The baroness is her real mum
I know people are split about this ending, but personally I loved it. The Baroness didn't have an inch of love in her, as a psychotic narcissist she only thought of herself. Killing her reputation was the best way of revange.
The only thing that confused me is why Roger seems to hate her
I sometimes like to imagine what would have happened if the Baroness wasn't faking it here, and actually decided to take Estella/Cruella under her wing and accept her as her heir. They repeatedly call her a narcist--isn't one version of narcissism to want a legacy? For her name to live on in greatness? The Baroness wouldn't just be know for her fashion house, but as the founder of a fashion dynasty that would last generations. It would also save her some public face, because as she says--of course only someone that came from her could ever do as much as Cruella had. It really was some short-sighted pettiness on her part to get rid of Estella/Cruella out of greed or jealously.
Well. That was her character. She was vain to a MAJOR fault. It knew no bounds. She was everything and didn’t want to share it in any way shape or fashion.
Honestly- she was more Cruella DeVil than Cruella in this film.
And frankly- with that, the setup for a sequel I might not be surprised that SHE sent Pongo and Perdita to their owners as a start to a plan on getting back at her.
Ruin Cruellas name by setting her up to be a puppy killer.
For that she would have to come to terms with letting someone outshine her or shine as bright as her. She would never allow that
@@RogueT-Rex8468 Cruella sent them to their owners because she's at least a little nicer. Maybe the sequel will be like Maleficent movies where Cruella is kinda the anti hero and saves the puppies from her mom after she got out of prison instead.🤔
@@savannahhague4989 well- that’s one way to think that. But the reason I don’t think she did was simply this: that would make Pongo and Perditas pups incest. (Forget the fact that purebreds normally are incest to begin with)
Disney does not place that implication in their movies. They completely altered Kovu from being Scars son just to prevent cousin incest.
I could be entirely wrong- I just think it makes sense for Baroness to attempt ruining Cruella by using one, her friend that she knew for a fact was working with her, and using a lawyer she knows hated her. (She was shown to have deadly insight of people) It’s a long shot, but honestly the idea of using those two as a means to publicly ruin her by labeling her a puppy killer would be pretty big.
@@RogueT-Rex8468 Cruella sent the puppies to Roger and Anita, not the Baroness. But your suggestion, that the Baroness could take advantage of this thing to frame Cruella and ruin her reputation makes totally sense.

It's not here, but Cruella telling the hounds to sit is a favourite moment for me.
I think if Cruella hadn't gotten caught by the Baroness as Estella before their true connection was revealed she would have for sure been willing to claim Estella as her daughter. Think about it. The Baroness straight up said it, ur genuis makes sense your MINE. And she would love nothing more then to be able to claim another brilliant work, even if that work is a fellow designer as her own. She could claim to be the one who taught Estella all she knows and back then success of the child was credited to the parent.

Hmm, would Cruella's story be Pro Revenge or Nuclear? She destroyed Baroness's reputation, got her arrested for the murder of Estella, and took everything the woman owned, including Hell Hall and the dogs. Pro of Nuclear Revenge?

I'm not sure I liked the ending, I know Cruella is a villain but she also has some of her father in her which I guess was the compassion she showed with her friends. Also, not sure I liked that she said her adoptive mother shamed her into denying who she is. That woman raised her and ended up dying for her, just saying, those actions should not be lost. Anyway, we know she ends up being a villain so I guess the ending was to set us up for what's to come.
Deep down she really did love her adoptive mother and wished she knew her real father but in the end she did get her revenge for them
She knows who raised her. She was trying to trick the barrones. She didn't regret being raised by the maid. She wanted revenge for wanting her dead after her birth. Spoiler alert : If Cruella would have stayed in the car when hers adoptive mother told her as a child, the adoptive mother would have been shoved off the balcony by the Barrones anyway. The Barrones was not going to loan that 💰 to her.

While I did love the movie, films like this hardly ever win best picture. Would love to see some wins or nominations for Stone, Thompson and costume design though!

The only thing i dont like about this scene is the lighting. I have to tilt my phone to see it and when i was watching the movie i couldnt see it on the screen at all. The acting in this scene (as well as the whole movie) is phenomenal, but the lack of lighting makes this scene hard to focus on anything other than trying to see whats fully going on, first time watching it I didnt even know the Baroness pushed Estella off the ledge. 2nd time i knew because i rewinded it when she said she 'jumped' but couldn't make it out. 3rd time i looked for the scene on my phone.

Loved this movie! However i personally feel Anita was casted poorly. Everything else, brilliant!
She is a hard character to understand. In the movie she loves Cruella style and she doesn’t even hide it, she’s actually happy she got some competition. Here she is also very happy Cruella is her daughter and acknowledges her as her equal.
Throwing her is off, didn’t make sense for me. Probably a reason to end the movie and have Cruella received her fortune which now sets her up as the next lead.
It’s probably because she doesn’t want anyone to be her equal, which is why she pushed cruella off

She wanted someone to rise from the mock to be her carpet, like "finally a genious so i can step on them to show how awesome i am"
She never had the intent of having an equal, in fact this was probably her narcissistic worst nightmare
I feel a real narcissistic person would’ve then tell the entire world that the so talented fashion designer was her daughter HERS. So she could remain in control.

You know, if you don’t view this movie as a prequel to the OG 101 Dalmatians, it’s actually a pretty decent movie, all things considered.
