Finally!! I hate prep work and sometimes i want a smooth under layer, also sanding is messy!! And i cant do much in the winter🫤 i really want to try this and other diy beginner friendly products❤️

Kenzie Hansen; depending on your piece there still needs prep work/ sanding unless the wood is raw, the DB gel stain has to be applied over raw wood just like any other brand of stain and then top coated.

You don't have sand or strip before using the Gel Stain but you should always clean with White Lightning before applying any of our products.

I have an old secretary thats kind of a dark cherry color. Could I use that stain right over the existing color? Also, the back of the secretary is veneer. Same for that?

Hi, yes you can use that stain over the existing color if your going for a darker stain like Espresso, if you want to go for a lighter stain I would recommend sanding first! Happy Painting!
