- Thanks for watching. The tuning is standard down in C for anyone giving this one a go. It's not that hard of a song to play and gets you used to arpeggios and dragging your pick around. These guys were the masters of creating riffs out of arpeggio shapes, gives it a real easy listening melodic sound. Bjorn and Jesper do a lesson on the solo which I used to play it.
As always, recorded through garageband using Amplitube Custom Shop and Roland FA-66 interface. Edited in Premiere CS6. Anyone wanting presets or questions answered feel free to email me Lambchopper678@me.com

I never stop playing, these later songs haven't taken much time to learn. If I were doing more Dream Theater or Megadeth then you'd be thinking I was slacking off. I enjoy these later songs, they're more relaxed and fun to play.

Great cover, great old school jam. Especially love the dual harmonies of In Flames. Funny in your playing, you nail the lead part and it all seems intuitive, and there are a few rhythm parts that the timing is off.

i have never tuned down to C and i always try to play In Flames song in standard Eadgbe....a pain in the ass.....
then get 10s or 11s and downtune
Philip James Aragon i have a cheap 15 years old Squier Fender...i dont think it would be good for the neck to have that much tension...plus i mostly play on standard tuning so i better buy a second guitar.
the lower tuning would compensate for the thicker strings. the tension woulld be fine
If anyone can help, I understand how to record directly into Garageband, but how did you add video of you playing and have it sync up with the sound? I can think of a few roundabout ways but I feel like I'm missing the easiest method.

The EMG's sound pretty cool and I'm not really fussed with Duncan's in this guitar. I like the sound of the 81-85 combo, as long as you're playing metal.

I looked it up but couldn't get what part you couldn't work out. Nothing seems to stand out thats too tricky or difficult, there's a little hammer on - pull off but that's about it. You sure it's at 51 secs?

It's awkward a little as it goes into a bit of a harmony so neither guitar is going to sound right on it's own.

What about more Dream Theater? You definitely have enough skills to do these songs. And there's not much good DT covers around.
I'd love to, they're very consuming though. Every one of those songs takes hours to learn, you can't get one note out of place or it sounds terrible. John's the technique master. I feel like a noob trying to play some of that.
