I miss when tutorials were more simple and real life like your first video. Most of us watching to learn do not care to see fancy backgrounds, professional lighting and the extra animated personalities. We just want to watch someone step by step and learn their technique to improve our application.

Let's get something straight I never said Jaclyn wasn't herself now or said she's changes. I obviously know as a grown woman that change brings a breakthrough and better person. I was just saying to not be so hard on herself then because I loved her personality( I still do) and zoomed in on the eyes videos. She just as beautiful then as she is now. ( I feel like people don't read and just want to say something negative so I needed to clarify myself. )
This is the most self critical/rude thing. Everyone else who did this video laughed at themselves and had tender moments of growing and learning and in this video literally everything she said was negative and tearing herself down. Just be grateful you’ve come as far as you have. Be grateful that because of this video, no matter the bumps and weird angles, got you on the road to where you are today.........

Paige Underwood yes! Even if you have certain things you’re not happy with, self acceptance is very important. No one should ever hate or criticize themselves or anyone else over physical features; after all, it’s not like we had anything to do with how we look. That’s why when people compliment others for their beauty it sort of mystifies me because it’s not like they did anything to accomplish that.....no more than anyone ever hoped or tried to be born with a face others find unappealing or that is considered “less attractive” by society’s standards. Compliments are an easy habit we utilize as a way to be nice to people or even to manipulate others but really, no one has any control over the appearance they’re born with. It’s a strange credit given that’s never earned.

I didn't like this video. It was very mean girl-ish. I don't know Jacklyn but this video makes me not want to get to know her. Seem like stuckup people you see in the movies from Hollywood. Maybe this was an off day for her or something. She seemed nicer and more humble in the video that she's reviewing. But I do have her palette and bought some for my daughters as well. I bought them before watching this video. She seems very superficial in this video. Plus I would want to see her wipe off mascara error because that happens and I would want to know how to correct it.
I know instead of just laughing at herself it was like she tore herself apart. If it was more funny and light hearted I wouldn’t of hated it so much .

I actually enjoy the bloopers. Also, the teaching method u use in the tutorials is what made me subscribe. I'm here to learn how to apply makeup. I hate it when most youtubers just edit things out to make their videos shorter. We've seen its effect in the "i followed a... Makeup tutorial trend". Even big beauty gurus were confused because a lot of steps were skipped over and edited out. We need the in depth tutorials back.

I watched your whole video. You are way too hard on yourself. You're speaking to yourself like it's somebody else that you can't stand. I think your lips looks great in both videos. You have lovely features, and your following of subscribers would proves that. You have no concerns with your "book cover". It's beautiful. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Younger girls looking at how you speak to yourself, could make little footsteps follow your lead. The world is tough enough being a girl. Don't need sisters beating up on themselves on camera too.

It’s hard to see you be so critical of the person we all fell in love with. You’re a queen now, but you were much more relatable when you had thin lips, an imperfect nose, and forehead wrinkles. Even the way you speak now makes me feel like you’re not a genuine individual anymore, like you’re putting on a show for us because you’re an actress and celebrity. Which is fine, you’re a different person now, but I do miss these days, don’t be so critical of what made you a major success!

This video honestly made me really sad. I really don’t even comment on videos but I feel like I should right now. You used to have this personality that was amazing and you were funny and could joke around and make people smile, and it’s like if you could be in the same room with who you used to be you would just scowl and turn your nose up at her. Your face was beautiful and you used to smile and laugh. It sucks that you’ve progressed in one way (money) and digressed in another. I used to look up to you. You used to be real. Now you just seem like a snooty mean girl. It breaks my heart.

every time I see these videos, I feel bad for anyone trying to start out. You and many other large youtubers began at a time when everything was new enough. If anyone had this as their "first video" now, they'd just get clicked away. The learning curve is clearly much much steeper now.

You started your channel to be an influencer, correct? Never forget the fact that even though you've evolved there are plenty of girls and women who are at the same emotional/mental/physical stage you were in your first video. Why knock her so hard? There's a huge difference between being able to see your growth vs tearing down. Such a negative video girl. Maybe its because I"m in my early 40s but I have found it EMPOWERING to see that even in my youth my confidence was there. YOUR confidence is apparent in the first video but you don't see it. Dial the self hater-aid back girl. You've come too far to be so critical of where you started.

The fact that everyone in these comments thinks she's so serious about roasting herself or think she's legitimately self hating herself is ridiculous... it just shows how overly sensitive this world really is.. if you can't laugh at yourself or roast yourself every now and again, you're not being true and genuine to yourself, and if you were a true Jaclyn supporter you'd know she's being SARCASTIC and funny.
