I used over dixie belle white silk paint. 1 very thin coat. The piece has a yellow tint in all the trim pieces. Any advice? Help please this was for a Christmas gift. 1st time user very disapointing
May I ask why you start in the middle when using Gator Hide? Just curious. I bought Gator Hide for the first time today and will be using t tomorrow. Thanks!
I always start top coat just off the end, because my brush or sponge is more loaded and I don't want it to pool and run off the edge. So I usually start 6 inches from the edge. Starting in the middle is good because the extra load that is left there can be taken to the other side on the second pass going the other direction. It makes spreading it more even. If you start on the end, there is more product on that end and you are running dry by the time you get to a long buffet like this.
stunning piece of furniture
Awesome tutorial
Thank you 😊 This video was so helpful! Beautiful work!
So great to see tips on clean up too!
Thank you so much for your information, it was very helpful for my project.
I liked how you put it on it made it easier to follow , what blue did you use for the bottom of the piece ? Thanks again
Thank you! I just applied gator hide today and I did not stir it. I’ll apply more tomorrow after I stir.
Thanks for the tip.
Thank you!!!
Hello, I am just learning of this product and was wondering if I can use this on a painted tile and tub as a sealant? Thanks in advance ☺
Thank you for the tips. I heard somewhere that cleaning up Gator Hide in your sink can clog up your pipes - do you know if this is true?
Thankyou
Can I use it on coasters for mugs?
Have you sprayed gator hide on a table top?

Is there a big difference in the finishes?

Susan Ostler Thanks! I love the Gator Hide, by the way.
What color paint is on that dresser? I'm going to use gator hide for first time tomorrow.
Why not just spray it?
You really wash that down your sink?
I think it’s a water based product not oil.
THIS STUFF STREAKS.... DO NOT USE ON DARK/BLACK FINISHES!!!!
