It's such a great moment's.. when American muscle car such as Corvette,can compete internationally and won 1st place in the event with the best driver and all the Corvette teams.. Great job guys 👌👌👌

This is such a healthy racing scene. Racing with your friends and against the clock. Seeing all the guys jump in to help was heartwarming for sure.

Corvette power....they are literally built for performance, so tuning and modding them will just make them faster...great driving Feras.
I know this video is about the vette but the fact that the 968 was almost 10 SECONDS faster around a track as small as Sydney is absolutely fucking insane.

time attack cars are so cool, everything we wanted in video games as kids. Big HP, big liveries, and bigger wings!
For those unfamiliar with the Eastern Creek circuit, the main straight is 1.3km long and starts on a downhill ...by the time you get to turn one (at the end of the straight) you are absolutely smokin'
It's actually a pretty fun circuit to drive.

Wondering why they care so much about small aerodynamic details but the car doesn’t have side windows? I‘m pretty sure that would help a lot to keep the airflow clean towards the rear wing!

Why does a 71 cm tyre incur a weight penalty ? Is it Pro AM vs Pro class differences ?
The taller tyre will have a larger radius and therefore slightly bigger contact patch and more grip.

I wonder, why doesn't the corvette have side windows? Doesn't that ruin the aerodynamics of the car?
I watched an interview that showed that he had a rear radiator with 2 huge electric fans that dumped the hot air down and out the back. I think that may have something to do with it. I also understand that he is reaching his "limiter" of 187 mph with this aerodynamic setup so he may not benefit from a "closed" interior. But you make a very good point, it would seem to help the car be smother in the air but maybe it only effects the air behind and since it is a time challenge, it does not matter.

I just really hate that this dude misleads his “track records”. When they’re usually some specific class or sub category but he always labels it as “new track record set” on every track he touches.
Other than that this dudes build and career is amazing. Crazy social media presence as well.

I just dont understand how they have any traction on the straight aways . I have drag radials and same hp and i have zero traction unless on a prepped track
Early in the video he mentioned the track being green after rain because there will be rubber deposited on the track during racing. It's not as sticky as drag prep but they spend substantial resources managing tire temp to optimize grip as well. I suspect that is why they went back to medium compound from soft for their winning run since he said the softs were getting greasy.
Yeah. Its gotta partially be the insane downforce, and then also the well-kept track surface, highly monitored tires (tire warmers etc).
My brother has an 88mm turbo c6 grand sport, with 345 Nittos & 800whp.. and it struggles for traction until 4th gear. And its only marginally better on hot days lol
It's the insane amount of downforce planting the tires! I'm sure that rear wing is generating 1500+ lbs of downforce at high speeds!
