Everything he does is damn good. There are real music gems on all his albums. Saw him live once however and he was very poor. Only for he is such a genius I wouldnt have forgiven him
I totally agree. I didn't like it that much at first, but then I thought, "Wow for not liking it, I sure listen to it a lot". It's a definite grower - it's great.
wish this had been the one actually on the show. I like Fix It but I much prefer this one. Although, Ryan so rarely disappoints anytime. Glad he seems to be a favorite of Dave's.
Neal Casal has such a pure voice. These guys together , it doesn't get much better. Ryan's amp is a little silly . . . but those shoes rule. They was made for peddlin'.
This is actually the first time a new album has come out since I've been a fan, and it's hard to adjust from old to new when you are hardly aquainted with Easy Tiger and such to begin with.
regarding the genius switch, I beg to differ. see phil specter, francis crick and many others. but ryan's switch continues to be in the on position. and his t-shirts are awesome too.
At least Jeff Tweedy could go sober and still entertain us. Ryan will be back...it just seems like some chick told him to be "good" for a while. YO RYAN - THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE REALLY F'N FUN! The Andy Kaufman of Rock-n-Roll has turned into Ned Flanders. Rock on Ned.
yeah, but cobwebs are not just spiderwebs -- they are old, discarded ones which are dirty and cluttering. so, i think perhaps ryan is making an analogy to worthless, unrequited love. brilliant song. great, moody lyrics
I kind of take it to mean will you confuse love with something worthless or which seems to have no meaning, that can be easily discarded. Personal opinion.
This music really has to grow on me before it's meaningful. I can't believe that I said that just a day ago. And I'm not even just trying to be a bitch for everyone else. Listening to exactly the same song 24 hours later is entirely different.
no way. Heartbreaker and Whiskeytown were inspired by Dylan. This is Adams trying to venture into a more popular genre of music which he sucks at. I don't hate Ryan Adams, I just wish that he would go back.
I was there for this performance, right in the front row! You couldn't imagine how huge the sound was...absolutely blew my mind!
OOh you lucky man!!!
I always felt that the live versions of songs from "Cardniology" were much better than the studio versions
Psyched that Adams is back but its bittersweet with Casal gone.
And Space Wolf
Ryan Adams can write the songs that I am thinking in my head and feeling in my heart without ever meeting him in person
He didn’t write them, neither did you…I did…?
It’s a place of relativity, not actually the words that YOU think of..?
Thank goodness, Ryan says…?
Never sick of this performance
This guy just tugs on my emotional heart strings like no other..Just an incredible genius
I can't put into words how much I love this band and Ryan Adams ... @#$% amazing.
MFC we're a great band!
I miss Neal Casal so much
RIP. Neal Casal
Great Fucking Band!
MFC
wow, that was genius! best version ive ever heard!
i cant wait for saturday when ryan and the cardinals come to ireland! love u guys
just love the amp sound...
there IS no off position on the genius switch-love it man, you rock, even thouh you may have quit the cardinals, fuck it
wow, thats a great version..wall of sound!
Excellent... One of my fav ever
well easy tiger was only a year ago. I've been listening for at least four years. But heartbreaker got me started so thats nice.
Everything he does is damn good. There are real music gems on all his albums. Saw him live once however and he was very poor. Only for he is such a genius I wouldnt have forgiven him
You’re talking about when he’s controlling his substance or not
He's been sober for over a year now and better than ever!
I totally agree. I didn't like it that much at first, but then I thought, "Wow for not liking it, I sure listen to it a lot". It's a definite grower - it's great.
Incredible!
thats how I took it too, like will you confuse my love for you, for something pointless.
wish this had been the one actually on the show.
I like Fix It but I much prefer this one.
Although, Ryan so rarely disappoints anytime.
Glad he seems to be a favorite of Dave's.
fucking amazing, a class apart.....
GREAT GREAT GREAT RYAN IS THE BEST!!
Man I miss Neil so much
I do love his old stuff heartbreaker is one of the best albums of all time. This stuff is really good though.
One of my favourite tracks of Cardinology. Really well performed.
I hope they tour back to NZ again, I'd love to hear some of these tracks live.
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn
Neal Casal has such a pure voice. These guys together , it doesn't get much better. Ryan's amp is a little silly . . . but those shoes rule. They was made for peddlin'.
ryan is amazing!!!
YESSS!
Awesome !
that amp rules. i want one. put it in my shed...maybe
This is actually the first time a new album has come out since I've been a fan, and it's hard to adjust from old to new when you are hardly aquainted with Easy Tiger and such to begin with.
@wrongemboyo79
It's actually a big case that fits four smaller amps. Look at the knobs on it. They're just pictures. Franz Ferdinand uses it too.
Does it come better than this?
regarding the genius switch, I beg to differ. see phil specter, francis crick and many others. but ryan's switch continues to be in the on position. and his t-shirts are awesome too.
Rya Adams is th esong writing genius.. Trey Anastasio is the musical genius !
Fucking Wow!
Neal Casal=brilliant.
I would reckon so
Not a snare in the entire song!! How cool is that?!
@dph5150-how wonderful-good for you!!!! Sooo jealous....
I didn't know Andy Dick plays keyboards. Great song!
look at that big ass amp!
This is my favourite track. Its so fab and Neal is so hot here! lol
@1bmarsh if he's here then how did the generation lack him?
@1bmarsh

Conor Oberst and M. Ward in my opinion, Conor especially I mean he's really just finding his sound now
At least Jeff Tweedy could go sober and still entertain us.
That's not really an amp, It's just a big box that's covering up his other amps. I believe there are 4 amps stacked up in there.
what does he mean with cobwebs? im dutch so cobwebs are to me spider-webs
yeah, but cobwebs are not just spiderwebs -- they are old, discarded ones which are dirty and cluttering. so, i think perhaps ryan is making an analogy to worthless, unrequited love. brilliant song. great, moody lyrics
true word he wont match heartbreaker again, but he can get close.
I kind of take it to mean will you confuse love with something worthless or which seems to have no meaning, that can be easily discarded. Personal opinion.
Me I didn't its great. But Heartbreaker is one of the best of all time to me so.
Haha. what is that supposed to mean?
This music really has to grow on me before it's meaningful. I can't believe that I said that just a day ago. And I'm not even just trying to be a bitch for everyone else. Listening to exactly the same song 24 hours later is entirely different.
song only good live and in person
It's not, I was wrong, end of story. It should be though. . .
you know things are going wrong when your getting pissed at the people who love the same artist as you.
no way. Heartbreaker and Whiskeytown were inspired by Dylan. This is Adams trying to venture into a more popular genre of music which he sucks at. I don't hate Ryan Adams, I just wish that he would go back.
holy shit, Ryan looks a lot like Rivers Cuomo
It's just four Princeton's in one big, fake Princeton.
Rivers cuomo?....pfffft
really am not a fan of the new album .. yuck
Lol your funny david letterman! NOT
Yawn
