Phew! My longest line rider yet, but the sync was fun to do. I really love this piece of music, and some may recognise it from a famous "Tom and Jerry" episode...
Hope everyone enjoys it - and after comments on my other videos, he stays on his sled for the entire piece here for the whole of the synchronisation :-)
Check out my other videos if you like this one! - Фільми й анімація
Before watching: The real question is.. is he going to stay on his sled?
After watching: YES MY BABY BOY SURVIVED
Yes he does, do not worry :-)
You just spoiled the ending! That's illegal!
Dah! Spoiler Alert! 🤣

I remember Tom playing this on the piano in the old Tom and Jerry show.
Shouta from Wii Sports ok.
Shouta from Wii Sports I was thinking that as well!!!!
Yes, can't forget the scene with Toms long little finger at 6:51 hahah
You opened up a memory that I forgot that even existed..
Me too!
Finally someone who does an entire long piece
They take a while, so each extra minute takes a few hours to put together..
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider imagine how long a Mahler symphony would take lmao
@@Somewhere_Bagel more time than I have!
TheClassicalMusicChannel check out “This Will Destroy You”.
It’s an entire album of line rider,
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider You did it, you crazy son of a b*tch.
I could Lizst all the reasons why I love this, but I think I'd run out of space. Well done!
Same
why don't you lizst all of them right now
@@apple8580 I didn't think I'd have to come Bach to do this. Let me start Chopin them up into categories.
@@adriennecmc Nice
I can't Händel all these jokes.
Didn’t know my music could be turned into stick figure drawings. Hm.
Doc thanks for making this music that one day would be put in cartoons or Video games or movies.
missed some notes , discovered some notes.. ha ha ...
What do you think, Hérr Liszt?
❤
Well, I have fallen in love with the music conceptualized as a little guy on a snowy
series of hills riding a sled and risking his
life! Wow! These videos are neat!
My boy didn't lose his ride he sil remains the line rider
I've been waiting for this moment :D
Rhapsody: Plays.
Bugs Bunny: Hold my piano!
Woody Woodpecker: Hold-me in piano!
Tom cat: Hold my Jerry!
This video: Hold the line!
Marlon da Veiga LOVE ISNT ALWAYS ON TIME!
Donald and Daffy duck: *angry duck noises*
Cantinflas: Hold my baton!

Absolutely brilliant. I was grinning like an idiot while watching this for much longer than I care to admit.
This is awesome! Im genuinely confused as to why it has so little views!
Thank you :-) I only just released it...
Well the algorithm pushed it to me with this little views so I think it should explode soon. Or in 2022, whatever UA-cam decides
well actually no because this song hasnt got the biggest fanbase of the planet as far as i know
@@currentlyspeakingbmwmusic1793 In the classical world, Lizst for the most part is kind of a celebrity. It'll get out there
@@lifeontheledgerlines8394 hopefully, if u explain it to ppl they would like his personality too
I can’t even imagine all the hard work that went into this! How many days including all the procrastination did it take to get to the final version ???
I reckon about 25 hours? Hard to estimate though...
Matthew Buckley now let me see how long it would take you to learn the piece !
@@razzerraw1108 Haha! I do play the piano but this is definitely way beyond me 🤣
Matthew Buckley do a line rider for Chopin’s Minute Waltz! That would be a pain !!
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider only 25 hours? That's incredible
Hungarian Rhapsody
For when you're not quite feeling Bohemian
🤭
Daenym more like
"bohemian rhapsody
for when you're not quite feeling hungarian"
or Blue
You know, I never noticed the little guy blinks. This whole time.
Plus he has orange lips...
I thought that was his scarf
It’s his scarf
I just cannot hear this song without thinking about Tom and Jerry
I can't hear this and not think of Bugs Bunny either!
Phone rings inside the piano; Bugs answers it
"What's up Doc?"
"Who?"
"Franz Lizst"
"Never heard of him"
"Wrong Number!"
9 minutes and 44 seconds of pure stress: WHAT IF HIS SCARF GETS CAUGHT ON A CORNER?
*phone rings*
"Hello?"
"...Who?"
"...Franz Lizst?"
"Never heard of him. Wrong number."
Wow, just wow. The parts where you reuse the track (especially when looping 3 or 4 times) was impressive.
There are a few places where it is obvious that there are specific pushes involved and not just gravity, but that does not deter from this masterpiece.
Thank you! Yes, I wanted to experiment with track re-use during a quieter passage, but it's very fiddly because any changes alter where you just came from.
Those "specific pushes" are actually the ghost of Franz Liszt (Liszt Ferenc) pushing the little guy forward.
Liszt being like: “I paid for the whole piano, I’m gonna use the whole piano”
(Yes I did steal this joke, I still think it’s funny)
And sometimes he'd use several pianos, just because he could.
Ian Morse admitting is the first step
I appreciate the honesty.
I actually love Tom more than Jerry. Facts Tom, the most misunderstood creature.
I kind of feel bad for the little guy. He must be a glutton for punishment. One thing for sure, his back will be sore the next morning...
that's if he's alive to see another day.
and his but hurt like mother f*ker just like my fingers when practicing this piece
this is EXCELLENT. probably my favourite one yet. this one was the most like a dance to the music that i've seen so far. bravo!
i thought it was the best as well...
Is it weird that I'm always like *oh no he's gonna miss a note* even though I know it's perfectly synced to the music?
I sincerely appreciate whoever is putting their time and energy into making these videos
Somehow, this is probably the greatest art I've seen all year
So many parts of this perfectly illustrate the movement and mood of the music. well done
I hate it when i try to show this to my friends and they're just like
"BOORINGG"
La migliore versione pianistica che abbia mai sentito: equilibrata, veloce al punto giusto, romantica senza eccessi, virtuoso con gusto.
Brendel ❤️
Magnificent! Eye candy! And an amazing piece as well!
This is just absolutely stunning. Keep making awesome content!
Yes was waiting for this one! ❤️ great work, probably takes a lot of time!
This was many hours... not sure how many.
Matthew Buckley Thank you for putting in the time to make these. They’re fantastically made, fun to watch and they introduce me to new classical music.
I cant help listening to this and remembering Tom and Jerry playing the piano.
I really appreciate the multiple levels of motion you create; not just the lines themselves and occasional superscripts, but the way you get the rider's motion into the mix as well. Not just spinning, but the drop on one beat will be timed such that the next beat is with his bob upon landing. It's just so good.
these are amazingly done. very realized and fun to watch
Bugs Bunny also did this piece... in the middle the phone rings, he answers and says "Franz Liszt? Eh.. never hoid of him."
"Wrong numbah."
this makes me renember the day i played "The End Is Nigh", good job on it
Love this little sledder! Keep them coming!
Just when we all thought the line rider craze was over, you come and do a full deconstruction and analyzation of classical piano pieces.
AND IT’S AMAZING
I’ve watched a lot of the Line Rider classical videos by different people but yours are always the most relaxing. I’m currently at the hospital for my mom and I’m watching to try to get some sleep. Thank you for posting these
Thank you :-) Best wishes to your mum.
HOLY MOLEY! HE SURVIVED!!!
I loved this - the way you went back through some sections over and over, and the very end were perfect!
I waited for this so long!!
First line rider I've ever seen where the guy isn't seperated from his sled
1:08 must have taken ages. Amazing video!
Edit: And 2:20, and pretty much the entire video.
Absolutely amazing! So satisfying watching it! Love it!
This is my favorite piece of classical music. I was smiling from start to finish on this. Bravo! Excellent job! ❤️😍❤️❤️
This is Hungary!😌❤
*Let's be honest. You read the comments*
I just love your interpretations!!
Your talent is astounding. I love these!
0:27 ... when life goes fine ....and all of a sudden everything went down because of one little trip
5:52 19th century beat drop
Thank you! I have a bad attention span and wanted the drop lmao
this just made my day! I hadn't seen these before. So glad I was introduced to them. Thank you for sharing your craft!
A few years ago, I was obsessed with Tom & Jerry, and on a family vacation, I brought a few DVD's and I watched the Cat Concerto, and as a pianist, I loved it, and as soon as I got WiFi I looked it up.
3:36 is it bad that i haven’t noticed the huge crescendo’s??? 😂😂
Decrescendos you mean?
Spaghetti Sauce yeah. i wasn’t exactly sure if there were only decrescendos since i’m not to familiar with piece in particular specifically the exact score but thanks for the correction
It could also be called a diminuendo.
Edit: You don’t have to be familiar with this specific piece to know a bit of music theory.
The Naughty Christmas Elf right. i wasn’t sure how to explain it and this was the best i could come up with because my english isn’t as good as it could be since as most people know if you don’t exercise or use that language you tend to get rusty which happened to me and i had trouble explaining myself. Sorry 😅😂
No problem.... Your English is one helluva lot better than my Korean.
7:15 is the moment that everyone wait for. ^ ^
i would argue its 6:09
Absolutely brilliant!!! Thank you ♥
GRACIAS. 💓
Ver esto me llenó de mucha emoción. Es una de mis piezas favoritas.
Excelente trabajo, simplemente hermoso 💓💓
If you’re taking requests, I’d love to see a movement from one of Beethoven’s symphonies here
We're collaborating on one, it'll come soon! :)
I think the score from Fantasia would be really good for a line rider, specifically thinking of sorcerer mickey
This is mesmerizing. My favorite of this series. Bravo!
Great sync of his upper body! Ingenious!! Also fantastic ending.
I remember the moment when Daffy Duck and Donald Duck had a piano duel lol
Classical musician: a masterpiece of classical music
Me: Tom the cat playing the piano 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't subscribe to much on UA-cam, but Matthew Buckley has hit a home run with this series. I think it's a great way to get kids to listen to classical as well as other well composed music, especially in these stressful times. "Thank you" just doesn't begin to express my gratitude.
What a lovely comment, thank you for that 😊.
Incredible! The time this must have taken, the timing, the number of lines, the special animation are all absolutely astounding! Bravo for this outstanding accomplishment!
Personally not really a fan of the “defying gravity” movements in this one but still really fun. Love these.
Please do one using Saint-Saëns’ Finale from Carnival of the Animals!
A Fantasia 2000 reference would ne welcome too!
That was amazing!! This perfectly captures the music
This is truly a masterpiece! Thank you so much for your time and dedication
No problem Salvador, glad you liked it 😊
I'm just wondering how does the entire ride looks like, i can't imagine all those lines together, it must be amazing :0
All I see is Tom and Jerry duking it out on the piano 🤣
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DO THIS SONG. THANK YOU😁
I'm morely surprised you spend your time and day to make this to just show it to us
I'm pretty amazed thank your for your amazing work

Liszt: *makes Hungarian Rhapsody*
Freddie Mercury: Im about to end this mans whole career
That should really be reversed since Hungarian Rhapsody came out WAY before Bohemian Rhapsody was even thought up.
@@hellfire66683 no, its in correct order. For the joke to work, Liszt would be put first, otherwise it would be out of order
Speaking of which, I made one in sync to Bohemian Rhapsody that took off a while back, so you're not wrong. XD
(P.S. You can't forget about Rhapsody in Blue, mah dude, lol.)
@@Arglin I saw that one, that was really cool. You synced it well :)

This is genuinely one of the best youtube videos I've ever seen x
One of the great pieces. Longest line rider I've come across and not a minute of it was boring or wasted. Well done.
Liszt: *breaks known laws of music*
Line Rider: *has a game phisics engine*
Matthew: "hold my beer"
I've always thought Bach's Toccata and Fugue would be a cool line rider piece.
Magnificent, magnifique! Made me think about the music in a different way.
Every bit of this was absolutely brilliant. Never seen a better one :)
Who framed Roger Rabbit and Loony tunes and Tom and Jerry cartoons.
Time to brake the 4th wall and cue the Merrily we roll along music or the Merry go round broke it down music

Mickey Mouse would end it.
At 5:15 it starts the Animaniacs song “Wakko’s Wish”

Perfect choice of peice.
Aside from the great sled track, this is one of the best interpretations of this piece I've ever heard :)
Thank you for bringing it to my knowledge!
Sees this video pop up in recommended: Do I know this piece?
Listens: Oh right, it's basis of "Lobachevsky" by Tom Lehrer.
Peter Berry no, it’s called Hungarian Rhapsody No.2- composed by Franz Lizst
@@ihaveliterallynoname He means part of this piece is used in Lobachevsky
...and then I write by morning, night, and afternoon, and pretty soon my name in Dnepropetrovsk is cursed when he finds out I published first!
He quotes a small part of the Hungarian Rhapsody and only for a small part of his song.
Heck yes dude. Love your awesome vids. How long do you spend making them?
