Don’t know how I missed this😳 I love it. As soon as 😷 production slows down, I’d like to make it. I need to take advantage of cutting with my Cricut. Thank you:)
This is the item I was.looking for when Googled drawstring bag. Looking for something for my guides the have at camp for their toothbrush and toothpaste and soap and other items. Thank you so much for this.
Kristy Huber I think It’s only because of size limitations when cutting on the Cricut. I would definitely just cut 2 longer pieces. Sometimes using the Cricut isn’t worth it.
I just made one of these, and I find that my drawstrings tend to bind on me. I switched from shoe laces over to nylon ribbon, and that seems to work better, but not immune to the issue.
I have two Cricut maker machine I got off amazon why two I don't know I have not use them yet I going use one so I can make some those make up bags for Christmas gifts
What does cut on the bias mean? And what are those clips you use to secure the fabric? They look like they would be really useful, much better than pinning.
Belinda Frazier the silhouette can’t cut unbonded fabric but you can cut it in cardstock and use that as a template to hand cut the fabric. I give a lot of Instructions in the video on how to make it without the Maker
Janice Johnson if you cut with the Maker it will be cut on the bias as that is how I set up the cut file. If you’re cutting by hand - see the linked video and it explains about cutting on the bias
@@tamikiabrodeur965 When you say "stretchy side", I understand what you mean, but for a novice sewist, that might be confusing. Bias means the diagonal grain of the fabric, as opposed to lengthwise or Width of Fabric (WOF). The RESULT is that the fabric is able to be manipulated a little more than if it was cut lengthwise or WOF.
Instead of the vinyl you can use the waterproof table cloths. They have really cute prints.
What a simple project. The pouch is for endless carrying!
This is a cute idea! This is perfect to take toys on the go for easy travels! Thanks Lorrie
This is easier than some I made yrs ago, love it.

This is a such great DIY project for gifts.

Oh man!! Never knew that vinyl existed! Thank you!
What is the reason for needing the different sized bias pieces? Wouldn’t two, equal length strips work the same? Thank you

Thanks for this pattern & ideas!
Omg!! I'm gonna sew a bag and use bit as a diaper bag!!! And I'm gonna do this!!!
Adorable. Thanks so much for sharing. I just love your projects they're always practical
Thank You. Very nice project. And your directions for this would also make a good bowl cover with the PUL and elastic instead of the string.
I'm so glad you did this video! I needed some last minute gifts
Love your videos. This is a great quick project

Very practical and cute! I want to make these for all of nieces this xmas. Does the vinyl wrinkle with opening and closing?
I’d like to see how to cut fabric with my Maker. I’ve never done it!
thanks Lorrie for this idea love it
Clever!

Great! Thank you, so much for sharing!

They are called “wonder clips”. I love mine.
Wonderful gift idea, tfs
This is kind of cool😉
Hi. Do you find that the vinyl cracks after a little while? Or does it stay pliable?
What type needle did you sew with? Thanks
Bill Sovitsky I would think a size 14 or 16 general purpose.
Good job.
Can you make one that has shorter pulls! Mine are so long!
Just cut the strings shorter ?
Awesome!
Hi Lorrie, I just got a Silhouette Cameo 3 for my birthday. Can I do the same thing?
Belinda Frazier the silhouette can’t cut unbonded fabric but you can cut it in cardstock and use that as a template to hand cut the fabric. I give a lot of Instructions in the video on how to make it without the Maker
Does the iron on vinyl need to be gloss or would it still look nice with matte?
Kaitlin Tourout that would be a personal preference.
What size was used?
Thanks Lorrie for such a cute idea! By the way, what does “Cut on the bias” mean?
Janice Johnson if you cut with the Maker it will be cut on the bias as that is how I set up the cut file. If you’re cutting by hand - see the linked video and it explains about cutting on the bias
Thanks
It means the stretchy side

Cynthia Sibitzky I AM new to home sewing and the stretchy side was the EASIEST explanation in my opinion.
