This in an excellent video of a really outstanding drone. If it sounds like a lot of money, and it is, I can truly say that's worth every penny. After I bought one, I simply could not believe the quality, the workmanship and the design. DJI thought out every detail and really hit a home run with this drone. I'm fortunate to live in Florida and can connect to FPRN at absolutely no charge. That provides me with RTK, which means I could do mapping, just as if had had a base station. Aside from mapping, the advantage of RTK is a more stable platform, not having to rely solely on the compass, and giving you 1-2 cm accuracy when landing or getting coordinates. This drone has all the system redundancy of a manned aircraft. The M300 is also a great bird but costs 3-4 times as much, which puts it in the not-affordable category, it's huge, heavy, more expensive to run, and is a pain to transport. Thanks to Steel City Drones for all the time and efforts spent in putting this great video together.

Hi, I have a question about the loudspeaker attachment. Does it act as a megaphone where you can speak directly or is it only support text to speech?
As of right now you can only text a message, in my opinion that will change with firmware updates that will change.
Dave, great video as always. Question: is the M30T able to do solar thermal inspections over solar farms? I heard it has a (software) limitation that makes the range of the camera +/- 2°, needing a +/- 0.5° range at the most. Any comments?
Hello Juan I am not sure what you mean by the range of the camera is +/- 2°. Can you clarify what you mean by range?

@@JCDiaz-Skytech It depends on your requirements are as far as how far you have to have to have the drone away from it and to what level of detail you have. The Cell tower inspection comparison we included in this video here 20:12 was done to give you an idea of the differences between the 2 aircraft to help you with these types of decisions.

Can you broadcast live over Facebook with the 30 t
Dave, any new model drone will need to be made to comply with remote id from the manufacturer starting in Sept of this year. And in June, there is no final specification?? That seems ridiculous, right? I suspect DJI has a very good idea whether or not the capability for complying with remote id is if fact ready to go. Maybe they can't yet say "absolute" "positively", but they basically know. Thank you for the comprehensive video.
I suspect remote ID will be delayed just like Part 107 was 2 years delayed even under a direct order from the President.
Hey I have a question about the m30T last week you were flying the drone and had a lost connection between the drone and the remote control. The settings for lost connection Were hover. what will the drone do when it reaches low battery ?
We were still with no connection with the drone, will it start returning to home or land where at it's ?
if Smart Return is turned on it will come back, if its off it will fall out of the sky.

Is there an IR spotlight attachment available for this drone yet?
There not be an IR spotlight for the m30. You will need to use the M300 for that feature.
Does it have smart follow feature? That is following the location of the controller. For example, if i control it from a moving car, but i want to be able to look around me from the sky.
Smart track will follow any update that you select it to pick up. Objects should show up as green circles and as you select it the camera will stay locked in on it. It won't follow the object but the camera will stay locked in on it.
What streaming abilities exist to get video to command center? Is there the ability to specify a URL to stream to? Does dronesense work on the smart controller? Or is there ONLY HDMI out?
There are free ways to do it streaming to UA-cam or Facebook but they are not secure and very inconsistent. The best option we have found is an option called DroneSense that works very well, very secure, very consistent. You don't have to buy equipment and its a monthly charge. It also does a lot more than just streaming and handles Pilot management and maintenance as well.
There is also DJI flight hub 2. I believe a free trial exists with the beta version.

This is basically your Phantom 5 Pro Advanced V2+ that everyone was waiting on.
Actually it couldn't be more further apart than any Phantom. This is water resistive, with outstanding zoom capability, awesome thermal, and 30 minutes of flight time. This has all Matrice 300 features like Smart track, and grid mode with Pilot 2 functionality. This has no landing gear for no drag and flies incredibly smooth and can handle up to 33 mph winds. No P5 was going to or will be able to do that.

Does the cell tower interfere with the control of the drone, if working?
Cell towers that have high power dish emitters can interfer with any drone's signal regardless of make or model and there's nothing that you can do except set the come home altitude higher than the cell tower so it will come home if you lose the signal. The issue is the intensity of the signal and nothing to do with magnetic-elecromagnetic issues. SO RTK does not help in that situation.

Can a czi c30n attach to the m30?
No sir, no way. The M30 can't interchange camera sensors and can only carry a payload of about 290 grams. The C30N is very heavy.

This Drone could be the best creation of DJI, and the best Drone ever made!
Even I believe in some how it’s beside the Matrice 300!
However this Drone M30 series has 2 big downsides;
1- You can’t pay $20,000( Australian price of DJI M30T basic kit with DJI care 1 year) in a Drone where the main camera, hardly can turned left and right, I mean when you turned left and right, you can see the arms, propellers, and stuffs of the Drone, like in the whole frame!!!
The main camera should have been able to turned 360 degrees, or at the list 180 degrees in a clean view, only looking for the subject in the frame, specially when it has been “Built/ Made” for first safety responders, like Fire fighters, Police and others!!
2- The main camera should be able to swap for other payload, like P1/L1 and more, specially because it is very compact and great drone with its size and portability!
However about swapping the cameras/ payloads, if they haven’t thought about that before realising, at the list they should have made 4 different versions…
- First version M30/ M30T,
-Second version M30 P1
-Third version M30 L1
-Forth version the Dock one, as it already has been made( but this one it’s specific for companies and stuffs).
If the DJI Enterprise Team had thinking about that, it would have been selling just like water bottles!!
Specially for many trades out there, and many different industries would benefit from that choice to buy, different needs but in the same Drone, even more special because of those many features like as deploy time, Walter-proof, portability and on!

How could DJI make such a backward step by using a 128 GB card (maximum) from what the Mavic 3 Cine has?
Two different drones with 2 different purposes and requirements. Matrice 30 does not do Pro res or 10 bit filming. The M30 is for public safety not film makers. The Cine unit for the most part will use the internal SSD drive because the file sizes are huge. With the M30, the camera's file sizes are significantly smaller thus not needing more than 128 GB. IN fact during our filming and testing of the M30 for this video we never even filled up a 64 gig card once.

manual for m30t indicates that water damage is not covered by warranty despite ip rating. just fyi.
Water damage is not covered under the manufacturer warranty but DJI Enterprise shield covers it under the first year of your plan and that plan is renewable.

I know the M30 is not designed for videography but does seem to show the blades in flight quite a bit. What are other people's opinion on this?
You have a 105 degree pan range. You have about a 45 degree range in wide camera straight on that you won’t see the props.

The main thing I don't like about the Mavic 3T is the controller! To small! 7 inch should be the min! I use a 11 inch tablet on my Mavic 3 and still miss stuff often!
Not bright enough I guess as I'm always adjusting EV and over exposing!

I've got a old 20 inch monitor i use a Firestick plugged into the DVI port. Helps tons! But its not very bright and I have to drag a Ext cord to it for power.
These things will evolve into the "squidies" from the Matrix.

Several times a week there are between 1 and up to 3 of these being flown around the area I live and its pissing me off. I could understand them doing it for an investigation but its not. They're just doing because they're bored. I live out in the country too

There have been many illegals coming through our nations southern border. Would this drone be capable of deploying or dropping some sort of "die", like a florescent pink, or hot yelllow, on illegals as they scurry accross our border?
As we discussed in this video, the M30 has no ability for payload drop systems. You would need to go to the Matrice 300 with a TH4 drop system.
