I've always wondered how you decide how many loops are in each coil, how the coils are arranged, and how all the wires are connected once the coils are installed. I think it would be a fascinating video. Thank you for all you do.
I've done motor refurbishment and re-winds back in the day and I have to say, watching Lin do motors is like a work of art to me. We have electric powered winding machines, cranes to pull windings out and disassemble motors, burn out ovens, torches and brazing rods, and even bearing heaters to do what she does with none of those types of equipment. That's why I, for one, appreciate her work and view them as works of art. Keep up the good work and keep these videos coming!! I'll always be a fan!!

Wow. When I was a kid in the early 1960s my dad was an electrician in the USA. We would take motors to a motor and generator rewind business. I loved watching the people rewind the motors. I doubt that this is done anymore The user would just buy a new motor or generator. This young woman is super intelligent and knows how to get that knowledge to her hands.

Lin Are you aware that that copper wire is worth money? If there is a place where you can bring that wire to and sell it for money you will be able to buy the proper tools that you need to do these repairs correctly. Copper is very expensive now. Do you relize that you have money in your hands right now with that copper wire? If you are able to sell that wire for money then sell it and use that money to buy the tools that you need to do these repairs correctly and then start setting up shop, build you a shop where you can do these. Repairs correctly and charge a fee for this work that you are doing. This kind of work demands compensation! You need to tell the customers that you will be charging them x amount of money to repair their motors. Or have them give you something for your time and labor like clothes or food or animals or money as compensation for this work. With that money you will be able to do even more and help more people in your village. And I predict that if you do this in less then 90 days you will be the richest person in your village !

I love to see a great heavy old motor get re wound instead of throwing it out to replace with a Baldor motor. These old motors would cost $700.00 to get re wound, and I get in trouble sending one out to get re wound at that price and never want to hear them call back and say buy a Baldon without any grease fittings at 1/4 of the size that is supposed to be the equivilent.
How do you lift these heavy motors? You will hurt yourself if you don't get an electric lift to help you raise these heavy motors on the bench. Protect your back from these heavy motors by getting an electric lift to help you lift these heavy motors onto the bench. Always protect your health first and you will live longer and healthier into old age.
