- The addition of the German battlecruiser line seems to have sown some confusion - the two lines are quite similar in some regards, but different in others, so which one should players prefer? Well, let's shine some light at the differences and similarities.

Haha, I'm absolutely in love with the space camos. The only ships I don't have them for is the Moskva and the Hindenberg.
One other thing to note with the space camo for the GK is it does not produce smoke from its exhaust stacks, so it does not give away your heading. I find this to be beneficial at longer range engagements. A lot of micro maneuvering will often result in reduced enemy shots on target.

I was wondering how far to grind the new line, since it has been fun to play. Unfortunately, however much I learn from you(& it’s been a lot. Thank you again), I haven’t been able to approach your level of skill, & I’m running out of German captains, so I’ll have to choose where to stop. It looks like it will be the well armored war hammer over the sword though I like both. Be well.
One of the most bizarre things of these two lines is that the GK line aka the Kriegsmarine battleships don't have a Reichsalder on their sterns and the Battlecruiser line aka Kaiser's ships get one.... I know those Battlecruisers are modernized versions of WWI designs but still is quite odd and it's one of the questions that keeps me wondering before going to sleep.

I prefer the GK over the Schlieffen, even though I’m making a video series for it. Plus I don’t own it (yet). But to be honest I prefer the thicker armor and more hit points for brawls
Edit: the space camo,s are the only non historical camouflage,s that I would use because A. The look cool and B. The buffs are great
Currently, still grinding for the GK in the German BB line. I can agree that the battlecruisers are indeed a bit challenging. To this day, in my Prinz Heinrich, I am convinced I am in a German BB when I'm not. Most of my games I've had to play at range, waiting for a chance to get into secondary range, which for me hasn't really happened, which is unfortunate. They are still fun ships to play, and I shall grind for the Schlieffen.
Also, out of topic, but do you watch the World Cup, Terry? The Spain v. Germany game was a very good match. I believe Germany can still make it past the group stage by winning their next match.
Ty for the guide. Just got this ship since they had the reduction it's a bit sluggish and it helps to have competent help to be the most fun and effective it seems. But I admit my patience in looking at threats on the enemy team is limited the later at night I play. Apparently I usually have too much herb in my lungs be then or so my wife tells me.

Amazing video. I've been wanting the space camos for all my German tier tens. Could you do a video on Manfred von Richthofen unless you already did one. I've been looking at her for a while now and very intrigued by a cv built on a h-class bb hull. And not sure how it compares to the other h-class hulls ie Friedrich der Große, Pommern, Großer Kurfürst, and Prueßen

Schlieffen is extremely fun when playing with 2 schlieffen 😊...havent tried 3 yet.. Would love space gk camo .. But not through rng crate
I have playing this game for about 1.5 yrs. It's a very great strategy game. Not to fast and not too slow. I play this game for about or 2 prior to bed. I have a few 7 tier ships but Ive been grinding it out with the black Congo currently. Can you do a video setup of the black kongo so I can compare playing styles. I only pay for the weekly league and the organizational gild crate. Thank you very much for the informative videos.
I'm working my way up both German lines now- have T8 BB and T7 BC... The BCs are fun but not too forgiving. Push a bit too far or have a blunder/get focused and you're done. I'm pretty sure I'm going to appreciate the war hammer more than the longsword!;
I have the T9 BC and its really fun. Heinrich is my fav ship rn and it's so good that I can comfortably fight T8s with it if I have the circumstances for it. The zieten was a bit of a bump but still shines in brawling situations and it can take on T9s one-on-one funnily enough. The Prinz Rupprecht feels so much like the Heinrich and it's so good. Hoping the schlieffen offers more of the same although, I'm not too thrilled about the top reload. I used to dump all my torps but now I have to fire one launcher at a time as a cautionary approach
Terry, for a regular commander, would you recommend running horizontal protection expert or citadel strike on Yama?
Protection unless you go for a meme build. Cits are too much rng

Yes, the Rupprecht and Schlieffen both have 360 degree Y-turrets.

Hi Terry I also play world of warships and from the last two days it is not opening cand shows connecting to the server and tells me to retry to the asian server can u plzz tell what's the error
I don't work for WG, so can't really assist much with those kind of issues, sorry. If you're connected to a cloud account (Google / Facebook / wg.net), you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, as well as clearing local caches, that can help sometimes. Otherwise, e-mail support@warshipsblitz.com to raise an issue with them.
I'm at Friedrich in the BB line and liking it. The battlecruisers have been a bit of a learning curve but they are great ships save tier 8.
T8 isn't that bad to be honest but six guns are really frustrating. The reload however is so good that it caught a lot of cruisers off guard lol

@@JIRKABEZPERA no. I was referring to the alternate German battleship line(Von der Tann to Schlieffen), specifically the tier 8, Zieten of that line armed with 6 fast firing 16" guns.

I think Shlieffen is better. I like that you can choose the type of shells for secondary weapons and torpedoes sometimes help out.
Schlieffen actually hv a special 'eagle' camo which boosts all secondaries' range n concealment. And I obviously played the ship with concealment secondary build, which I managed to get the auto' s range up to 7.77km n concealed down to 9.01km lol. Traps anything that is bigger than a DD with that xd

Here's my 2 cents on this comparison. If you're looking for flexibility, go with Schlieffen, if you're looking for breakthrough ship, then Großer. Despite the vast hp gap between the two the Schlieffen is perfectly capable of holding her own in most 1 V 1 engagements if sailed properly. Mine is built for stealth which makes mine extremely sneaky and it let's me ambush people and catch them off guard.
Schlieffen has the Eagle special camo that boosts auto secondaries range and concielment...
I remember a game in my not maxed Schlieffen I had to brawl a GK and a Pruessen (not at the same time) meanwhile having torps launched by a freaking Shima because my team would just target the juicy battleships and I barely survived with like 1k health and no heals. Team where were you! Teams are so bad right now on the NA server
Ah, the number of times I had to hunt Shimas in my GK because Worcester was too busy farming... 😁

There's no correct answer to that question. I've made a video about it a while back, it always depends on player preference, which particular skills they have etc. 😁
I can imagine the confusion, though. I've been with the game since the days of yore, where there were only two tech trees, and T10 BBs came down to either Yama or Monty. Today, there are hundreds of ships, and the differences between lines are often nuances
here is the difference for me
you can't citidel a kurfurst with an izumo but you can do it a lot more with a schlieffen
So, can I say that Schlieffen is a berserker and GK is a guardian?

True, but unless the GK has someone to spot the Schlieffen, if you spec the Schlieffen for secondaries and concealment it will probably be within secondary range before the it opens fire and is spotted.
Personally I can’t get past FDG since the meta makes it such a bad bb. It gets farmed since it’s as maneuverable as a GK. The secondaries are nowhere near as good, GK has significantly better armor, and the GK has much better guns
I need to pay Freddie again, haven't tested her since the calibre changes. Back then, when I was grinding on my personal, it was ok, but that was way before the proliferation of supermassive calibre guns. She's got better acceleration now, and the 420s that were originally on the GK, but T9 can be tricky. I've certainly scored my share of citadels on Freddies.
