The paramedics deserve alot of credit your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated even in the windy city of Chicago keep them safe out there job well done you should be amazed and proud love you guys great catches as usual way to go ! Joe
That number 42 , I was hauled by that from a "catastrophic" accident to NMH , I have worked downtown the last few years, and I do believe it has the loudest horn of any of them. That thing has been a daily reminder , sometimes multiple times a day. Going to miss it tomorrow working in the suburbs....
Listening the sirens without looking at the video has a really bad effect on my imagination, I started to feel like being in a apocalyptic day, like the end of the world, where people run everywhere, crying and screaming. I think I've seen too much apocalyptic movies.....Yeah, absolutely.
JESUS CHRIST! I came here because someone said European (my) sirens were creepy, so I felt like checking the US-versions out. Effing christ, it's like some sortof screeching zombie is slowly crawling towards you and then shrieks and haunts you.
It doesn't really make sense as to why the Chicago fire department got rid of these ambulances or only have them as reserves because these new E350s are horrible. You would think they learned something from 10 to 15 years ago the fact that "E350s in Chicago do not work"
Don't see a reason for the Lightbar. The surface mounts clearly outpower the bar. Two more surface mounts would be far better and cheaper. Lightbar itself is cool though. A guy in New York is selling a few right now right from Chicago FD.
Because it's important to dispatch ambulances immediately to the site of a fire. Fire stations also tend to be more evenly distributed throughout populated areas, strategically positioned for quick response, whereas hospitals are few and far between, located in more centralized locations.
It’s an EQ2B siren by Federal Signal we have a ton of them in NYC with our fire department aka the FDNY the only thing that sets our EMS service in the FDNY apart is they don’t use an EQ2B siren on any of the ambulances battalions divisions marshalls rescue medics MERVs ATRVs or even RAC units they use the Federal Signal Smart siren and the Federal Signal PA400 siren instead, our engine ladder rescue squad foam satellite and super pumper companies use the EQ2B siren today, only the High Rise Units have the low pitched PA300 siren and sounds similar to Ladder 10 (Manhattan) Engine 37 (Manhattan from 1993-2003) Engine 6 (Manhattan) Squad 18 (Manhattan) Ladder 38 (Bronx) Engine 205 (Brooklyn) Ladder 5 (Manhattan) Ladder 6 (Manhattan) Engine 55 (Manhattan) Ladder 33 (Bronx) Ladder 40 (Manhattan) Ladder 4 (Manhattan) Ladder 1 (Manhattan) Ladder 16 (Manhattan) Ladder 20 (Mahnattan) Ladder 26 (Manhattan) Ladder 27 (Bronx) Ladder 29 (Bronx) Ladder 34 (Manhattan) Ladder 37 (Bronx) Ladder 39 (Bronx) Ladder 56 (Bronx) Ladder 61 (Bronx) Ladder 104 (Brooklyn) Ladder 106 (Brooklyn) Ladder 110 (Brooklyn) Ladder 112 (Brooklyn) Ladder 113 (Brooklyn) etc etc
I just went to Chicago and saw Ambulance 42 about 10 times.i went to the fire station and I was in the back of 42 and then it got a run. I have about 2 videos of it. Check out my channel!!
This is literally my dog's favorite video

Salute Them!!!!! The Ambulances is Fantastic! The Sirens,Beacon lights are Damn good! But not in Singapore.
1:17 woah that’s an airhorn 1:23 aaaawww how cute.
I bet it's a whole new experience driving code in a big city like that... It seems like most the drivers respect the red lights though..
Besonders cool finde ich dieses "Do not follow" hinten auf den Türen unter der 42. :D

*"DO NOT FOLLOW"*
*Really you lied to me?*
Schmitt Djeson by “DO NOT FOLLOW”, it means “Keep back about 200 feet.”
I went to Chicago 6 years ago and those sirens would get on my nerves.
JESUS CHRIST!
I came here because someone said European (my) sirens were creepy, so I felt like checking the US-versions out.
Effing christ, it's like some sortof screeching zombie is slowly crawling towards you and then shrieks and haunts you.
Well, this is using the Federal Q siren. A "normal" ambulance would probably use "normal" wail, yelp, etc. tones.
bro the Q siren you could possibly ever use for the fire department uwu
Same here... This is the stuff of nightmares....
LOL! ;-D everytime I put this on my Chihuahua howls with emotion. it's so cute. :-*
this starts a choir of dogs in my house including my Chichua
very nice siren!!
Yup my dog goes crazy over this video lol
love the airhorn on it, Why is the left light bar on the bumper out!!!
did anyone else notice that one light out

Great siren.
I think thats a hose that collects all the smoke that exits out of the exhaust pipes.
Sounds like a siberian husky howling...
Dutch ambulance siren sound less scary in fact I want a Dutch ambulance 3 tone siren as my iPhone ringtone

never seen an ambulance with a mechanical siren
Are they gonna fix the broken red light on the front bars? lol sorry, seeing lights not working is a pet peeve of mine.

I saw lol. I really should watch the whole video before commenting.

My dogs go crazy
why is it that most American ambulance services are part of the fire service?? its weird
Because it's important to dispatch ambulances immediately to the site of a fire.

Does anyone know what type of lightbar the Ambulance has?

Actually its not a Mechanical siren, very deceiving though. Its an electronic Whelen.

Why is my dog howling ??
My dog does the same thing!
@wwwrescue911de How often do you go on tour?
right red front light off service !
Why chicago ambulance. always use federal q
Becuase that's what they run
Most fire departments that have EMS put federal Q's on their ambulances. It's not just Chicago.
Federal EQ. EeeeeeeEEEEEQ QQQQ
Probably responding to gun violence
Yep
Haha Americans have guns America bad
this dude really likes #42
wtf is this even.
Jason Weaver 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
.
They gotta stop using those Eq2bs. Consider using Carson's
Not so much they some times can care less about the red lights.
