Mike, it's nice to see that an "A-Service" in Pitt area is in the same ballpark as an "A-Service" in Columbus, OH. Mine was two weeks ago for $220. Next year's "B-Service" is $349. The one thing you will find is that the service folks will find maintenance issues very quickly...and that really adds on to the annual service price. Because your car is brand new you probably will get two years before they start "finding" things. Having worked at a Dealership I don't have to tell you that service departments look for revenue opportunities at every turn, so to speak. My dealership in Columbus is very good so I trust them (most of the time..lol) PS...the more I see your C63s's wheels the more I like them. You did a great job finding those! Think spring, buddy. Servicing my wife's C43 coupe tomorrow at 10K miles. Was interested in your cost as my GLE was $1100 for service B last week at 16K miles. It included a tire rotation and 4 wheel alignment which was $300. I really like the dealership but the service costs are way out of line.
Well to be perfectly honest in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone, who thinks differently from my point of view, but also looking into this matter in a different persceptive, and without being condemming of one’s view and by trying to make it objectified and by considering each and everyone’s opinion, I honestly believe that I completly forgot what I was about to say.

I have seen some crazy things on the road. In one instance, I was abruptly passed by two cars racing on a two lane highway while I was going 65 in the right lane. Simultaneously, one car passed me in the left lane, and the other passed me on the right shoulder. They flew by me as if I was standing still. They were probably going 130mph at least.

Just had my 15,000 mile service on colorado ZR2 $235 pretty much same stuff done but they did rotate tires. Little surprised yours were not rotated.
Considering that a regular oil change with synthetic can cost around $100 anywhere else, that $200 price from the MB dealer is positively reasonable...
$200 is outrageous. I have a 2013 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost. At the dealer oil/filter change with multipoint inspection is $48. With a tire rotation full service car wash and vacuum is $69. Even the cheaper oil & filter change gets a run through the car wash. The car has a mild 3 BAR tune.

AutoVlog, you are so lucky. In Europe in my country Bulgaria , I payed 300$ only for oil change on bmw 535D 2004 year.... Those prices are so good , its like service some cheap toyoto or so ... I can't believe there is such a huge difference between North America and Europe...

We have a lot of Mercedes out at our port, AMG and some base as well that come with P-Zero tires. Even the SUV AMG GLE 63s.. its a monster..

AutoVlog, I own a 16 F150 5.0, I use synthetic, how many miles would you go on synthetic oil before changing it? Also I’m coming close to my first service, do you think it’s worth it for a average truck?
I was going about every 10,000-15,000km, they at the dealer say 8k should be my max. Which I find hard to believe lol

Thats pretty damn good. I currently drive a Lexus RCF and my 10k mile service was near $400. I too service my vehicles out 2500 miles before its due. Nice to know the price because this is one of the next vehicles I am considering.
Dealer Servicing is the cash cow that keeps on giving (to the dealer)
Mike, i think you just paid an extra $50 for another $150 oil change. If they checked the brakes did they provide a measurement remaining on the invoice. Next time you take it in for service mark a couple of the wheel nuts and see if they have been removed. The print out on your invoice is a standard format, most of the things were "check" not service. Next time your driving down the highway, open the window, through out a $150 keeping $50 in your pocket for a oil change.

In Switzerland that service is about $700-1000. Oil change for my 2004 BMW X5 4.8iS is $500... So having oil change at Mercedes dealer for a new AMG car for $200 is more than ok.

if i heard you right Mike, all they actually did was an oil change. they lifted the hood, took literally 5 seconds to see fluid levels were good, check pad thickness and then changed the oil.
jupiter22177 he yelled BOHICA when he brought the car in. I spend $30 for 5 quarts of synthetic oil and filter and change my oil myself in 45 minutes.

I prefer to have the sleeper car with the badging on the fender but not at the rear. That's the way cars were often presented in Germany up until about 5 years ago. Now only the base engine cars have the model delete while higher models always have the badging.
Unfortunately the tires ship from the factory with either Michelin or Pirelli. Last time I asked you couldn't choose when ordering, but they can change at the dealer for a fee of course.

My mum's Ml350 cost £500 (ish) for A service. You got a bargain there. Also, I'm coming around to like the wheels. I did mention on a previous video I wasn't a fan but they acctually look awesome and suit the car well
I think the de-badged e63 had a tire & wheel package. On the website they have other wheel options( aside from the regular options) plus one tire & wheel pack (summer or winter tire depends on the model).

From the price perspective in Europe, I expected the bill to be around 2000 USD, but when you showed the bill for 200 USD, I was shocked. Last time when I was in dealership with my Skoda Fabia (Skoda is part of VW group) which is small car for town with 1,4 liter an 84 hourse power engine, I paid for service 180 us dollars, but I have my own oil for change (more cheaper like dealership sold in his shop). If I bought oil from a dealer I would pay for the service for this Skoda around 270 us dollars. For small town car not a Mercedes c63 AMG!
Yes the back and forth weather here in this area is irritating, but thankfully this weekend will be in the 70s, time for some fishing for me it has been forever. I Know you can't wait for it to settle and do some car reviews, I enjoy that part of your lineup as well. I am sure you've thought of this already and I hope the dealers will cooperate, but perhaps you have a Top 5 or 10 list of cars that you want to replace the F-150 as your 3rd vehicle and the Fusion as your daily when it's too ridiculous for the AMG, and you can sprinkle those reviews in as a teaser of the possibility of that said 3rd car that is sporty and AWD. That was awful sweet of those two to send Sydney some fan mail and yes she is the President of FUN. lol ... So precious and I am sure you two practically roll with all the funny things she says. God Bless. O:) Oh and thanks for the maintenance info, I can't afford a new MB, but I keep looking at certified pre owned C and E Classes, etc... and they are not bad, but people always say even if you get a deal that way, the upkeep, parts, and maintenance cost is what will eat up your wallet. I thought 200-250 was reasonable for a Mercedes dealership. Im just going to guess now next service when they have to change the engine air filter and/or cabin filter with the oil change will be around 400-550.

It’s just an oil change with someone theoretically checking other fluids and consumables. Service B is the big one.

Are you worried about doing down pipes ? I have a F10 M5 and getting ready to tune mine but i don't want to mess with down pipes I heard it could cause problems plus my car as warranty . I would love to hear your thoughts

Don’t do the other services ask them for a car inspection they will check everything and let you know what’s wrong. They will literally replace shit that isn’t even worn out or broken.
If you do your maintenance yourself it's much cheaper and you know what you did replaced. But great content Mike. 😉
Mike, that is a good price on that 10K sercice. A friend of mine who has a Lexus paid $225 for the same service at 10K
On my Ford Fusion, an oil change, brake inspection, tire rotation is only $44.

It was snowing in Fayetteville Arkansas on Saturday the 7th. 24 degrees icy and snowing. Was in our brand new F-150 super cab Lariat with the 5.0L and the 8ft bed as well as Max payload and max tow packages. I got to check out all the traction stuff and driving mode.
