Thanks Terry. Just want to say again how much I appreciate your work, and how much it’s helped me be a better player. Congrats on 7,000 subs, been with you since before the first 1,000!
The main problem I face with this ship, is the saturation of Atlanticos which is like almost all of the games. I have to resort to sniping for all these matches coz Atlantico is busted af. I used to run your build with secondaries, but the secondaries get knocked out or I just can't use them coz I die before anything comes close. CVs and bad teams are also a massive problem Nice video is always though, Terry!
Terry thank you for your videos especially your map strategy videos I’ve been playing for a short time but I’m taking some great advice from you I’m learning to play with the ships I have before taking on tier ten ships I’ve been playing 7 and 8 tiers and it’s truly a learning experience 😅 but I really enjoy the game and the CCs very nice thanks a million 😊
It's been so long since I played Bismarck. A very fun BB, but rn with Atlanticos sailing the seas, it can be difficult. I do have a Bismarck Class BB, the Tirpitz, but against an Atlantico, you need the team to focus fire on those things, something (at least the teams I had) did not do. Anyway, the Bismarck can be a bit of a challenge, as you went from Gneisenau that had torpedoes and then Bismarck doesn't. Even then, I would recommend the secondary module over the Dispersion mod, otherwise people are gonna think they can snipe with Bismarck.
@@daruma56563 Bismarck is goof at sniping, at least in the beginning of the game. I don't really want to stay at 10km, so I try to be always at 7km (secondary gun range). Once the enemy DD is dealt with, it's much easier to charge forward and brawl, as well as tanking to ensure the team can get the chance to perform good without getting focused on. Afterall, the German BB's are great at tanking.
I honestly don't see many Atlanticos these days. It's a bit like Roma before she was nerfed, you'd see one or two from time to time, but you still had to know how to use them. Yes, Atlantico is a stupid ship, but I have actually yet to see the flood of them everyone describes 🙂
@@FunandGameswithTerry When I play, it'd guaranteed that there is one Atlantico every other game at times. It is a dangerous ship, especially when used right and the enemy team ignores you. But there were times when there were a lot of them, guaranteed 3, but that was during the time when it was released.
Had over 500 battles in the Bismarck and over 400 in the GK, not that these ships are bad, but since the German BC line came out I’m rarely motivated to play the traditional BB line, Schlieffen is just so much more fun
I quite enjoy the battlecruisers as well, but there's still a spot for the BBs. Gneisenau is a battlecruiser, for all intents and purposes, and Zieten is a bit weird, but in tiers 9 and 10, there's a pretty distinct difference. Schlieffen can work really well, or not at all, if you get spotted / focused. Same with GK, but GK does different things - GK has the survivability to break through a line and open up opportunities for the team, something Schlieffen really struggles to do. I personally like them equally :)
@@FunandGameswithTerry I really like Gniesenau as well , I have just over 4K battles played with her and share my level 12 Hipper Commander with her. Its possible I might the most Gnisenau battles played in NA server .
I have Bismarck with Back from the Seabed camo which further buffs the secondaries and a L-10 commander. It's definitely still relevant but never brawl a full health Atlantico. Atlantico out brawls FTG's so Bismarck doesn't stand a chance one on one.
Great video, I tend to play the Odin more than the Bismarck but definitely agree it’s still a relevant ship. You do have to be very careful with Atlantico’s with it, but it seems like after the initial craze of practically every t8 game having at least two or three Atlantico’s has passed a bit.
Bismarck is a bit slow and a bit manueverless and when you have to face 2 or 3 Atlanticos at same time with their 12km range secundary that put 3 fires on you in every single salvo, you fell that you are not in a good ship. Tbh I preffer to use Gascogne even knowing that she has a crap armor than trust on bismarck's armor (that somethimes seems to dont be there)

Hi Terry, thank you for the video - Bismarck is still a good ship - you have to play a bit aggressive, but this is the way how to play German ships … as always greetings, but this time from Martinique 🇲🇶 … 😂💪👍
Lol “as a battleship, my job is to be visible and to soak up damage if possible”. I wish more BB players could figure this out. Too many long range sniping divas afraid of getting their paint scratched. Love soaking dmg. Literally my job as a tank of the sea. The scary thing is you need complimentary teammates that will take advantage. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve put myself in harms way to do my job and realized my teammate saw enemy ship(s) and 180’d out of there to leave me to die.
Not all BBs can soak up damage. The RN ones in particular seem to have a glass jaw, but at range they can be lethal with their HE. The German ones have excellent armour protection with the turtle back armour and are more practical for soaking up damage.
@@kardy12 correct, but if you consider your BB to be a glass cannon, don’t get mad when your DD’s and CA/CL’a don’t enter caps either. Supporting your front line players doesn’t mean sitting 5km outside of the cap and sniping. Same players then go into WC and shame the DD players for low damage output when they had no support and got teamed up by players in the other side who weren’t afraid to get a little dirty. Outside of British BB’s and maybe Italian, they’re all decently tanky and thanks to team scores, being tanky and soaking damage actually raises your position in the match. I’ve picked off MVP several times with only 3 mins or so of play time just taking hits, holding my cap and letting my team work freely around me to shut the other team down.
@@danielbaldwin2390 I’m not saying the general role of BBs isn’t to soak up damage - it absolutely is. But there is a lot of variety in BBs, and not all of them are as suited to that role. @@kardy12 agreed. Im not saying you should be front and Center. But there are some maps where you are doing your team a disservice by sitting at near max range behind the action. 1). Your dispersion goes straight to hell, so you’re not helping anyone with your guns anyway. And 2) a good player knows this and will focus fire the ship at the fore, because they aren’t being harassed enough to back off. For instance in Domination, it’s rare that you’ll see more than 3x ships go to a single cap, so getting at least to the edge will help keep your cap, or hold the other team in the cap if it’s theirs. Had a game last night where I didn’t take a cap, I just held the opponent from being able to go capture another cap by stalling them in place. That was with my Black Republique which isn’t very “tanky”. Just angles and harassment and was able to keep a DD, CL and BB frozen in place. Eventually I died and didn’t take the cap, but with about 3 mins left to go in the match, those ships couldn’t change the outcome without destroying my entire team who held the other two caps the whole time. Center cap is another one. Just poke yourself in, bow in, low profile. Use small angles and bad dispersion to your advantage. If they do the same thing, your both basically shooting each other with your front mains which means you’re still on an even playing field. If you’re in and they’re out and broadsiding, you have better dispersion % AND you’re killing them on capture points which are all that matter. I lost a game yesterday that really pissed me off. I held the Center cap (again in the BRep) for over 3 mins, eventually left to help teammates and to catch runners as we were way up on points. Ended with 102k dmg, 4 kills and a loss. I enjoy the Bismarck. The secondaries do a good amount of damage but I have also done some good tanking in zeiten which I know is suprising. Honestly, I just stay at the maximum range of the secondaries and unload on anything that looks at me wrong.
One of the things that the battleships are noticeably better at is surviving. As long as you can dodge the torpedoes, I'd be confident to take on a Zieten, especially if you can organise support. Bismarck doesn't play alone, and you can draw some fire and shield your teammates. Still, quite enjoying the battlecruisers as well.
I snagged the Halloween camo for him but didn’t quite make it past the Bayern. Something about German bbs has kept me away but I just might go for it now. Thanks for the insight as always Terry. Hey do you think you could either make a maxed Shikishima video or maybe just a game with her and Yamamoto’s APCS+? Would truly appreciate it and I think you may actually have some fun if you’re lucky 😂
I'm something of a new player and it's the only line I've gone far on so far. Struggling with the Bismarck right now but the Gneisenau is actually pretty fun. Can really do a lot of damage with torps and secondaries if you get close.
Gneisenau has the advantage of getting into T6 battles, whereas Bismarck has to go up to 9. Tier 8 can be a ceiling, since it's a pretty popular tier if you don't want to play 10. No shame in shelving it for a while and trying other lines. I've been playing T6 for a really long time before I got my first T8.
@@FunandGameswithTerry I've been playing it more actually and feel I'm improving with it. At least, my damage numbers are much better. Might've also been because I didn't have it maxed out. I mainly play this and that Rio de Janiero. That thing is pretty funny to play. Love obliterating dds
I absolutely love Bismark , my favorite ship with level12 commander... Use ur main guns to deal with atlantoco... These guns hit and they hit harder ... Deal with atlantoco in long range . Don't go within their secondary range .
So in short he wanted to say that no matter what ship you hold but the main thing is knowledge about strength and weakness of ship second is strategy . If you have both then no matter how much underrated you are In the end you will come up victorious . But I feel a little sad for Massachusetts . Despite high damage which reigned hell upon your team has suffered defeat
Damage doesn't win games, it helps, but in the end, it's often coming down to strategy. Massa could have sailed through the middle and controlled two caps before taking the third. Might have even gotten a shot at Edinburgh. In most cases, playing strategically trumps. Not saying that doing damage doesn't help, but it should always come second to controlling the engagement
Terry can u do one with Worcester a fully decked ...with historical camo and legendary equipment...am working towards it...I know u had done a video on it but can u do a fully decked one..please thanks
The German battleship line, starting T7, did get a special citadel mechanic in an update a while back. On PC, they're known for the turtleback armour scheme, hence the comparison. We don't know exactly, but it roughly works like this. On a regular BB, if you get a full pen on the central hitbox, there's a percentage chance that you score a citadel, offset by the citadel protection. You can look up the values on CIC. On the Germans, there's a second, "inner" armour check that needs to pass before you get the citadel. In effect, it makes Gneisenau and up harder to citadel than other lines.
I would somewhat disagree, actually. Very few T8 ships would stand alone against a concentrated carrier attack. CVs require an adjustment of playstyle, but I wouldn't say they make a ship unusable
Armament modification on really works with Hipper with the special skill selected. It gets downed modules back up in approx 5-7 seconds. I ran this set up for a while on GK. Now Hipper is back on Bismark until my CC captain is 12pt then he’s going on PR.
Yes, but the price you pay is pretty steep, since you'll lose propulsion. I generally don't worry too much about losing a gun or two, but I've got von Hipper on the GK with the skill.
No it’s not the suggested build. It’s a very niche build, it’s for when you know you’ll be close in brawling heavily and will run the chance of having guns stripped away heavily.
Bismarck's guns suck. They barely do any damage. 380mm is not enough for tier 8, especially when you have only 8 of them. So there is no sense in doing main gun build

I'll put it on the list, lots of maxed requests lately 🙂
I'm putting the dispersion mod on slot 1 with Halloween camo
Any truth to the rumor Black Bismarck is coming up in the shipyard rotation?
No idea. I tend not to pay attention to those things. But I heard she's pretty good.
Someone has been playing der rock und rroll. Ya?
Metal for life 🤟
I absolutely love Bismark , my favorite ship with level12 commander...
Use ur main guns to deal with atlantoco... These guns hit and they hit harder ... Deal with atlantoco in long range . Don't go within their secondary range .
I love tier 8 and love the Bismarck… always have. Had it for many years …. SwEeTcHeEKS…
It's so tough to brawl in t8 with so many atlanticos lying around let alone have a fair match!
Honestly, I rarely see them. Maybe one, sometimes, in a battle on NA - might be the times I'm playing.
@@FunandGameswithTerry maybe true, but in Asia they are like cockroaches. WG definitely got good deal selling them in Asia
Line Bismarck is still OK but I much prefer Black Bismarck...
I've heard good things about the black version. Already got Tirpitz, Odin & Richie for T8 tho
Bismarck and GK is a ship that im playing when i got poor conection 😂
Terry can u do one with Worcester a fully decked ...with historical camo and legendary equipment...am working towards it...I know u had done a video on it but can u do a fully decked one..please thanks
I'll put it on the list
@@FunandGameswithTerry 😊👍
I re bought the bizzie just for this division battles, obsolete the Bizzie? It should be renamed Mjollnir
7:15 to 7:25. I don’t understand what you were trying to say.
I like the Bismarck too…. But team play is the most important warship of all.
You might enjoy Saturday's video 😉
It should have at least one more overload skill
Great ship if there is no CV if there is then it is a damage farm
I would somewhat disagree, actually. Very few T8 ships would stand alone against a concentrated carrier attack. CVs require an adjustment of playstyle, but I wouldn't say they make a ship unusable
Note to self: stop rushing in & be more cautious.
4 focking million silvers....i should've never sold that beast.
Bismarck's guns suck. They barely do any damage. 380mm is not enough for tier 8, especially when you have only 8 of them. So there is no sense in doing main gun build
1st?
Seems like it. Want a cookie?
