Hey Philipp, you're a legend, thanks for your comment. 1) pumping the brakes is quite common in racing. The guy in the yellow corvette has a better line than you did. High in low out, that first corner after the finish line you stayed more in the middle and he hugged the wall on his driver side and ran it in harder to that corner. Races are won in the corners, nice ride.
Please remember that, as stated in the video, the Brennan Team is still testing things out. The yellow Corvette is also packing a Toyota Nascar engine.
it seems to me as you guys would be in need of a proper/skillfull driver that can actually push the machine - just by looking at it i can see so more potential..
10k RPM , nearly 900 HP and that incredible tranny they built . I kinda expect more from this car . He is driving it on the ragged edge , there is more here to be had . They have to get that power down more efficiently . Cool car though for sure .
Then you would know that they were still testing and sorting out a few mechanical/electronic issues here and there. Furthermore, an attentive eye would also spot the tires coming into temperature around the last laps of each race. All things that put together makes it for a difficult setup to manage while racing and proof of Grant's ability and skills to adapt to the conditions.
Just for the record - its not an LS engine

Cross plane with a Bob weight just under 1500 gms
Why not use the AiM camera footage with data overlay??
Because quality is not what I'm looking for and also that's not the type of video I want to create. That would be too easy isn't it?
@@racecars.universe would have been to nice to see some top speed number.. maybe some lap times? I'd even go crazy and show some "G" forces!!
@@racecars.universe Just an observation, thats all. No shade here, its all about the development.
exactly right - we were having some issues with the car with tyres and trying to get them to work - too hard a compound and gearbox shifting issues
What's the difference between this and a C5R?
Fast car between corners --'
Yes it was impressive to see
it seems to me as you guys would be in need of a proper/skillfull driver that can actually push the machine - just by looking at it i can see so more potential..
300 kmh is not 200 mph. It's 186. That's why a lot of our speed metrics over here go by 0 to 62 mph since 62 is the same as 100 kmh.
10th comment like this 🥱
What series racing is this?
Super V8 NZ
what is the name of this races?
What you mean the name?
i mean, how it is called that type of races.
This Corvette races in a class called Super V8 NZ
This vette sounds like it has a flat plane crank especially racing 10k rpm
It actually doesn't but I get what you mean
Driver: Paul Clarke [edit: yep, it's not Paul, it's Grant driving]
Uuhhhmmm nope. That was the precious video with his '69 Mustang
Oopsies. Yeah this is not Paul, this is Grant Brennan driving it, sorry.
All good brother, means you're watching my videos and I'm happy with that!
10k RPM , nearly 900 HP and that incredible tranny they built . I kinda expect more from this car . He is driving it on the ragged edge , there is more here to be had . They have to get that power down more efficiently . Cool car though for sure .
Another comment form someone that hasn't watched the whole video, drawing conclusions on an approximate impression of how things really went down
@@racecars.universe I appreciate your insight . However I did watch it !
What engine is it if its not a LS?
I mean that's called intellectual property, don't you think?
