Brilliant, needed to remove the seat as my daughter dropped some apple slices and they went under the seat (3 slices) don’t like food rotting in my car. So many more cables on my 2022 PHEV.
Also helpful for 2022 Yaris Hybrid. Have to unclip the 3 rear seatbelt sensors and the middle seatbelt, all done with gentle application of flathead screwdriver in the "obvious" places. Doesnt need a particularly hard long pull, rather a sharp pull or three.
Any idea if there is an empty space under the bench for a non-hybrid? Would like to use the space there as storage (if there is any) Also, great vid. Stright to the point!!!
Thank you! No, there is not much space in the non-hybrid: Toyota RAV4 (2019-2024): How To Remove Back Seats (Bench And Seatbacks)? - ua-cam.com/video/PlM9UbmpMso/v-deo.html.
Thank you so much. I bought seat covers, and I've been afraid to attempt installing them on the rear bench seat. However, I have a RAV4 Prime with rear seat warmers. Do you have any idea what I'll find when I lift up the bench? I'm a little (a lot) worried that I'll accidentally screw up the wiring.
Thanks! We have not removed the bench in the Prime but I am guessing that once you lift it, there will be electrical connectors which you have to disconnect in order to completely remove the bench.
I have a 2019 RAV4 hybrid. I’ve added a platform bed, but would like to lower it and gain more headroom. My understanding from another on utuber that you can remove just the back seat bench and fold down the back rest and it’ll become a flat surface. Apparently the battery is located in this area which is the reasoning for keeping the back rest and folding it down. I then intend to add my platform bed back over top of the folders back rests.. Is there any concern doing this?
@@kenlee9798 I didn’t remove the seats, just the bench cushion and it’s great. It gave more head room and I don’t have to store the seats. Win-Win! The cushion is easy to store in a closet or under the bed. Hope this helps 😊
From our experience, you need to pull hard in order to remove the bench. Also, when you reassemble it, you may need to separate the plastic clip that secures the bench in place. We showed this process in this video - ua-cam.com/video/YSsbuQtqJVg/v-deo.html.
@@JoeMeizer no clue, i was too scared to do it myself, others have just brute forced it successfully but again, its risky compared to previous models. I did see one person say it only cost them $5 to get a replacement clip, ymmv with that tho

Thanks so helpful! Trying to install seat covers
Best of the demonstarations that are littered in youtube abt rav4, this great guy is very succinct and very helpful. Thank you sir.
He is the best. Bar none. No bullshit, no nonsense. I wish the rest of youtubers were more like him.
Thank you for this video. It was straight to the point with no extra B.S.
You’re a lifesaver, I wouldn’t have found my ring without this video
This is how you demonstrate a task. Some of the Chinese manufacturers need to take a lesson.

Thank you from France, Russian guy!
Thanks 🎉 so nice explaining
Great to know. Clear description.
best video
Thank you for your video. I have a 2018 hybrid Does anyone know about the passenger back seat removal?
It should be very similar.
Thanks for this my friend!

I was thinking the same thing when I viewed the video. Have you tried it yet?

Do the seat fold down to flat if you have the bench removed?
No, they fold the same way.
Hi, may I ask which model is this toyota RAV4? Hybrid for Adventure or other else? Thanks
Hi, this is RAV4 Hybrid.
@@MorozovAutomotive Thanks
Is this the same thing for the Toyota Venza 2022?
no

I tried to pull bench but its not coming off. Rav4 Hybrid 2022. Not sure if it has different seat but it is not that simple

I pulled and pulled with nothing happening. The secret is to give it a quick yank and it will pop right out.
Is there a trick you aren’t showing as the Australian 2024 hybrid base model doesn’t seem to budge very easily using the method being shown
No, there is no trick. You have to pull hard to take it off. It may be quite tight.
Will these instructions work for removing the rear bench seat in a 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?
We have not tried, but, I believe it should be the same.
it is risky, 2023 rav4s have a special clip that may be damaged if you lift it directly
@@scwubbywubby where is that clip ??

Mine is pretty hard… it’s not pulling out at all… I guess it has something like a lock
When you remove it for the first time, it is quite tight. You may need to pull harder.
А остальные?
i thought it's install 3rd row
Mine isn't clicking back in....help?
Nvm I got it
