Thanks Deborah, I think they did lead interesting lives. I moved to the Hermitage when I was 17 and was married at 19 so didn't live there long. Moved nearby and was always visiting mum and staying over with the children. It was a great family home. I'll tell you about the house I grew up in next time. xx

Thanks Anita, Lois looked lovely in the jumper. She came today for it and says she's never going to take it off! I don't think the colour is very practical for a mum with baby and putting makeup on but she says she is going to get a bib! Like you it's a joy to see others happy with our makes. xx

Oh yes, been back often as my friends live in the area. We are going next week. Mum and dad bought it for £17,000 and now it is being rented out for £17,000 per week! Its another world now! It's nice to think that dad had a part in rescuing the house and I'm sure he didn't have an idea of its later value. Tommy looks gorgeous in the jumper. They have discontinued the wool and it is so soft and easy to wash. I'm popping to my local wool shop tomorrow to buy up what she has left. Spring must be round the corner I agree!! Take care. xx

Even though the memories that you share are ones that are personal to you, you always make them very interesting! Whenever I’m having trouble sleeping, I can almost hear my Dad, who used to tell me, when I was a child, that it didn’t matter if I wasn’t asleep as long as I was resting and that is always a soothing thought. Nope, the weather hasn't improved. Since doing the episode it hasn't stopped raining and is so windy. One day the sun will have to come out, it is forecast Tuesday to be a fine day, lets hope! It was so funny that I just couldn't find a place with decent light! My aunt who is losing her sight watched and thought it had gone even more! Hopefully next time will be better. I too went grey very young as did Pete and my two girls. I never minded though embracing it as your nan did. xx

It took some time for all of us to begin feeling ourselves this year, so no wonder you were struggling with your mother's passing on top. The glass bowls are beautiful and nothing I have seen in U.S. antique shops. I latched onto water goblets that my mother purchased with money she earned while waiting for dad to return for WWII, and I love them and use them regularly for company. She said they were inexpensive, but they are really unusual now so look quite special. Tommy is adorable in his sweater, and so mature for his very young age.
Finished clearing the house this week and another two glass bowls came back with me. Lovely to use things that they used themselves for so long. Goblets must be so special for you. Tommy is so mature and speaking quite a lot now. I asked my daughter if she would like a cup of tea when visiting and Tommy replied 'got juice!'

Lois is over the moon with her woolly saying I'm never taking it off nan. I was so pleased to finish it for her. She has been through the wars this year what with one thing and another and it was lovely to be able to give it to her now the better weather is here. x
