  • Here's a small compilation of various German EMS vehicles: the ordinary ambulances, transport ambulances, emergency doctor cars, chief and command units, equipment vans and trucks, large capacity ambulance buses and water rescue units. The videos are taken across Germany, in the south and north. east and west just like in central Germany.
    If you have a question concerning a specific unit in the video, its purtpose, where it's housed or the German EMS in general, just let me know in the comments
    Einsatzfahrzeuge Rettungsdienst Deutschland.
    Querbeet aus Deutschland stammen diese Videos verschiedenster Fahrzeuge des Rettungsdienstes: vom üblichen Rettungswagen, Krankentransportwagen und Notarzteinsatzfahrzeug bis hin zu Führungsfahrzeugen, SEG-Einheiten und Wasserrettung.
    Wenn ihr Fragen habt wo ein bestimtes Fahrzeug aus dem Video her kommt, so lasst es mich bitte einfach in den Kommentaren wissen

    The best option to yield for a Ambulance when your on a roundabout is not to take the exit or stop, but drive a second round.

    • @EnjoyFirefighting
      @EnjoyFirefighting  4 роки тому +7

      it sure is a good option, however some EMS crews would take the shortcut and drive against the flow of traffic when taking the third exit, like in this case: ua-cam.com/video/EP2XveJuFSI/v-deo.html

      Dezzi that is NOT correct. Some few departments used them without permission, some other had trial runs, but until today they are not legal and the department (and/or crew) is not covered by insurance in case of the emergency vehicle is involved in an accident while using wail/yelp sirens

      that's a BLS Transport Ambulance either responding to a larger call, or acting as First Responder on a normal medical emergency, or transporting a patient whose condition got worse. Rather rare to see the BLS Transport Ambulances running lights and sirens in most areas. At my EMS station is was pretty common for the BLS Transport Ambulance doing first responder calls or covering an entire ALS call on its own when the ALS Emergency Ambulance was out on another call already

      that's an emergency doctor with his POV; in that city there are two ordinary emergency doctor cars, 3 'regular' backup emergency doctors and a (to me unknown) number of doctors which have the qualification as emergency doctor and may run their own POV as backup in extraordinary large incident. This was one of them

      Based on other clips in this compilation with the same car I'd bet that they have the classic two-tone siren as well and use that most of the time, but when travelling with other vehicles they switch over to different tones which should help make the sense of urgency seem higher.

    Hey what do the ambulance buses do and what's inside of them?

    • @EnjoyFirefighting
      @EnjoyFirefighting  8 років тому +6

      they are basicly just ambulances with a greater capacity; They have the plain normal equipment on board, but multiple times: depending on the layout the number of patients on board varies: thus you can have many slightly wounded patients on board where a place to seat is sufficient, or you have several patients with stretchers on board, and some of them can also be used for one intensive care patient. The specific layout and the requirements differs from one department to another one.
      They are dispatched in case of mass casualty incidents
