch an hour of a guy whispering "What was that? Do we have company? Is someone there? What was that sound?" and then just nobody lol. But seriously, I do love these.
11:20 the pan up to the still-pristine picture of billie holiday made me immensely sad for some reason
Kermit's last stand. *shakes vigorously* "Wake up! I'm taking you back to the swamp!" I'm done XD
Wow! For only being closed for five years, this place is trashed out and destroyed.
It looks like its 10 million years abandoned
Unfortunately not the creepy college but a huge dumping ground of trashes, unsecured documents and litres of urine. I bet it looks more interesting from outside than inside. A real wastage of place, money and memories of former employees. What a pity.
Izabella Panorama are you a former employee?
You just described half of Baltimore unfortunately...
What used to be called "Charm City" has mostly fallen into disrepair..and I don't see anything changing in the near future.

One of those boxes in that file room said payroll. I hope it doesn't have anything that should be protected in it. Reminds me that if a business goes bankrupt and I was an employee, I hope they shred my SS# and bank account info. That should be a requirement.
Dan: have you stayed in here before?? Random homeless lady: HELL NO!
Dan, thanks for keeping your videos about the exploration. So many other URBEX channels seem to be about putting the explorers personality on display or trying to create some sort of adventurer facade to broadcast. I really appreciate how you shoot and commentate your videos.
Urbex channel, rurex vibe.
I'm literally crying from laughing so hard at the hospital bed part ahahaha
With that specific attachment, it is more like a cockspital bed.

My sister went to the college. I remember going to class with her when I was younger. It’s so sad to see a Black establishment go to waste.
Besides all that piss at 36:49 it looks like a body rotted thru the ceiling.....🤢
This place is one big creepy toilet.... and I swear I'm starting to hear other voices around this point too.... esp as soon as you leave this room. You guys got balls and stomachs of titanium! Fuck steel!!! I haven't finished yet obv. But great video!!! This made my day, thank you so much!!!💙
I stayed at a semi-abandoned college once on a school trip as it was cheap.

Hey Dan what's that at 27:32, it's like a black hoodie by the stairs, then you pan away and pan back and it's gone?
good catch - thats got to be someone!
Nah, Dan just stepped back and the black thing's view was blocked by the stairs, even before he pans away the black thing can't be seen anymore but it's because Dan moved himself and the camera.
@@gusrtw20 i think it's the cat, but if not it's got to be someone because it's slowly leaving/crouching down

I saw that too and had to rewind it, creepy af!!!!
No more copper left in that building
Wow this episode of Another Dirty Room really goes places...
Dan, I would seriously consider getting a good pair of puncture proof boots or shoes for these places.
Dan, I saw this college years ago before it had gained too much attention to the fact that it could be accessed, right before the first fire, and it was in perfect condition, nothing like this...like everyone had just vanished.
I was long overdue for a good dose of creepy Dan Bell! Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya.
Thought I heard a guy say, “please leave me alone,” at one point.
Btw, Naproxen Sodium is an anti inflammatory. 👍
I always have some on my dining table, just in case.
Omg. Dan with the big balls exploring yet another sketchy place. I live vicariously through his efforts. I truly appreciate this exploration. I could never!
Also, anytime Dan asks, “Anyone there?”, my asshole clenches so tight I’m upset with myself for being so sensitive. Much love!
Imagine having a whole college + furnature to your own disposal. That joint could be ran/ organized so nicely
Everywhere Dan walks sounds like he’s stepping on rice krispe’s. Everywhere.
I’ve been binging your channel all week, so happy you posted
Jordan Weßling that’s my search engine of choice too.
Wow, DB, those opening 45 seconds were like an 80's thriller/slasher flick. Beautiful shots! The only thing missing was an obligatory saxophone track belting out. Masterful.
Please wear mask and gloves when visiting this kind of place!
40:16 “I’ll meet you downstairs, okay?” Dan, you are so full of beans in this one. I love it.
I went here about 3 years ago and it was almost pristine.
I'm surprised that pelvic model was still hangin around. Medical models are expensive, so even if the school was going out of business, I would've expected someone working there to grab it, even as a souvenir.
I kept chanting "please don't go in that bathroom"
The whole place appeared to be a bathroom.
Omg at the end when you asked if it was someone standing there I thought you were talking about the bright green thing on the other side of the closest door... I thought it was someone's sleeve standing like 2 metres from you. It's amazing how anxious this makes me when I know you obviously made it out ok. I had to pause for a second. Also I was POSITIVE for a bit that the shiny part of that blanket in the room where someone was staying most recently was the top of someone's head - like curly brown hair? Ooof what a terrifying and wonderful tour thank you so much Dan~
Me: Oh poor frog.
Dan: gonna take you BACK TO THE SWAMP "shakes violently"
Me: DAN NO!
I was imagining the singing frog Looney Tunes cartoon 😂
What, precisely, does “vilently” mean? I’m not just being obscurantist. I really would like an answer.
@@blindlemon9 violently. Typo.
“that’s a crispy frog” that’s exactly what i was thinking

This was great Dan. Thanks! You need to go on another late night shopping trip to Walmart. Those are priceless. Plus with the pandemic they might be the only place open ... probably with limited hours though. Stay safe and healthy!
Wow I remember seeing commercials for this college on my local station years ago
The pathways in there look pretty well traveled. Daytime exploration would be scary nighttime is terrifying
Great exploration
You know what would be really interesting to me? I wish we could see a time lapse of how all the stuff/trash got everywhere. Like on x day John Doe came in and scattered candy wrappers and empty bottles throughout this room and the next day 3 teenage outlaws threw the furniture everywhere for whatever reason
Cool idea.
That college sure left a lot of useable stuff behind
Yeah, that anatomical pelvic model they found retails at about $220 for starters. All those homeless people could set up a business supplying other colleges with everything that's just laying around but they just waste their time taking drugs it seems.
@@bbutcIf you were homeless, had no where to go, no family, no money, no place to bathe, starving to death in either ridiculously hot or cold temperatures constantly hardly being able to sleep because of having to watch your back because on the street it's either you or them, in addition to terrible health issues or even mental issues that make the whole thing far worse.... never having any clean clothes, i bet you would do some smack to escape for a bit as well... especially after being on street for over 10 years like im sure some of those people are with a lack of public housing waiting on a list forever and a day lmao, i could go on and on.
@@bobking7347 Nope. Never taken recreational drugs, never will. And I'm sure you are aware that millionaires who appear to have everything they ever wanted have still died of drug overdoses. Drugs are a choice in my book.
@@bobking7347 You realize that you can go live in the woods the natural way, right? Nobody is forcing you to be homeless. Drugs and alcohol are for weak-minded people... You can't escape your reality by getting high. The Amish don't even have the luxuries we do, do you think they really care?
@@bbutc Two different situations, with two different causes, with a multitude of sub factors for each, it's not a one size fits all situation buddy, you have a very limited and ignorant view of the matter, as well as the two fools who thumbed your comment up. No matter what I'd say to you, you would just view this as being black or white, your line of ignorant thinking is one of many reasons why people have obstructions to getting help, you have no understanding of this situation other then your limited experience... It's not as if one day a person decides to become and addict or even homeless, and is like, welp imma go live on the street and panhandle for cash and beg for food, imma go shoot shit in my veins and become a thieving burnout, nobody decides these situations, a lot of people end up in this situation because of circumstances out of their control, its a combination of many situations. People like you provide a few chuckles indeed, even if I'd sit here and show a million scenarios, I'd still get the same response.
The government shoulf just use that building as homeless shelter instead of letting it abandoned
Jeffry Nizers YES I agree
sadly the government would rather shoot themselves in the foot before helping out their homeless population
It's a nice thought, but running a homeless shelter is extremely expensive. Upkeep and repairs are very intensive, and Baltimore doesn't exactly have a lot of money.
Unfortunately it's a little more complicated than that. Its easier said than done
I like how the Portland Chinatown area is heavily abandoned, but they kept talking for years about building massive multi-level homeless shelter instead of just letting them use the empty buildings that they were likely already using. Entire district is just one big homeless camp. Used to be a real nice tourist trap back in 2003.
Always loved your abandoned videos. Hated your other series but you introduced me to a massive UA-cam genre that I love. You introduced me to The Proper People, Lorde Explores, and several others that constant other weekly Explores while you go off and do your other stuff that doesn't interest me. Thanks Dan Bell, you rock!
Looks like a hazardous waste site.
I have to tell, you Dan I think that you are the most talented person I’ve ever seen on the internet 🎉 keep up the amazing work with the urbex!
