So I see a lot of people asking me for the link for the radio but I am not sharing it. I personally had a bad experience wit the seller and do not wish to give them anymore business. If you guys want to get something similar for your cars go on eBay, search up your specific car and Carplay together. If you have the tech pack make sure to get the "high model" with some sellers.
I completely understand why you don't want to give the seller anymore business but do you know any other seller's you were looking into? Been searching for year's for an upgrade and wasted money and time on fake products. This is big for the cu2 tech owners, just wondering. Thanks for the time 💪🏽

Holy f*** bro this video is gold for all of us tech package owners, I was getting ready to do a full tear down and install and splice/amp bypass just to get CarPlay and a modern screen but this is definitely easier and all I need. 🙌🏼 thanks for the video, from me and the rest of the tech package owners

Hey mate, thanks for the awesome video tutorial! I use different car play and swapped out my media player, but now the sound quality is pretty bad. I saw in your video that you changed the display and used CarPlay with the aux feature. Could you please share your experience regarding the sound quality? My rdx is not a tech package
Only issue is you lose the nav the car comes with. I love using that if my phone dies.. Good in a pinch

@@chillitsjohn Yep, managed to get it mostly working. Still working out how to remove some of the Chinese apps, but Android auto works fine. Where you mentioned needing to also get an additional AUX > left and right cable was really handy. My seller didn't mention I needed it either. I would have just given up if it weren't for your video, so thank you again!
Im glad you got it to work!! I lost all hope when my seller didn’t mention it either. I got lucky that i had a cable laying around and tested it and now we are here.

Thanks for the walk through. I have no audio after installing everything together. I brought the auxiliary cable but still doesn’t work.
Also switch the aux cable around like you did but no luck. Also power off and on the radio button and the aux button still nothing.
Did you type in the code for your radio?

If your system reboots, how will you enter the nav code or radio code without the factory screen?
Type in the radio code and you’re good to go. It’s happened to me plenty of times

Does the factory radio have to work for this set up to work? My factory radio doesn’t come on. Climate controls still work tho.
The factory radio does have to work because it uses the aux output of the radio.
For Some odd reason , my wiring is good (, I’ve tested the power and ground wires, ) but the actual radio doesn’t come on. Any ideas? I swapped the factory head unit for another factory and still doesn’t come on but when I used the. Power and ground wiring to a aftermarket head unit it powered it.
Did you enter the code? These stock radios have codes that if not entered they will be rendered useless.
Hey so do you lose the factory navigation and the factory backup camera? Also it looks like the little sub display doesn't work anymore? Does this mean you can't see the current temp or climate control information or does it show on the new screen. I see the RCA connections so its using the aux input of the factory radio to stream audio.
So the way i did it i have an aftermarket backup camera. You do lose the navi screen completely but you can use the factory backup camera with extra wiring. The sub display only shows the climate controls and not your radio station. For the time it would be on the new screen. It does use the aux input of the stock radio.

Nice work. Can you confirm the year of your Acura? Also, is this Acura TSX with the Tech Package or Base model? Thr Tech Package has the Amp above the wheel well which makes it a lot more complicated. Can you weigh in?
So i have a 2010 tech package and it still works perfectly fine. Technically speaking all you’re doing is running the audio through aux. If you wanted control of how everything sounds with this specific radio you would need to do a full music setup.

Thanks for the support!! There should be one made for the base model. When you search it up on ebay make sure to not get the ones that say high model cause those are for the tech pack.
