BYU was the best fanbase/gameday environment I experienced when I toured all of the Big 12 arenas last season. Their crowd is absolutely crazy. Well done 👍🏽
@@zachvanwinkle2605 Yes. Allen field house was a very close second. Kansas and BYU are clearly the top 2 game day environments in the Big 12. Best wishes
To be honest this video does not reflect how Tech is now must do your research. You mention in the videos does not get larger enough crowds to warrant the size of the arena you are far off maybe a redo of this video is needed so that you can better reflect Tech’s arena and attendance
@@Onti0628 I do plan on doing another video on the big12 absolutely. Hope this didn't leave a sour taste in your mouth. You can give it a chance if you're interested. Honestly, I was not expecting this first series of videos to get as many view as it has. This was supposed to be my learning/experimentation phase on UA-cam. I can't know everything I am doing wrong without actually posting and hearing peoples input. That's why I appreciate your honesty, very helpful!
Tbh I don’t watch TT unless it’s during March Madness. Regular season college basketball I watch mainly ACC since I’m a Pitt fan. To be clear I really like Techs Arena, although I’m not a big fan of second decks. I can’t really speak to much to that though since the Pete has one too. Didn’t mean to be harsh about Techs fan base, they have a larger avg crowds than Pitt does and they GET LOUD
You needed to do some more research on Texas Tech. "It doesn't draw big enough crowds to warrant a second deck" while showing a picture thats over 10 years old. Texas Tech fills that arena now and has for the better part of this decade. Ranked 2nd in Big 12 attendance for the last 5 years.
I like what you're doing with the venue videos but for some of these arenas it seems like you don't really know much about the school's and their programs. Hilton Coliseum is considered one of the toughest places to play in college basketball and is constantly selling out their games so those upper decks are full. Same with Texas Tech. The picture used is very old and they sell out games constantly too, so the upper decks are necessary for the size of crowds that they bring in each season. Just would like a little more research done on programs that you are going to make videos about and recent pictures that show the true capacity of the venues.
I try my best to get the best pictures. If there aren't any out their that aren't copyrighted there isn't a whole ton that I can do unfortunately. Working on getting the information more up to date/accurate in my recent channel update. I appreciate the kind words and the critiques though. Very helpful!
Cincinnati's arena also serves as the city's main winter concert venue and also hosts monster truck events motocross rallies, rodeos, wrestling cards, boxing and mma fights. All of which would easily fill the upper deck
You can tell by that scoreboard that the interior picture is a pretty old one of Tech. Prior to Tubby Smith getting hired (and even some during his tenure), the upper deck would be empty because the basketball team was really, really, really bad. It gets filled up pretty regularly these days.
Yeah, the Cincinnati upper deck is absolutely not ever “empty”. If anything, that fills up more than the lower bowl where the rich donors sit. For big 12 play, was sold out almost every game. Your idea of one big bowl I don’t think would improve the arena at all.
I actually prefer stadiums and arenas with decks. I'd rather have a view overhanging the field/court. You could be sitting in that Utah arena and literally have 40+ rows in front of you. That can't be a good view. Also, last year's average attendance at Tech was over 13k. The upper decks are usually pretty full. Do better research.

Did you go to Allen field house? I’m a KU fan but I’ve only been when I was 7 so I don’t remember it the best

Why not find a pic of Tech when the upper deck is full,, its full quite often, ya know.
You’re right it is quite often yeah, I just couldn’t find a pic that wasn’t grainy of it full

Just watched your video. You might want to learn a bit about Techs crowds the last 5 years.

Shout out to the LOVES ad on the Ghallagher-Iba jumbotron 😂

Mckale center is the best place to watch a basketball game in the country in my humble opinion.
Looks super nice, I wouldn't mind catching a game there if I got the opportunity
Big 12 Basketball this upcoming season is just going to be a gargantua.
Honey wake up, new wasted potential video just dropped
American Southwestern Conference Is What I Call It, Nowadays!

Utah has an upper bowl btw it was just blocked off by black curtains in the photo. Great arena thou.
* program is not doing too well? Bearcats? Lol, bro. Seems you didn't watch the matches last season. The upper deck is mostly full.
Yeah, overall can tell he did not watch a single game and certainly not seen in person.

United Arena at Texas Tech reflected poor research on your part.

Utah has an upper bowl. Was covered by black curtains in that pic.
Bramlage Coliseum = Octagon of Doom
CU Events Center = Octagon of Snooze 🥱
