I love that Jan found his place as a big poketuber. I was a frequent watcher of his streams pre reacting to Jaiden. Even roomed with him and a few other streamers at twitchcon 2017 which I see as a privilege given I was just a viewer and not a streamer myself. If anyone wants hotel room stories from then I will provide.
I love each new reaction to this video hitting the appearance of the Frostlass. Every time (and it's like 90% of the time) that a reactor pauses and goes "oh no" it gives me power. :p
I'm not even a Nuzlocker myself (I'd get way too stressed by it if I tried doing a Nuzlocke, and Pokemon is something I use to chill and relax, not stress myself out....if I want to play something that could irritate me, I'd turn to something like Elden Ring or another such FromSoft game) and yet I had the exact same reaction to Froslass the first time I saw this animation. I've played enough Pokemon to know what Snow Cloak does and that Froslass is one of the Pokemon who has access to Snow Cloak.
Jaiden has a second channel called jaidenhere where she uploaded a vid showing more of the soul link showing more of the gameplay if u want to see or even react to it.
The Funny thing with the flipping off of Chuck by Jaiden.... Is from another comment I read, who mentions Missingno was apparently coded to be the "Bird" type
It was indeed. It was allegedly Bird type was meant to be a type before it changed to flying. Probably to allow for other creatures who can fly like Charizard and Gyarados. So the theory goes anyways.
I'm a little confused. Was the way Wynat evolved changed from gen 4 onwards? Because I could have sworn that it was a level evolution at level 30 in gen 3.
Hey, I'm sorry, what is this intro?? I came in to watch some good reactions, and was NOT expecting to go hard with a sick beat right off the bat! 😂 I really like that intro, now I'm pumped for the video!
I wasn't aware that there was also a "gender" rule for Soul Links, but IMO that rule on top of all of the others would be far too restrictive, particularly considering the rule prohibiting shared primary typings. Also, it's worth noting that Mankey literally was Jaiden's only viable starter choice here. Picking Wynaut would effectively be suicide for the run as it has no attacking moves, and picking Ariados would mean the rival would have a Wynaut/Wobbufet in *EVERY* rival battle, which would have been a nightmare for their run (just look at what happened with the rival's Hitmontop on victory road!). The only choice Jaiden could make that wouldn't ruin their run almost immediately was Mankey. But I just thought of something that I'm unsure of when it comes to a Soul Link with the no shared typings rule active. Even though Arceus is naturally a Normal type, if you had a Plate to change it's type, would you then be allowed to use Arceus, or would it still count as being a Normal type as far as that rule was concerned? Also, it's very ironic that had Jaiden used the Froslass she caught earlier, despite her being salty about Chuck's Froslass, it would have saved Darphel from dying to that Counter form Hitmontop due to Froslass being immune to Counter thanks to it's Ghost typing. So the Pokemon responsible for their first deaths in the run could in turn have saved them from one of their worst late-game deaths.
The gender rule was something that was popularised and used by some of the poketuber soul link playthroughs so it was an intrigue of mine if they would do it which they opted not to. It does make for a lot of restrictions which can be annoying agreed. Also completely agree on the Mankey choice. With regards to Arceus, the encounter was a normal type upon catching it, so it would always be considered a normal type encounter. I don't think they ever mentioned if they had a plate or not during the run so would assume they didn't. Froslass was definitely funny that it came back XD
14:50 Hearing you mention the Snow Warning made me grin since I knew what was coming in the next gym battle. XD
Haha yeah I kinda sensed it too at the time I was like ‘there’s no way the odds are so low’ then damn that fight was cruel
I’m glad I’m not the only one! I have the exact same face as Chuck does at 17:53

Jan has definitely done a good job of being critical but honest in the way he works. I think we can all appreciate that.
How was Jan as a roommate? xD

I feel that XD I’ve seen a fair few people watch this since I did this video and every time I get to this point I’m like ... ‘same’ XD

Literally predicted every move that was gonna happen. That's some 4head shit
Playing Nuzlockes for years as well as competitive play teaches you a lot sometimes XD
@@RibombeeTeacher same i used to be ass but i got stomped into the ground so many times i just learned my lessons
@Dr.Dylan`s game that’s certainly one way to learn XD

oh wow, a nuzlocker that explains everything properly without being annoying about it
that was a pretty interesting reaction, props

i love how he's predicting everything lol
This dude read the script somehow, his narration is on point
Loved your reaction!
I blame UA-camr Domics for starting the trend of drawing Pokémon super buff. He's the first person to do it
Yeah I had heard of Domics and the buff mons stuff. Definitely some weird shenanigans but some of them did turn out quite amusing at least.
Amazing Reaction! I Subbed
about the salamence google thing with palkia after this video came out and got popular google had changed it to dragon
yeah I know, but the meme still lives on
So they didn't get the free Dratini? I get they probably randomized it but the old man is supposed to give you a Pokemon after you get the badge.
It may also be because the dratini is lvl 20 I believe that picking up the encounter may have been worthless
This was a good reaction.
Thank you for watching and enjoying the reaction, appreciate it

As far as I remember it's lvl 15 since it's debut

Glad you like it, the drop is actually from a piece of music I had written for me. The full song is actually another video on the channel

I've seen many reactions to this video, no one ever wants to pick the ariados :(
If only it was better and worth picking XD
@@RibombeeTeacher true
When i first watch that part i heard " why not take any of those"
well I take my chances with Dragonair and metagross
The gender rule isn't a standard rule. In fact the typing thing isn't either. Its just a POPULAR rule.
Good video! what is your accent?
I’m British with Irish descent so it kinda creates a fun accent XD when I’m tired the Irish really comes out
@@RibombeeTeacher oh no wonder I couldn't really recognize it if it's a mix! it's very pleasant to listen too :)
