    Amazing video!
    Could you tell me how you determined that the 900ul in the first example was for the total volume? Is it because it's called sample diluent (like sample + diluent), or did it have something to do with the "in" keyword? I followed you for the rest of the examples, but I am missing something for that first example.

      yes, the "in" word is key to the way the problem is worded, but I now feel as if this is poorly worded. I used a problem set from a colleague that retired. It would be better if it was either 100 uL in 900 uL as the total volume of the solution OR written as 100 uL of sample AND 800 uL of diluent. If you rewrite the problem as 100 uL sample and 900 uL diluent, it becomes a 1/10 dilution (1:9)
