"Hot Sauce Stratego" OR "How Dom stopped worrying and learned to love Da Bomb"
Underated joke
This is such a banger comment holy shit
👏🏼 This comment should be higher. 👏🏼
Incredible comment. I hope Dom gets to read that out at some point.
I was hoping they would make this joke!!
If House Rules is just Dom and Sully Power Hour from now on I'M HYPED
Dom just makes everything better
I was just going to say I love House Rules lately.
I must be out of the loop. Did something happen to the last guy? I forgot his name.
@@doigt6590 I was looking for an answer! That’s a shame, but it makes sense - I hope whatever it was wasn’t too bad :/
@@doigt6590 got it thanks
"Haunted by nothing but the memory of a thought" is both one of the funniest and most profound things I've heard. 😂
"She's so Southern, she's French!" is an underrated joke.
That one made me cackle 😂
I've genuinely used "I'm so Northern, I'm Scottish" before, so I'm all here for it.
“I’ve already got the toilet paper in the fridge.” Is one of Dom’s best quotes
"I've been to war before"
LMAO
Fun story, my parents used to be big fans of vindaloo pizzas. As a family we were used to it. However, when family friend's children joined in one night, they had to put the toilet paper in the freezer for an hour in preparation
We had an add in South Africa where a guy got up and walked to the freezer, took out a roll and then the Nandos logo came up...
6:43
Dom: '' It begins. ''
Sullivan: '' A coward's move! ''
Dom: '' What, going fowards towards the enemy? ''
Sullivan: ''... Yep. ''
I love NRB.
All wars start with a charge
Least deranged NRB clip
You have to taubt your enemy, the true battle is that of the mind!
Attacking like a Frenchman.
Dom is the literal devil. Hot sauce won't faze him.
Edit: Sullivan getting the bomb right away is just peak Sully.
He's not the devil. He's The State
@@thelonescullerSame thing
@@thelonesculler What's the difference?
you know sully was crapping fire the next day
Twice in a row, as well.
Dom torturing Sullivan is my favorite genre of video 😂
sully getting two bombs in a row is PEAK sully
I love that I had a Pavlovian response to the Clocktower music. Unlike these poor boys, my salivating was metaphorical.
Sameeeee I can't wait to see more Ben and Tom, they're such a fun duo
@@crimson-cloudI haven't been this excited for a Ben-Tom team up since the yogscast!
Same!! I immediately perked up and felt happy before I even registered what the music meant 😂
SAAAME I jumped when I heard it
The new series of adorable date nights on House Rules starts now......
Pretty sure this is the 3rd House Rules they have both been involved in together.
I think “The Bomb” got rid of the few sanity points Dom had left
what sanity points
@@Whitetiger78904 it's a Call of Chuthulu joke. In that game you play as a human being with what are called Sanity points. Basically they are the health bar for your brain. If you lose enough of them, you are rendered completely insane, as a result you lose the ability to think rationally, and are to the whim of the person in charge of the game. During most games of Chuthulu. The insane characters don't live by the end.
@@JackTempest94 I feel like he meant it in the context of Dom having no sanity points from the start
Bold of you to assume he was sane in the first place
So he negative
Dom’s got the vibe of a guy who would absolutely kill it as Hyde in the Jekyll and Hyde musical
Oh my god... I have to see this!
"Fire, it's just fire" "It's like someone opened a flickknife inside my mouth" and Dom fretting that he's going to be cancelled for his ironic masculinity - I can't get enough of these two
Dom laughing maniacally while Sully cries perfectly encapsulates this episode. And really the whole channel lately...
I for one love how Dom always has been an integral part of house Rules. I for one look forward to many glorious years of House rules led by our supreme leader of the Dommunist Party
"It hurts to talk and live" might be the most relatable sentence ever said on No Rolls Barred.
“Ah yes, French military genius.” - Dom
That hurt me and I’m not even French 🥲
The French have the best military record in history, but just because they had a pretty big bummer in the last big war they fought everyone sees them as bad in military strategy. Still funny comment though.
@@jaspermooren5883 eeeh, there are many better records than the french, but I agree with the spirit of the point in that the french had a capable and competent military for most of their history.
@@doigt6590 I thought if you just look at the victory over defeat ratio the French come out on top, at least of like the major European nations. But I could be wrong with that, that's just what I heard somewhere. It's just a UA-cam comment, I didn't super thoroughly research the subject before posting.
@@jaspermooren5883 Well you see, I first thought of the Mongols whose chief enemies for most of their history were themselves and the Romans which even though they suffered many defeats, their ratios still come on top especially for due to their long existence from which it owes an exhaustive list of military achievements and of those many battles have passed into myth and simply cannot be overshadowed by any people of history before and after their time.
Others I thought also, but less for the ratio than their military might which outshines all in history and their deeds became legends that simply no armed force will ever compare to again like the small forces of the swedes vanquishing many powers greater than they were or the small navy of the koreans defeating foes many times their sizes regularly enough during the first japanese invasion of korea.
Or of empires so massive by the weight of their conquests, like the incas, the mayas, the macedonians, the russians and of one in particular that is responsible for the fact that today we speak english to each other due to its unrelenting spirit of conquest.
Even the Prussians which have existed only for a brief while before being absorbed into a greater design of their own seem still more mighty than the whole of french military history and indeed the prussians have consistently crushed the french many times.
Whether in might or in ratio or in achievement, the french military pales in contrast to these powers and indeed at the end of the former two, it had no answer to their might and suffered defeat after defeat.
The french survived because they adapted superbly by learning both from defeat and victory and from the pressure of being neighbours of many of the strongest powers of history and I don't wish to diminish their achievements, but to me it seems a great exaggeration to call them the best and an unjustly underrated evaluation of history's finest.
@@doigt6590 superb!
Crying my eyes out watching this 🤣 Jesus Christ. "haunted by the memory of a thought", "a bugger's game... It's time for the buggering!" "I think the bomb's made me super powered" this is absolutely STACKED with bangers
Seeing Dom more and more in these videos is such a treat, because i could have a bad day, only for him to show up and insults everyone for an hour
Everytime someone, or anyone says "Sullivan" with a little pause and he immediately says "no no no no" , it's always hillarious.
Sullivan decending into madness while being punished by hot sauce is 10 times better than drunk sullivan. Well having dom with him in the video always helps lol.
As a note, in the base rules of stratego, bombs do not disappear until defused.probably a house rule so they don't have any forgetful uses of da bomb
Almost went to double check it when no-one was mentioning it in the comments. XD
Could have been an honest missplay as well, since they refer to it as "I believe the bomb goes away? -- I think so." -situation.
Also (SPOILERS) killing the 10 with the 1 wins you the game...
@@Greencapybara Now THAT I did check. But that seems to be a variant or a houserule.
Although taking out the strongest piece is effective, it isn't stated as victory in of itself. At least in the rules I could find.
It’s crazy how many people I’ve played with that remove the bombs/minefield when it gets hit. Completely ruins the point of the 3’s
@@LaughingOwl10 well it means you use the 3s to look for the flag amongst unmoved ones. but yea it greatly removes its use
I love when Terri has just as much fun behind the camera as the people in front of it. Delightful
3:18 when I tell you the moment I heard the BOTC music play that I started shaking with excitement, would be a bit of an understatement
The two new episodes were really great!
Glad it wasn’t just me 😂
There are so many great folks on this channel, but there's something special about the Dom/Subby ....er, Sully.... dynamic.
I think Sully, Dom, Jon and Rosie are the people who can bring the energy that a 1on1 House Rules needs. Dom vs Rosie especially was hilarious in LOTB.
"Just when I started stop your stop started shut up"
Hah, poetry.
35:19
Sully: Well the blood hasn't gone to your brain yet, like it has for me
Dom: Yeah, well, I think that's because you're stupid. It was like, 'where have we got some space to push all this hot blood? Oh well there's nothing up here, guys! This attic space hasn't been used for years. It's just an old rocking horse, some cobwebs and a broken piano!'
I diiiieeeeeedd 😂😂😂😂
Haunted by nothing but the memory of a thought😭😭
One of my favourite running jokes on this channel is Dom's one-sided rivalry with Pete
The jalapeno on pizza thing: might be because the pizza ones are pickled so all the capcacin in the seeds have been pulled out
Most jalapenos in the UK, on or off pizzas, are pickled
Dunno if that’s true. Jalapeños at Subway, for example, have also been pickled, and you can find some real zingers in there depending on how many seeds are present.
Everyone telling Sully how brave he is as he holds a piece of chicken and mumbles his "it's a lovely piece of chocolate" mantra as if he is going to die made me laugh so hard 😂
Edit: OH NO. HE'S SINGING. MY MAN IS ON DEATH ROW!
"You've got a face that's annoying me" 😂
Omg I couldn't even keep track of all the amazing lines in this episode of House Rules…
Amazing how Dom turned his game around as he looked doomed to lose at one point
Dom: "You can't figure out my strategy if I have none"
This is literally how I play chess lol.
Dom is properly playing as red comrades.
It was perfect for the two, Blue for Sully because of Chelsea Club, and Red for Dom because the Dommunist Party
Dom whispering sweet nothings to a chicken tender is something I need more of in my life.
Sully singing my favorite my fair lady song, proves he’s my favorite cast member
The music really makes it sound like when Dom says ‘oh it’s very different this time’ it’s because she’s reached enlightenment and the secrets of the universe have been revealed to him
Considering the British conquered half the world in search of spice, their distinctive lack of being able to handle it is hysterical 😂
It gets even funnier when you realize that there is a direct causal chain from one to the other, once spice got cheap due to all the imperialism the rich folk couldnt use it to show off, so the new way to show off became to have a good enough cook to make the spice less food actually edible, which then trickled down to the lower classes like it always does, leading to a general lack of spices (with exceptions of course, this whole thing is a lot more complicated than a youtube comment could give it justice) in the brittish cuisine, which then leads to a low tolerance of spicy food due to lacking inoculation
I'm curious as to where the jalapenos on Dom's pizza hail from, because jalapenos from, say, Illinois are not as hot as ones from Texas. It stands to reason that English jalapenos would not be bred for the heat levels we breed them for, here.
@@Mordaris I haven't done a thorough investigation, but the jalapenos that I've encountered in both the UK and Germany are not very hot at all
@@Mordaris I've always been under the impression that the spiciness of jalapenos depends mostly on the amount of stress the plant has gone through, not the geological location.
I've grown jalapenos in Minnesota that seemed hotter than store bought habaneros and ghosts.
All peppers will vary in spiciness, jalapenos very much so.
And since he stated that jalapenos on pizzas are always the hot ones, I wonder if any other spices in the pizza are playing a role.
@Cory_Springer We grow then in our garden, and exclusively purchase the ones labeled "hot", each year. They're really hot, and really good. I'm sure the stress plays a part, too, but I'm also sure selective breeding is also a factor.
Dom is already a spicy Daddy
Oink oink little piglet!
Sullivan's face turned red even before he eats da bomb.
Thanks for introducing us to American Hot Pizza! As an American this doesn’t exist here but sounds interesting!
Also an American, also never heard of it. Looking it up though it's just pepperoni and jalapeno (and maybe onions), so I guess I've had it before!
I was just wondering about this.
@@illyannalavynne2033 update: it’s the most delicious toppings combo I have ever had. 1 million percent recommend
Yeah, I had never heard of that before either 😂
Based on their description, we have it, we just don't call it that. We call our "American pizza" a pepperoni pizza, and we call our "American hot pizza" a pepperoni pizza with jalapenos. Honestly, it's probably more accurate to call those pizzas "American" because pepperoni pizzas were invented in New York in the early 20th century and aren't a thing in Italy.
Already one of my favourite ever NRB videos. As a proud little piglet of the Dommunist party as well as a beau-liever you know anything with Sully and Dom is going to be pure gold 🪙🪙
Fantastic guys, under sufferance keep us the great content 😂😂😂
cant wait to see "Monopoly but hot sauce"
18:14 you can see in Dom's eyes that he cares. A little bit, an absolutely minuet amount. But he cares.
I think its the only time we've ever seen him feel even a sliver of remorse.
@@miscstuff1238 I don't think we would have ever seen that if Sullivan didn't hit 2 bombs in a row.
dom and sully are such a fun duo
Dom is so right (in general but also specifically on this point in particular).
I was in the vicinity of a single jalapeno at somepoint growing up, it explains why I'm queer. 100%. 😂 Can confirm the hypothesis is proven correct. 😊 Some identify with fruity but I guess for some of us it's spicy. 😄😊
I loved jalapenos as a kid. Now I understand everything. 😂
Is it wierd that I like a lot of types of fruit and fruit flavored things like Gushers and fruit punch and spicy food yet I think I'm straight?
Dom and Sully do work well together for this sort of thing.
I love how you can hear the full regret in Dom's voice at the very start of the video.
This duo is the best thing to cure depression.
Keep up the good work lads
When Sullivan said, "It hurts to talk. And be alive." I felt that.
"My ears have popped" got me 😂
Dom, continuing to prove nominative determinism
I do know someone named Mr. Porch who builds houses with porches, so there might be some truth to it.
give whoever does the music for these a raise 🙏🙏🙏
2:20 The comeback of "fridge magnets!"
18:20 my favorite moment in any House Rules ever
Dom's look 😂😂
Legendary 😂😂😂
"I tried to help you!"
Stratego is one of my favorite guilty pleasure games - and this is already one of my favorite torture videos!
My brother loves hot sauce. He bought Da Bomb once. I tried a few droplets on my chicken. I damn near ate half a loaf of bread and downed half a gallon of milk.
I loved that Dom slowly worked his way up from 5 for a while there and Sully went "NOPE! I'm going for the Bomb first!" By the end of this episode, I am certain neither of them could really taste anything anyways. Lol By the way, how does one get their own personal General Teri? Inquiring for a friend.
Quite a way to experience the ‘heat’ of battle
This might be the best house rules yet as far as conversation goes.
Sullys Mutley laugh is out in full force and i love it!
This is a great variant, especially if you are bad at Stratego and love chicken with hot sauce.
I really want a house rules with Dom and Pete Quinell.
I love how spontaneous Dom was about his likings.
Good job Dom, and you'll always be my favourite person and entertainer
Oh! *This* is the one Luke mentioned. This is gonna be a fun one! ...for the audience. I feel for the members of the Dommunist Party here.
Also, there are some lovely sounding sauces in this video. Scotch bonnet peppers carry great flavor with their heat. The only one I have personally tried is the Dawson's, and I love it! I would probably only start getting bad around the 9 level, but as long as the flavor carries through, I'd be okay. Da Bomb is just bad, spice with no flavor from everything I've heard, though I would still give it at least one try.
@@BrodysseusYeah, I've heard from the guy who owns my local hot sauce shop that Da Bomb basically tastes like battery acid.
Alternate Title: Dr. StrangeDom or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb.
I backed the BotC at the "Have a NBR cast member describe your death" tier and I got Daddy Dom! And the rest of Ravenswood Bluff melted in Molten Hot Sauce while I was off in the corner having died of an unrelated death, it was fantastic, I've not had a chance or inclination to say it before but Thank you So much Dom! And looking forward to the Clocktower games!
That's what this name is called!!
I have been searching for this for YEARS with no success. Now that I have a name I can find it!
Also, the original game was called l’attaque, in case that’s what you’re remembering.
Next do Kerplunk with hot sweets instead of marbles. Whoever makes them drop has to eat them.
Anything Kerplunk I'll be on board with! Kerplunk is just so fun and tense, and has punishments along the way (unlike Jenga)
Barshens did something similar with Beanboozled.
Dom's thing with the jalapenos on a pizza making him spend the whole morning on the toilet is because when you mix fat with spicy food, it does crazy thing to your digestion. So you have to be careful doing spice with cheese or cream
Nah, he's just a Brit who doesn't eat spicy food.
In so many ways, I feel like this was the perfect House Rules video to watch after my introduction to NRB through the Call of Cthulu campaign. Also, I know it's likely been said over and over and over at this point (sorry Dom), but finding out Dom is gay made me feel so welcomed and included 🏳🌈
Dom: *Evil Laughter*
Sully: "Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... And my arm... even my fingers... The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past!"
Biggest smile when I heard the blood on clock tower music start
By the hubris of man, he hath brought destruction upon himself, and upon his “friend” Sully.
I love the way the plates became palettes of pain
For those of you who haven’t eaten da bomb before, Sullivan’s reaction was pretty mild for how bad it is
IM SO EXCITED FOR BLOOD ON THE CLOCK TOWER
My mouth can handle spice but my digestive system cant.
This was brilliant! Great Game Dom. Loved seeing one of my sauces on the lineup too… and what a great move to try it on! 😂
To be fair, given how bad people are at strategy, a completely random board probably would make a lot of people improve.
This is much better than the previous "drinking game" games from before. I feel like this is safer for all involved, and ultimately funnier.
35:06
You can just see Dom's soul leaving his body.
That's implying he has one
This episode is on par with the battleship episode for making me laugh hysterically Dom and Sullivan are such a great duo
I own a bottle of Da’Bomb I’ll dab through this video out of solidarity. Good luck gents.
I thought I might have started a blood on the clocktower by accident. So excited:)
2:17 I love how the fridge magnets have made a comeback (from the Men At Work video I think it was?)
"Haunted by nothing but the memory of a thought" is going on my tombstone
Pete: do you know me?
Dom: I know you very well. You are a fishmonger.
"I do feel a lot of blood in my head...don't you?"
🤣
💀
the broken piano got me
so funny
I love Sullivan’s laugh, it’s too precious.
If they ever have a final game please get Teri playing
When you were talking about 'Southern Jessie' and were thinking it is an American term you were probably thinking of 'Southern Belle'.
:O dom didn't take a number nine hotsauce. when he indeed lost a 9.
Im sorry i know that Dom and Sully and Hot sauce is an all time great, but can we talk about the Clocktower tease? Since Ben said on stream you're recording with scripts with unrealised characters who will be out before the episodes debut i am so PUMPED
This is so entertaining. Thank you for the entertainment and hilarity.
One annoying thing for me is removal of bombs after attacking them. The whole point of the 3's are that they are required to get to some flags because bombs don't get removed except by them. If you run out of 3's and the flag is behind bombs, you have to actually go for the alternative win condition.
What is the alternate Win Condition?
@@king_archfiend5311if you can't move on your turn, you lose
Very entertaining indeed. :)
Whether an oversight or not about the bombs, it was a house rules episode where the traditional rules are always secondary.
This would be a fun one to watch for the next Lord of the Board, playing the standard way.
I think it's a decent house rule to have for beginners
Dom in charge of the red army. How fitting
I don't often find myself laughing alone, but with you two, I can't help it.
So freaking good.
i love how well these 2 bounce of eachother, def the best 2 to put in this episode
