      Very nice video. I think this is the best way to promote a vegan diet as lots of people are expecting incredible gains and become disheartened. Your message is that you can still gain and thrive on the vegan diet, in my opinion- is a more sustainable one👍

      Right on, it's like hey others are gonna do what they're gonna do especially if you tried to bring up what they should change for their own good and they don't wanna do it, all you can do without being that overbearing vegan person is to let them do what they'll do and you do you and hopefully they'll see your results and want what you have. If they complain you can just kick it back with something like "Aw that sucks, I feel great." lol

    I am going vegan. I hate that I inherited an animal diet & it was considered the norm but I can’t beat myself up about it - I love this video because it inspires me with how simple it is. I also love how you use Thorne supplements, something Dr Rhonda Patrick advocates & she’s ridiculously educated when it comes to biology. It has always bothered me, internally, that I’m part of the environmental, morality problem. I think I’ve driven myself to the edge hence looking at your video. I felt like I was starving myself of nutrients because I didn’t know what to look for but also avoided buying animal products. This may sound controversial but I think cannabis made me question myself. I smoked chronically at some point & used psilocybin for cessation & that alone gave me an overwhelming feeling, psychologically, to stop eating animal products. I also had a dream whereby I witnessed a cow’s death but I could feel it’s suffering. I cried when I woke up. This is youtube & I’m a bit cynical when it comes to being deep or an open person to randoms. However, that’s my brief story & thank you so much for doing this video - it took time and effort for the transformation alone. More power to you. If anyone reads this & has tips, let me know. Much love. Peace ❤️.

    I became vegan overnight, the night I understood (animal slavery + destruction of the planet + human health + misleading medical marketing).
    In a few months, I found my cruising rhythm with the ingredients, the menus that I like, etc.
    It takes a long time to develop deficiencies (and if you eat fresh and varied vegetables, even without being very informed, it's very unlikely), so don't panic: you can become 100% vegan by conviction and then learn, along the way.
    It's a lot of work to decondition yourself from all this food learning to poisoning. But we can stop making animals suffer right now. ✊🏼 #antispeciesism #amatterofjustice

    Loved it! One tip: just eat all the whole plant foods there are, and try to incorporate as many different plants as possible and at least all food groups on a daily basis, that is fruits, veggies, whole grains (oats, pasta, whole wheat bread, cooked grains etc.), pulses (beans, chickpeas, lentils, split peas), nuts & seeds, and herbs & spices. Can't go wrong with that

    • @l-schm
      @l-schm 4 роки тому +3

      @@MrSingh1150 right, as I wouldn't from animal products either, if the animals wouldn't be supplemented B12. In our current agricultural system, everything is sanetized, which is great because we don't get all kinds of infectious diseases from our foods (or should I say plants, as eating animals is the root cause of 70% of the pandemics we face), but we don't get B12 either, which is produced by bacteria which are washed away. So 3 options:
      1. kill and eat animals who have been given B12
      2. eat plants and take B12 extra
      3. grow your own food and make sure not to wash all the dirt away.
      As I don't want unnecessary interntional harm to be done to sentient beings and don't have a garden, I think I'll go with option n°2.

    • @MrSingh1150
      @MrSingh1150 4 роки тому

      @@l-schm then you can't kill bugs, you cant kill flies or mosquitos as they are trying to survive. I bet you killed so many innocent bugs in your lifetime.
      You're about to be debunked about b12. All the animals including us make b12 in small quantities some make more others do not. Humans do not make efficient enough of b12 hence why we have to consume animal products in order to meet our b12 needs. Before I go deep into this and unwash your brain cells from all this vegans garbage. Do you know what b12 is? What it does to our bodies? Do you understand that plants or seeds do not have b12 or if they do its in very small amounts?
      You see veganism is a plague and a religion that needs to be clensed so that people don't torture themselves and their kids and pets which I am highly against.
      The reason why people start feeling good after switching to veganism is because that they go into starvation mode and all the levels in their blood count drop as no source of meat in coming in to replenish b12. B12 is the major vitamin that contributes cellular energy transport production sorta like a factory that has 100 trucks ready for transport rather than just 50 trucks. That's what that vitamin do and their are other vitamins that help the body function better. All vitamins are just transport catalyst for cells to produce energy. I am not stating vitamins are a source for ATP production.
      Thats just a brief overview of b12 I can site sources if you want but spreading misinformation to humans that only plants and seeds and fruits are the best way to a better life while they starve on b12 inefficiency no man to me there should always be balance in between the too. Just like you can't over drink water you can't over eat meat or vegetables.

    No disrespect, but this is the "vegan" diet nobody can afford. Why so much package foods and powders? I have beans, a rice cooker w/50-50 rice and wheat, nuts and seeds, and hit the farmer's market once a week to stock up on whatever is fresh and in season. WFPB is the healthiest vegan choice that delivers all around results.

Any weight that isn't fat lowers the fat %, he could also just carry a lot of fat on his midsection and close to none on his legs, its all relative, its obvious that he made a MAJOR improvement regardless

      @@MaxsMonthlyChallenge good point Max
      did your values get reinforced when you decided on an identity change for this?
      Because honestly I tried Vegan for 3 weeks, liked some elements, but still wanted to explore more diets, then tried Keto and had even better results.
      Would you consider trying to adjust your values for the sake of a new metabolic profile that may improve your mental performance?
      your values may be more malleable than you expect

    • @MaxsMonthlyChallenge

      Elijah Hi there. Definitely not. Values can be changed with new information but not to suit my short term needs. If I’m against the unnecessary suffering of animals then I’d be acting out of integrity to be anything less then vegan - particularly if I can be healthy and thrive on that diet.

I'm glad you are continuing being vegan, I haven't watched the full video but if you don't know you should look up what happens to dairy cows and egg laying chickens and male chicks. Not trying to diss you, just a pointer.

    Thanks. Consider eliminating oil. This is a highly processed vegan diet because there are a lot of processed foods. A whole food plant based diet without oil and would be healthier. Too many processed foods and with nuts isn’t advisable.

    Previously I was very much against Veganism because of the preachy hippy types associated with it. I love cooking and eating tasty meats but having some experience with agri industry know how bad it can be. Game Changers was very biased but its no worse than many diet fad documentaries. Are you still doing it? I'm interested in what the anti inflammatory/performance benefits might be.
    The ethical vegan argument has always been solid IMHO and the reactive crap you see from 'macho' men is in hindsight pathetic. No human should take satisfaction in animal cruelty and the dairy/meat industries involve so much suffering of animals its undeniable. If you have ever raised animals yourself you just know the economies of scale factory farms must be truly atrocious.

    Eggs are bad for you. The studies are endless and conclusive. If you don’t believe that, consider this: let’s say the studies are 50/50 good vs bad on eggs... Compare that to say water. What ratio of studies suggest that water is not good for you? Do the same analysts for broccoli, or carrots, fruit, etc... In other words, if it’s too close to call, it’s a red flag. Take that egg lovers! Btw, the the egg industry itself funds a lot of the egg studies...
