Sorry for your personal loss...and BTW, Rutger was an amazingly versatile actor-from the replicant, "Roy," in Blade Runner, to his romantic knightly role in Ladyhawke. On the surface, due to the fantasy theme, the latter was a film that I had my doubts as to whether it would meet with my satisfaction (must confess that it was the presence of Michelle Pfeiffer that lured me in). But, much to my surprise, I found Ladyhawke to be a vividly *delightful* romp-from beginning to end!
The closest we got to see was his fellow Dutchman Jereon Krabbe aka Georgi Koskov in The Living Daylights. Hauer and Krabbe appeared together in two of Paul Verhoeven’s films, Soldier of Orange and Spetters. Krabbe is probably best known from The Fugitive as Dr. Nichols.
Greetings from Australia! I was a huge fan of Rutger. Saw most of his films, even very early Dutch films. He was such a versatile actor. I was devastated when he passed away. Thank heavens for video. Susan
her questions were a bit stupid. i laughed when he answered. he gave them more respect than they were due. but a thoughtful man. i ve never seen him interviewed. i ve missed a lot it seems.
I do not think so. I mean she asked in my opinion very stupid questions. My questions would had been 1. How well you did come along with your co actors and actresses? 2. D you think that the script writers should had added flashbacks Captain Navarre and Isabeaus love story, how they met and fell in love? 3 Mr Hauer you have always played the roles of the antagonist and now you are the protagonist for the first time, so how did it felt to play the good and the hero of the story? And is there a difference between playing the good guy compared playing the Bad guy? 4 what was your favorite scene in this movie? Theese woulh had been my questions if I was interwieving him.
The thought of a fully grown horse falling with me like that, landing on me with my back crashing to the ground, sounds just awful and it got not a moment's care.
His voice was gorgeous either way, but I preferred it when he sounded more Dutch/European. I saw several interviews where he has his natural accent and he sounds so charming.
Bobbie Wygant is one of the worst interviewers I've ever seen. She never asks an open ended question and so locks her guest into some narrow conversations.
He is dead wrong about the score. If they had a good orchestral score for the whole film it would have launched the film higher. The synth really dates it and makes it feel like a cheap videogame. Also if they replaced Broderick.
I will miss this incredible man.. His charisma, his talent, his charming smile.. His piercing eyes, his voice..
😞
My favorite movie even now in 2021
Thank you for uploading this Ladyhawke is my favorite movie of all time!
My God! So intelligent and wise, in addition to beautiful. I'm stunned.
Intelligent, mysterious, charismatic, deep, funny , loyal .. he was kind too. Honestly Rutger was perfect to me. Perfect!
Rutger is just so darling, so handsome. RIP wonderful man! :-)
He died? 😭
@@nicolehall2006 yeah nearly 2 years ago now. Bad time for me. Rutger died then my mom died too ..

He would've made a great Bond Villain
he did not want them, he has been offered several and turned them down

@@ryanh603 love them both thanks for that
He played one of the greatest villains in movie history, The Hitcher, that's not bad.
@@SCharlesDennicon he was a wildman in that! A demon almost. I love the Hitcher movie it’s one of my faves.

@@bobbiewygantarchive Great! Susan
I am a big fan too! I think he was gorgeous.
@@desertrose1226 he certainly was gorgeous! Extremely charismatic, even playing a baddie.

@David Topchiev unspecified illness was the official cause given to the press.

I like how Rutger talked a lot on the horse, his riding and the film's music.
Music was fantastic!!! Great great love story and movie! Filmed in Italy
It came from where I came from, very Zen
Ha! He’s a great actor but he can’t hide his annoyance with dumb questions
My ideal idea of what HANDSOME means. He was the finest thing to ever walk this planet. He really suits this dark blond he's got goin on here! Hot!
I agree, he was drop dead gorgeous. Such intense eyes, perfect face, omg.
I am so glad he enjoyed it. I did too.
The music was perfect
Beautiful rip
What a movie !!!!!
He’s awesome
Wanted dead or alive is the best Rutger Hauer ever.......👍👍much like it's era.....RIP 🙏🙏
RIP Rutger Hauer ❤
Rutger and Michelle should have done more movies together. They seem to have a similar mojo
He seems irritated a bit and pissed off..he's very attractive when angry!

nah
Gracias por subirlo 👍👍
“I love Texas” “well, is there anything wrong with that?” lol would love to hear that fleshed out
r.i.p. Rutger...Holland hero!
Oof awkward seeing Haeur putting down that cigarette at the start of the video knowing that he would eventually die from Cancer...
Hi. I'm actually a robot asking questions in a fake friendly voice typical of the 1980s. 🤖
She would even intimidate me..she sounds like a clinical phycologist. She’s pretty naive
He doesn’t seem to enjoy interviews.
ask a silly question, get a silly answer! He is being a good sport considering the questions.
Rudger Houer😢
God bless your soul
Bobbie wygnett is awsom interviewer

Why is she talking to no-one at the end of this?
filming with one camera and doing her cuts to be edited into final interview
The thought of a fully grown horse falling with me like that, landing on me with my back crashing to the ground, sounds just awful and it got not a moment's care.
Wow, that ending was so damn weird…
No wonder Rutger didn’t seem to take her seriously
"You dont, huh?"
Interesting that he has no accent here.
He hired a dialect coach to minimize his Dutch accent in order to get more roles in American movies.
He lost his previous heavy accent. He sounds more American now.
His voice was gorgeous either way, but I preferred it when he sounded more Dutch/European. I saw several interviews where he has his natural accent and he sounds so charming.

I loved the synth as a kid. It was what sold it for me. All a matter of perspective I guess.
