This build is more important than a lot of people know. When people do these builds, they are paving the way for us in the future with these 10th and 11th gen Si’s. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
Same, I have been looking at rebuilding a used L15 but would like a little more power and still be reliable. I have been thinking about this swap since I bought the car in 2018, just a matter of time now
hey, just fyi...Andy Cline has a set of cams from skunk 2. it's for the k20c4. it's a pre-production set and he's yet to pop them in the motor and use them! So...we're all just waiting...
You’re the man bro. I wish i knew how to tear down a engine and fully swap something like this. Seems like alot. But you definitely give some inspiration
What a marvelous build! I plan on trading in my 10th gen civic sport sedan for an SI in a couple years and this series has inspired me to get into modding! Might even do the same swap in the future, keep up the good work!
@@gavindanitz already a step ahead lol, watched it yesterday. Love the channel and really appreciate the brutal honesty while keeping stuff lighthearted!
So happy to see this especially from a development standpoint. I want this for my car someday but from a reliability standpoint over a power standpoint. As u said I wanna be able to beat on this car without worrying
+1 for Drob, he tuned my Si as well. L15 with 27won W2 Turbo and vp racing speed sauce. Car runs great! Awesome guy to work with. I already had plans to kswap if I blow the L15. I've been following your build for some time on and off, so definitely something I'll be looking into for the future of my car. Well done to everyone involved.
i really doubt your engine is gonna blow, at most probly bend a rod. thats their weak point. someone built a L15 hatchback to 420hp on stock block. he bent 2 rods when he was at 360hp from driving the car really hard.
Nice build bro! 384whp is plenty for a light car. I agree Drob is the best tuner for this platform, I will be tuning my car this coming week with him hopefully everything goes as planned.
I like the idea, from outside it looks like another riced out shitty civic with a big wing, but inside it has almost 400whp and lots of torque... great build!
This is unrelated but maybe you might be able to help, I have a 2020 civic Si and all the warning lights popped up. Iv been back to the dealer 3 times and they keep returning...HELP!
I know its maybe a little late now since you finished your build, but, the ecu for the 11th gen Si can control VTEC. So, could someone in theory, use the 11th gen si ECU to actuate VTEC on K20?
People get too caught up with the numbers. Different dynos will read different hp. Some tuners will tend to fudge numbers when customers come in the with expectation of reaching a certain goal. Every car also has slightly different variances. There’s a million factors as to why one car might read 15 hp more or less, even with the same mods. I know Derek creates tunes which make good power at sustainable limit for the car.
Just tuned my Si with a Phearable tune and for 2020 civics they specifically mention not to turn off Rev hang because it causes intermittent throttle issues. Not sure if this is applicable here or not
L15 only blow up around 500 hp on stock block from what's been seen. 350+ hp you'll start bend rods if your running too hot. i have a 290hp L15 CVT and I've been doing completely fine, i just do my maintenance like normal. ppl say cvt is shit for power but i disagree. sure is bad for 350+ but why would you even want to go any further than that on a L15. your better off getting a type r. like i said going past 350hp youll start braking stuff.

All that hard work paid off man! The 2.0t sounds way better than the L15! Makes me want to k swap my FK7 😂.
Awesome build, but man these new K Series/L series sound like vacuum cleaners. Nothing like the K20/K24s of old.
Same, I have been looking at rebuilding a used L15 but would like a little more power and still be reliable. I have been thinking about this swap since I bought the car in 2018, just a matter of time now
also a full breakdown of what you need to compete this swap on the 10thgen si would be much appreciated!

The Si is a great upgrade! I made a video recently on whether the si is worth modding which you may want to watch.

Where were you getting the e85. I don’t know too many local stations that have it. The steering wheel is nice too.

Hey what’s up bro , where can I get the swap done at?

You got a short shifter or nah
Try to retune with MT Tuned (Manolito). I think you hit 400 like mine accord on CTR turbo
