Fun Fact: the keyboard player (Greg Rollie) who is singing was the original keyboardist for Journey. If I'm not wrong, Neal Schon, the guitarist of Journey was also performing on this. If not, he was also a member of Santana's band for a time.
As I mentioned in chat, this is a cover of a 1968 Fleetwood Mac song, written by Peter green. Long before Stevie Knicks and Lindsay Buckingham lineup that most know. But Santana and his guitar is the version every body thinks of 1st. If you haven't heard it, Santana did a song called "Smooth" with Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas on vocals.
That was the song I mentioned in the video that I grew up on. It's such a catchy tune. I remember when it was released (faintly) surprisingly 😊 thank you for the info as always my friend 😀
Santana III - start with the first track "Batuka" (it'll suck you in) and just continue until you finish the album. You can thank me later. FYI...this was the first album where Greg Rollie (the keyboard player and vocalist you just watched) and Neil Schon (another guitar player - sometimes lead) joined Santana. They left a few albums later and formed Journey. Although talented, I'm not a fan of Journey's music - but as part of Santana, they helped make some amazing music.
Very cool. Excellent song choice. I find it interesting that you posted this on UA-cam on the same day that you posted a Mahavishnu Orchestra tune reaction. I mentioned on that other video that guitarist John McLaughlin founded Mahavishnu, if you were to do a search for Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, you'd find your way to a very interesting album of tunes that they did together, and included other Mahavishnu members, as well. Santana and McLaughlin have been friends, and have done quite a lot of live shows together, over the years.
i want you to notice two things, one, carlos is in the back, its not all about me, its about the music......two, they were not even set up yet, still making adjustments, and notice carlos changes the tone on the knob with each note...............
It was a cool show.
You need to react to Santana's "Soul Sacrifice" live at Woodstock 1969. They were all high as kits.
Hahaha awesome I will definitely check it out thank you.
@@L33Reactssecond to that 👍

You are correct. And Rollie just recently rejoined Journey (Yay)
Fleetwood Mac
Thanks for doing my request!

The original version by Fleetwood Mac is really fabulous. Peter Green was such a fantastic guitar player!
That was the very first song that we tried to recreate with our teenage band back than. (after that came “April” by Deep Purple). Sweet memories ;-)
That singer is Greg Rolie, he later formed journey.
Black magic woman Fleetwood Mac
I was lucky enough to see Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin on their Love Supreme Tour.. I think it was 72 or 73…

Dynamically Expressed, Sonic Guitar Precision Linked to a Latin/Caribbean Progressive sound, and Tempo. Such a unique sound, and feel.
