All the videos are great. Thank you!!! Wish I had seen your video four hours ago. I invested in the round bales and did a VERY large field and now I'm stuck transporting more than 100 round bales, 8 at a time. Square bales are the way to go for sure. Easier to stack. Forking is easier than pinching.
Jeremiah Puckett Haha yes! Situations like that are exactly why I began creating these videos. I'm glad they've been helpful for you! Good luck with your round bales. Maybe use them with the bale wrapper and make silage from them?
I still play this game. Also 17, 19 and 22 but this one is special to me because it was my first simulator

One thing I wanted to point out, you mentioned that there is no real other use for hay except as feed in a mixing wagon. I wanted to point out that if you use a bale wrapper, you can turn hay bales into silage and sell it for a lot more money
So I mowed my grass and when I run my Tedder over it doesn’t turn from grass to hay what am I doing wrong?

Just have to cultivate over them.
Alot of great tutorials they helped me alot thanks for making them I subbed so I can always just go right back to them.
I don't always mow my lawn , but when I do , I do it in a Lamborghini ! :P made me laugh to see we both using the Lambo for that.

My hay and straw disappear after a few minutes and after every time i save the game. Is there any way to make that not happen. I am playing a ps4

the freight yard gives i good extra chunk of money when send the train off im woundering if it is best to sell my harvest there or would it be wise to sell to another company when there is a high demand ?
when there isn't a demand sell it at the train yard... although I would recommend that you wait for a great demand.. it approx doubles your money

New to the game. I can't bail the green grass with the round bailer, it does not pick it up. How do a bail the green grass?
You have to cut it and use the tool to turn it to hay first.
my game is bugged I've done all the steps but the dried grass makes grass bales and I know how to make hay I've done it before

You'll have to go into your settings and check the controller layout. I can't tell you because I play on PC.
hi m8 just wanted to ask i got the harvester case hi 7130 and it dont seem to do the straw seems to cut it up all the time is there no way to change it i playing on xbox one any help be happy with as it dont come up on the setting cheers
Make sure you "Enable Straw Swath" (look at your top-left box for which buttons to press to do this)

You don't feed the cows straw it's used as bedding and to make manure you can feed them hay though or plain grass or a mixture of hay straw and silage but I don't think you can feed them just straw directly

Question... I want to store my straw, not sell it or turn it into bails. Is there a place or silo to just dump raw straw?
Unfortunately no, you'll have just to just keep it in a loading wagon until you need it.

cputampa yeah, you would think with the plethora of über complex systems that they put into this crazy-realistic sim, they could have easily added a few more lines of code for a storage option! 😕 Excellent point, my friend 👍
How do u drop straw farming simulator 2014 ps3
I just started playing today, I just watched your videos, however I'm in the U.S. farm (I can't tell,what one you're in) and I can't find where to give straw to my cows, it always says "you can't place straw here" . HELP!
+Michael Bizzarro Should be a little round bale icon on your pda map. It's by your chickens.

I am in Westbridge. I cannot find anywhere to get rid of the straw
Gotcha! I played that map a lot in FS13. It's the building right across from the chicken pen and next to the silo area. There's a little opening with straw/hay piles on the ground. Just drive it in similar to how it's done in this video. Good luck and let me know if that works!

How do you tell what crops you have planted in a field? I planted random plants and have forgotten whats what.... :D
Go to your PDA and they'll have a map which shows which crops are in which fields.

I just started playing this game and I love it....your channel is very helpfull, but I need some help: I'm using the Sampo Rosenlew (comia C6) harverster (the one you get when starting the game. The first time I harvested my weed it dropped straw out of the back, which I used for my cows.
But the second time I harvested my weed it did NOT drop the straw...
Now I didn't change anything...so where can I enable that straw swath??
I'm playing on Xbox1

+B.S. Hokke I had the exact same problem except I'm playing on PS4. I could not figure out why I didn't have the 'create straw swath' option when I pressed L1 or R1 but I've just found out you have to press L1 & R1 together to bring up the option to turn it on.

I seeded my lot to grow grass, now how to I go back to growing wheat in that same lot?
Unfortunately you have to use your plow and re-plow it. It will be a huge pain to get it aesthetically pleasing. You might just want to buy a new field.

I don’t think it does I think it just grows by it’s self you just have to wait

At the red barn with closed doors which has hay laying on the ground, in front of it's doors. Perpendicular to the back of your house.
Hey Moose. Great Vid. One question. When I'm done harvesting the wheat etc., can I just go ahead and pick up the straw? Do I have to windrow or teder it first? Maybe dumb question but just curious. Basically wanna know if the straw is there can I immediately pick it up or do I need to row it etc. Thanks man. Dennis

Dennis Mann Glad I could help! You can also sell the straw straight away on your farm. I don't do a great job explaining it in this video but you can see it happening in my latest to Let's Plays. Good luck and happy farming!!
Moose2006LP Yeah I found it in one of your other videos. I can't afford yet to do much so watching your "selling straw" vid really helped. I think you got $3500 per load so heck yeah, I"ll just be straight selling it for awhile to make money. Your vids are great, don't you dare believe otherwise! lol. How do I make it so I can grow grass in a field?
Just change to the grass seed in your sower and plant like usual. It will PERMANENTLY change it to grass though. The only way to revert back to a field is with a plow.

You don't! Just collect their eggs.

Wherever you want, in an open barn, either sell it or feed your cattle
so does manure produce on its own
+Ethan Jones You need to have cows and feed them. I think if you use mixed ration it produces faster.

I've never tried. Tedding is supposedly turning the grass over to dry it into hay so simulation-wise it doesn't compute with me to row it first.
Moose2006LP if you could row it first then you wouldn't have to pass over it as many times when you ted it...
Noah Herron I understand that. I'm saying that for MY play-style it makes more sense to me to ted it first even if it takes longer. The beauty of simulations is that we can all simulate how we prefer. :) Let me know if it works though!
