One of my top 5 VH tunes of all time.... Love when they get almost into head banging.... Great Guitar in this, great drums, great bass, great vocals...
Have seen them a half a dozen times since their first tour in 78. But I’ve never seen another guitarist exude so much joy while playing. His energy was, and will always remain infectious with this 60 plus year old analog kid. A truly unique pro. Legend RIP EVH
I can only say one thing, the middle and ending solo. I’ve never heard another human being make those sounds come out of a guitar. Actually, he wasn’t a human being. He definitely was from another planet. He was just visiting here making us happy.
King Edward, most have no comprehension of how much talent went with this man, literally a Mozart/Einstein mind. Perfected the heavy chug, without doing the drop D metal core stuff. Even though he did use drop D? Sinners Swing??? ❤❤❤❤ Ledgend....
Sorcery at work here folks...seriously!! How else does one explain EVH's OTHERWORLDY TALENT!!?? R.I.P. Mr. Edward Van Halen, you were taken way too early. You also shall NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. In a couple hundred years or so,you will be spoken of in the same breath as Mozart,Bach and Bethoven!! Lord knows you have more than EARNED that right!
maybe that should give you the hot tip that is isnt a live recording? or let your fandom not believe it. Here is how live audio sounds for the non YT generation ua-cam.com/video/SaPDrZaX9ww/v-deo.html
When a Hard Rock band go's FULL ON HEAVY METAL! Van Halen always had a light side, but all the way to the last album they were a straight up Heavy Metal band!
Amazing how good Michael and Sammy sound live perfect pitch and key. No shreaking or drugged out bullshit. If Im correct this was Eddie’s soberest time. IMO the best they ever sounded live. Period. Sure the OG stuff is classic but this sounds just as good if not better than the album. My God. RIp
that's how a live band should sound... i like the "van hagar" era. while the roth stuff was good too, roth lacked a musicianship that sammy has and sammy brought a maturity to the band that dave lacked.
@@chriszaa2309 you honestly think Roth could do this tune live. ROFLMAO, he would be gasping for air 30 seconds in. Shit he can't even sing his own stuff and Hagar is over 70 and still kicking ass
While Hager’s voice has held up better than Dave’s, he ain’t singing like THIS at 70. Besides, the vocals and music on this performance were re-recorded in the studio.
Awesome! In my oppinion, the best fase and album of the band! The best guitar tone due to the legendary Peavey amp! And Samy all the way! Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘
Being a guitarist myself, I know what EVH was to me. Everyone else here knows what he meant to them. You can throw out all the superlatives you want about The Master, but there is never going to be an argument about his mastery of his chosen art. No else had players around the planet going "What the F is that". From his grin to his fingers Eddie was born to bring us joy through his music, and you can thank whatever god you believe in that he shared his joy with us. ALWAYS # 1. UNPARALLELED.
This is live ladies and gentlemen! These were times in rock and pop history where a band performed as a band. Often better than on the album. Honest, raw, skilled musicianship. A set of amazing hard working, talented musicians on stage that EARN to be there because of skills and not because of skilled producers and fancy software. The biggest thing I regret being born in 1978 is that I didn’t go to enough live concerts. Too bad!
Saw every tour with Sammy , always though we'd eventually get a reunion tour. Still can't believe Eddie's gone. Rest in peace and thanks for the great music and memories to go with it.
@@Hazardteam they’re amazing guitars. I was told the trans gold one I have was the last one made in that finish. I have a trans purple BFR with nitro finish too. The ultimate rock guitar.

I went to all of the Sammy shows. But honestly, try listening to just the intro - 0:01 Solo section - 2:48 , and outro - 4:00 (It's mostly Mike singing at 4:00). Kind of what I do anyways and captures 95% of the magic for me
Very underrated song by van halen great guitars plus wicked lead and backing vocals these guys are definitely on track in this song the whole album was great

If I may suggest, check out _this part_ in the full concert version, which I uploaded later. The sound has been improved, and it sounds _much_ better

Damn they rocked. & Michael Anthony is the most underrated backup vocalist in rock and roll, ever
So true! 😀

Michael Anthony is thumping the hell outta that bass! Such a badass rhythm!
And bass player
It s shameful how he was fired by VH via internet .....2006 circa

Named after the drummer
For this song's drumwork
4:02 I have always loved these vocal harmonies here. Michael's vocals have always been impressive, but damn.
Just a great song. Probably one of if not the best song with Sammy imo
Saw this show in Rome. Rocked solid with all the American servicemen, all of us having a laugh and freaking out. Cracking rock song this.
April 1 1993,surely.....
The accuracy of this compared to studio is amazing, its dead nuts on, van halen at its finest!

The 90s grunge alt music trend had no adverse effect on vh. In fact they embraced it by taking Alice In Chains out on tour with them
Ohhh, one of the best songs of Halen.
