It's time to fire up the 1950 Ford... will it run?? 🤞

- We are officially ready to fire up the 1950 Ford. The intake, distributor, valve covers, and carburetor were all changed so our fingers are crossed it fires up without any issues. If you remember, all the wires in the dash had to be disconnected in order to take the dash out to be painted... let's see how great is Nate? 🤞
**Before we fire it up we're going to apply the garnish moldings in the car just to get them out of the way until the interior is done and ready to be installed.

Nate is the real deal. Nothing stops him. His knowledge of vehicles is frigging amazing.
What about scams??
The project as with the others work as the entire team really gel well together and each team member knows their job expertly. Chad designs, Nate does all the mechanical work as well as being extremely inventive, Doug is a jack of all trades and always does a great job whereas Jolene ties everything and everyone together. Brilliant
That is one gorgeous car. Chad you are a legend. Hats off to Jolene, Nate, and Doug what a team.
Chad, thank you for bringing the 40 ford back in the shop for completion. This is one of my favorite builds along with the Plymouth pickup you made from a 4 door car. I had started shying away from your channel as I kept getting disappointed when you would stop a incomplete build just to start another. So glade you are taking the 50 ford to completion and can’t wait to see the 40 ford progress.
Cream color interior with brown piping would look fantastic
Omagosh that chocolate Ford looked so cute moving under its own power! Can't wait for the interior! I still think cream with a thin, red accent stripe would be the cat's pajamas. Delish. Good job, lady and gentlemen!!!!!!!!!
BLACK SEATS OR DARK BROWN
Black is not good for this car, cream will be nice, well I think...😊
Car is beautiful still don't like the head lights sticking out so far.
I think I agree. Bit like a Chamelion.
Lol. Nate didn't even flinch when the flames came out of the carb the first time.
timing off a bit most likely. intake valve slightly open when the spark came
🦀
Esse projeto..ficou muinto surprendente...nota..1000...parabens
Love everything about the car except what you did with the lights.
you dont like the snail eyes lol
looks like Nate is the top Dog at the shop.....Hope he startes his own you tube channel
He's definitely talented with a head full of Auto knowledge. He sometimes gets frustrated but hey don't we all..
That’s one awesome lead sled !!!! You guys knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait to see it driving with interior done. It needs some flame throwers out of the tailpipes
I have nothing but confidence in Nate the Great! ✌🍻
Still havening put an 1/8” washer spacer on the left hing side . It will very likely solve your hood problem .
Looks good apart from the headlights they look out of place and totally ruin what could of been a really nice car
Chad has an controversial taste, thats why he called Bad Chad
@WOWTODAZ bad Chad was a marketing gimmick for his show. It's got nothing to do with his inability to build a vehicle with a cohesive design
Need to shim the starter on the inside stater bolt start with a 3/8 spacer. The bendix is to tight it will eat the teeth on the flex plate
As you said Chad, doesn’t matter what engine goes in the 40. I would stick with the Chevy big block. For starters way cheaper and easier to get parts for and for second, you already have it. Easier to wire up to get rolling
Chad and Jolene, the 50 is looking good but that backseat you were gonna have to do something with that. You probably should section the package tray and move deceit back closer to the back window to give you more foot room and you may have to lower the bottom of the cushion, so you have more headroom
Chad, you could never be quiet for even a minute 😀😃👍
Dont go green,earth tones!
With the roof lowered your going to have to lower the seats ! It's a given. Thumbs-up Jolene ❤
They already lowered the front seat a previous video !!
Cream is the way to go with brown
I still think Chad should put some lake pipes on the 50. I just hope he's got some fuzzy dice to hang from the rear view mirror !!!!!!
I thought Nathan was a professional man.. He isn't.. he far exceeds that !! Master Craftsman. Hands down. It would be awesome for Nathan and I to build something.. We both have the mindset and knowledge to make something totally different..
It would be awesome for the two of us to build something. It has been a minute since I have seen that kind of talent. I am 55 and have been building for a minute. I have had a wrench in my hand since I was 5 years old. My Dad built some of the first hot rods and chop custom cars back in 1947. After ha came back from WW2. He was 49 when I was born. He taught me so much about metal work and the old ways. Torch and metal. Dealing with lead. Etc. After all of that, I have built over 800 custom cars. Seriously.
Sounds as good as it looks, what an awesome car. That needs to be slow cruising thru the drive-ins on Saturday Night. What a beast. Very nice. Thank you.
That old ford is beautiful..going to look great cruising down the hwy ..
Big block chevy would look great with the stacks ! Either set up would look good . Ford looks good , sounds good for first start .
Being a Gasser man I sure like what I am seeing Chad! When I did my 37 Chevy coupe I also cut the rear fenders. I had big tires too. I hope you add just a little more metal on your fenders though. If not I understand its your car, its looking great.
The caramel color of that center light in the front grill is a show stopper, nice, I like it, easy on the eyes with the brown body of the car. I hope the interior color choice(s) puts the whole car to the moon far as cool. A White & Dark chocolate interior would be sweet - over the top eye candy.
NATE IS BEST HE IS CALM , RELAX AMAZING GUY & SMART & HARD WORKING
Hey all! Chad's dreams coming true, happy all around! Cars look fantastic and will only improve in time! Have a positive day all! Fina girl!
The big old steering wheel does have a certain charm. But - maybe try a little one, with a cool retro 50s look. Would be easier to get in & out & see over & give more room in the driver seat - as well as looking more design cohesive.
Not at all..
I had a 10 inch wheel, in my 61 falcon. worked great..
that hot wheels build might be your best one yet chad that car is so many guys dream when we where kids and that follows u through life I'd love to bring that to a car show wow the response is goin to be epic
I think the interior would look really nice with a creamy white trimmed out in tan the 40 Ford is the sharpest car ever? I am excited about it. Thanks.
These 2 new guys on this channel are awesome…good humour-knowledgeable-very enjoyable to watch…definitely everyone is ambitious! Great content-Thank You
(What’s the other channels name you keep mentioning?)
Looks good im doing a 49 at same time and I see Chad's got same issue where the steering wheel not straight with the wheels I learned it's all in the gear box the shaft has a key way so is what it is lol
Knowing you chad and the team easy fox if it don't start be nice to see the interior and glass in and it going down the road
You all did a fantastic job. From the mods to the color. Looking so cool.
Ford looks great and the little 40 gasser looks like a head turner !!! Some paint and the right sounding motor it will really pop!!!
Good to see Nate smiling at his work😀😀
The plastic trimming looks great. The Ford is looking great. Nice job
A beautiful chop job and lovely custom RUINED by that Headlight and Tail light mess.
French them, don't extend them. YUK.
Baseball glove leather interior w cream headliner n charcoal carpet ... cream door panels ... crispy cream sponsor or hersheys!
I gave you shit a while back about the front and back lights, to be fair and honest that didn’t come out bad mate!!, respect for painting something!
There is a nice 351 all done up on marketplace. I think it’s somewhere around Ottawa.
It's beautiful to see the car moving on its own. 😎👍 Great work guys 🤎🤩
I don't know what you think but I think a dark colored interior would look good. Black or dark brown e.g. but also dark green or dark red... It would contrast a little with the lighter brown of the dashboard and bodywork, and make the interior chrome stand out better
Love that you're on to past projects, love the 50 Ford, like the " Hot Wheels " coupe. Chevy BB, fuelie or blown. Would love to see Jolene driving her Bughatti, I think 50 Ford interior should be car color and gold or cream stitching. That's my thoughts. Keep up the good work!!! Love the show
The Brown is beautiful and the red on the wheels looks good but think the interior should be red as well to tie it together, green would be a third color
Interior nice cream color of sort
The 40 is so cool the wheels and tyres are perfect love it ...Big block chevy, tunnel ram big cam allday long!!! its a hot rod .. chevy parts are cheaper and easier to attain that most others ...can't wait 😊
I hope Jolene continues to show the initial build. I watched it the first time, will be nice to see it again!
Hey Team Hiltz nice work everybody the Shoe Box is running! Nate will definitely have to throw the rebuild kit in the carb so that it runs smoothly! Chad the 40 Ford is going to be one bad to the bone car when you are done with making it into the Hot Wheels car it looks badass the way it is now! It would look really good in metal flake in my opinion. Doug I thought that you had put the seat bolts in the floor so the would not get lost, did you pull them back out when you painted the floor? Nate I will be excited to see the Terraplane fired up it must be getting close. The fun part will be getting the sheet metal put back on! Jolene excellent camera & video work as always, you do such a great job. It is just my opinion Jolene but, I can't picture that green for the interior especially with the dash and interior window moldings painted in the brown. What I can picture is a brown that matches the dash and tan striped interior I think it would look awesome especially in velour! Since I am voicing my opinion I also think you guys need to come up with a smaller steering wheel with the 8" roof chop!
My wife thinks you should have a cream or white for the interior
The car is absolutely beautiful, but it would have been difficult to get back together if it hadn't been for Nate, who can apparently do detail work that no one else can do.
The first time I saw this car after it was painted I thought it's "Root Beer". I'd call the car the "Root Beer Float Shoe Box". Maybe, white with red inserts for the seats. Just my 2cents..
A great summer cruiser!
A big block chevy cross ram? that could be a rare and expensive piece. the original hot rodders always swapped manufactures when it came to engines so chevy in a Ford is "period correct" :)
Chad,..that 50 Ford is so friggin cool!!..You had one heck of a vision on that one...The brown color grows on ya after awhile..Great color choice Jolene!...The car reminds me of the cars in the Dick Tracy comics, when I was a kid..Can't wait for the 40,to see what it will look like,done!...Great job Doug and Nathan, too!👍💯❤️
Those garnish moldings are BOSS 👍
Great hotrod ,the 50 looks great and sounds great even if isn't running perfect yet
The seat frames will need to be lowered atleast 3 inches? Just my thoughts. Being you chopped the top and leaned the back glass forward. The interior guy won’t have no issues I don’t believe. This is amazing work!
That is gonna be one sweet ride.👍👍
OMG! That paint job is BEAUTIFUL.
Looks like Jim might fixed that fender,!!! Glad to see you guys working hard have a great weekend,,,,,❤
Chad, You referred to the dash how you took out the tack in the round hole in the middle of the dash. I believe it was probably originally a clock that would make more sense; however, I could be wrong, but ask the Ford guys.
Don't forget to paint that steering wheel to match the dash. A tan or lighter brown or even ivory color interior would look great.
Nice to see it move under it's own power. 👍
Put a nice platform in the back instead of a seat. Cover it with the same stuff you will use on the floor in the front. That’s Fina’s space for rides.
Nathan can do it all. Important piece to the puzzle!!! Great team effort!! Awesome 😎
That whole car looks fantastic 👌
Great content... Interesting and fun to watch.
I’ve been watching you guys for awhile. I’m not a big car guy, I like to look (and wish) nice cars. Just wanted to let you know I find your show entertaining though a lot of stuff I am not at all familiar with.
The 40 Ford needs a Flathead w/Ardun heads & 3 dueces and some forced air or nitrous!!! Good luck find n it.. says a retired Master Goodwrench.... Built over 300 special vehicles in my day
I love the trim on the molding it give the car that 50s look
I actually really like the flexible moldings on the interior trim. Inexpensive bling that doesn’t look inexpensive.
Great work Chad, I try to watch every week. Don't change for anyone.
Buckskin tan interior would really look nice too! The car looks fantastic!!
That car looks nice. You did a great job.
Well glad to see the Hot Wheels back the 50 is ready I know you got a few things more are you going to put it back window in that 50 or you could make a set of louvers like window shades that fit the back glass kind of like the IROC Camaros had in there went back window and and you could put that flexible Chrome on them add a little bling to the rear window Roar just paint it the same color as the car just my opinion anything worth much it's yours and jolene's
Looking nice. Reminds me of the armed services during that time color wise. I can almost see a star on the side of her with some staff markings.
CHAD, JOLE, NATE, DOUGH GREAT JOB ON 50 FORD CHOCOLATE BROWNIE BEAUTY CLASSIC BUT NEED NEW SEAT COVER MKE IT BLACK OR DARK BROWN THAT MATCH THE CAR. THANKS FROM DEAF GUY.
Your shop is so nice and clean clutter free!
No Doubt About It! That Is One Awesome 50 Ford Ride!
Hey Team
Chad, that so called push bar you speak of might actually be for lifting the barrel or something along those lines just like a pair of pincers so each side will sometimes have like spikes or a flat bar or whatever it may have, so once in place the spikes/steel or whatever as soon as you start to lift the spikes/steel will start gripping and the higher you lift the greater the grip… I forget what they are called now ( bit of a memory block) but now I just said that the word cantilever just stormed my brain 🤯 they are great for picking up or dragging things, there’s even some out there that are used for pulling trees n stumps and lifting fence posts out of the ground and the list goes on …
The Ford is looking amazing and will be great to take it on its maiden voyage on the Tarmac it’s definitely going to Twist A Few Necks and Drop N Drag A Few Jaws including mine😂
Too Good Team …
“MASSIVE”
✌️😎👍
From Aotearoa…
New Zealand 🇳🇿
Think you should put some fender covers to protect the new paint when working on the engine!
Looks like a real sleeper!!!!!
Thanks for the great content. Bad Chad & Jolene.
And the boys 😎
Green would be nice .... but a tan or Distressed brown interior would look wicked .. but can't go wrong with the brown and green
Good team work ,joint effort for a cool custom car
That car is looking awesome, you all are doing a great job!
Jolene: Need to brighten up the interior with upholstery colour choice. That would be my call~~
That 40 BAD CHAD SWEET JOLENE see if that ole hemi you got with the Plymouth coupe can get running By Nate that would be the way if your were making a HOT WHEELS GASSER
You guys amaze me with your vast knowledge of mechanics and body work. Your end products look sensational. Love watching.
So nice to see that smooth looking '50 moving under its own power! Great job!!
I have to say, the headlights turned out ausome, way better than I thought they were going to
Aren't you supposed to install carpet and upholstery "before" final assembly?
it was not final assembly.. did you watch and listen? can you comprehend? 🤙
Brown car does look nice Chad..I'm not much into low riders but the car custom work look good lot better then a dam box car ..lol..I'm definitely looking forward to the hot wheels car I love what you did to it .that's bad ass .now and I hope you use the tires like you have on it...hot wheels car looks in great shape steel wise..nice..can't wait to see you work your magic to it on wards team..
I welded for years for steelcase inc so I can respect the metal work man .🎉❤
Forgot to mention Fina that makes the team complete
2 sweet cars, Fav. so far keep up the good work Chad
That faint blue light as you we’re working, looked good
Awesome work as always! Would definitely like to see that red 750 Honda up close on a video ! Keep up the good work !
Good joy folks. Love the show.
