Im new to the drone world and purchased my first drone , the m30T for deer recovery. After using mine this first season and seeing and talking with other operators, i can tell you im very happy with my purchase. Anyone looking to get into deer recovery, i recommend the M30T for various reasons.
I know that in some states it’s not legal unless you have your 107. I personally don’t want to encourage hunters to take a bad shot. Relying on a drone to find it just doesn’t sit well with me.
No hunter is going to be encouraged to take a bad shot because they have a drone. Sometimes bad shots arent preventable. And most times great shots dont kill deer id rather find me deer and not waste it. @ronmarvicsin7709
I asked the same thing. They said that they did such a great job in design that they provably won’t touch it. They had the 300, remember that big hawk thing. Now thry made them smaller with 3T n 30t
We got the M30T last month because it's at least -20C for about 4-5 months a year in Manitoba (normally). However, after testing in the cold weather I decided I don't think I would ever do an inspection in temps colder than -10C, and the M3T can handle -10C. At these temps fingers and toes do not last as long as the drone and I have zero interest in freezing my ass off for hours at a time. Building envelope inspection and PV inspection must be done in dry weather so the IP rating of the M30T is a non-issue there. It's also better to fly the small M3E in an urban environment for many reasons. So for us the only advantage to having the M30T at this point is the SWEET RC Plus controller and the extra optical zoom. Sure, we will end up using the IP rating for lost dog SAR the odd time, but we're not making any money doing that. I would argue if you are not a first responder you do not need the M30T. We are considering selling the M30T for the M3T.
Excellent and informative video. Thank you. I once got certified Lvl 1 and prematurely got my Inspire 2 rigged for thermal. Poor decision. Had one job* lined up when COVID hit and everything fell apart after that. Had no interest in thermal services and a very expensive lesson learned. *Job was to inspect oil tanks in a tank field located in Cushing, OK. The hiring entity wasn't even associated with the site.
So, most important question! How good is the thermal camera? Wats the +- 2c° ore more like +-10c° of the temperature? That's a really important diteil!
I went with a 210 rtk with z30 and xt2 for my first enterprise drone. Got it all cheaper than what it would cost me for a m3t. Learning as much as I can before I decide if I dip into a 350 or a m30t
Video is very nicely put together - Mavic 3T would make great addition to ranch / hunting / horse operation. Finding a horse under trees / shade next to impossible. No snow, very little rain here. Mavic 3T looks like it. Does it take good pictures/video ?
Mavis is dji top drone. I have the air 3 without the thermal stuff, and it takes AMAZING photos. I cant even emagine what kind of photos this thi g takes
It does take good pictures and 4K video, although it’s not built for imagery. The more you zoom in the more pixelated the image will become, so you’ll want to zoom as little as possible for the best results. Again, it’s not really a photography/video drone, but can do the job depending on the circumstances.
Hi guys, can you please help me out on this: which one is the cheapest but still fair image quality thermalvision drone? I need it for wandering livestock at night, nothing fancy. Wont even think will use it daytime. Thanks in advance!
Flying for more than 32 minutes on the M3T is nearly impossible - even in *perfect* conditions with all the energy intensive functions switched off. DJI was pretty misleading with their numbers - more than they were with the venerable M2 series. 28-30 minutes (100% to 15%) seems to be my average as well as other pilots in the community. But, if anyone has cracked 40 minutes on an M3 series drone, speak up!
I agree, I posted a video testing hover time(rated 38 min from DJI) with and without the JZ T30 spotlight, I was able to get 28 min with the light mounted and 30 min without. Flying in the real world I can see 32 mins max before you hit critical battery levels.
What are your thoughts about the Autel 640T? I'VE BEEN A PART 107 PILOT FOR 2 YEARS JUST DOING ROOFING INSPECTION REAL ESTATE WITH MY PHANTOM 4 PRO AND I'M TRYING TO MOVE UP TO SOMETHING BIGGER AND BETTER AND THERMAL SOUNDS VERY ENTICING. SEEMS LIKE I'LL HAVE TO GET A LOAN JUST TO GET A THERMAL DRONE.
M30T doesn’t have Time-Sync. Important to know I guess. The M3T does have Time-Sync and because of that its better (way better!) suited for mapping / surveys.
About RTK. On 3T you have only one antena, on 30T you have 2 antenas. The difference is that with 2 antenas you can substitute digital compass, with one not. I fly over PV fields and if there are ex.: high voltage wires, it can messup your internal digital compass, then your metadata on your shots. Basicly the drone des not know the direction it is heading. First: in DJI Terra it can lead to mess in postprocessed image(map) of the field. Second: DANGEROUS. Risk of impact to the pole/collumn as the drone drifts/slides in auto mode.
Is there any downside to going with the Mavic 3T over the Mavic 3E? I would like thermal imaging as well as the ability to create 3D maps which I know the 3E is great for. Is a 3T with the RTK hat comparable to the 3E with the same RTK hat?
The camera on the Mavic 3E is much better than the Mavic 3T. You’re going to get higher resolution maps and a mechanical shutter, which is important for mapping. The 3T can map, just going to be lower resolution.
@@AerialInfluence so if you want both thermal imaging and high resolution mapping you've got to move up to the M30T? Does the M30 also have a better camera for mapping over the M30T?
@@ThomasFisher-c6s Unfortunately, the M30 and M30T have the same cameras, besides the addition of the thermal on the T. Again, still a good image, just not going to be as high quality as the Mavic 3E. The setup up would actually be the Matrice 350, which allows you to swap out cameras. So you could have a dedicated thermal and a dedicated mapping camera. You can even put both payloads on at the same time. The cost of that setup is upwards of $20K.
I don't understand how that case wasn't entrapment. The CO called the guy and asked him to help him locate a deer he supposedly shot. Then when he did, he was arrested.
@@MakeSomethingAmazing yeah me too if I had it but it kind of sucks when you see homeless people all over the United States and you think about spending 10 grand on a toy. it's just kind of selfish. if you ask me, I'd rather just buy the cheaper $1,000 toy and help someone else out

They need to make the 3T weatherproof. The size makes it highly preferable. Then add add optical zoom and no longer need bigger 30T.
I volunteer for a dog rescue - we had a foster get lost and someone offered to use their thermal drone -that’s why I’m here - learning a lot

Does either of them have higher FPS recording?
Ideally I could record 60FPS with the RGB at the very least
If I were going to get one I’m going to get a M30T I think because the area I live in is very rainy and needs this for more S&R help

New announcement next week - let’s see what that does to this decision. My guess is it makes it harder by adding one to the mix :)

change focus from AFC TO AFS

The M3T does have Time-Sync and because of that its better (way better!) suited for mapping / surveys.
This is key info that's missing from the video - you can't actually do proper survey grade mapping with the M30T.
