This is how our parents used to go to the school when they were of our age
So this is actually a method that some music teachers use called "music mapping" to teach their elementary students. They have them trace the lines with their finger as the music plays, as they subconsciously recognize the different beats, patterns, and instrumentation. It really is an effective introduction to music!
That’s so cool!!! I visualize music somewhat like that and I’ve never been taught music, I’m self taught and have never done that before! Wow that’s so cool!
Once we did a blind interpretation of music where we drew the lines and showed them to someone who was deaf to show them what we saw when we heard the music it was rlly wholesome
Honestly, I feel like that method would've been a better way to teach me personally.
Better than ti ti Ta, ti ti Ta, Ta Ta, ti ti, ti ti Ta.
Saying it out loud like that was more of a distraction from the rhythm for me than anything, and it made me feel like I couldn't learn music properly...
Also man, music class for me felt more boring than it should've been. We didn't do anything except play drums or xylophones every now and then. Meanwhile, I wanted to learn how to play the piano, the guitar, the violin, *something* more interesting than that, but no. We were stuck playing the "baby instruments", and we weren't allowed to go off the material, or be creative with it.
When I was in second grade, I taught myself how to play twinkle twinkle little star on the xylophone while my teacher was talking, and when I went to show her, she was more upset that I wasn't listening rather than seeing the potential that I was able to learn it by ear with some experimentation in the entire amount of time she spent talking. Heck, I even finished quite a bit before she was done too. Enough to figure out happy birthday on my own too. My goodness, she just spent too long talking, and explaining how to play, rather than just letting us play. I swear, she spent most of the class time just talking, and we got like, ten minutes to *actually play* the instrument.
And now at this point, I'm just ranting about music class, I'll see myself out.

but just as they came into this world, so they will exit it. Together. There was a time when “I” was “we.” Let them be a minute longer. Give them time. Soon, all that will be heard is the soft silence of sweet serenity, as the separate becomes whole again, as chaos fades softly into love...

Imagine having synesthesia but instead of seeing colors you see this.
I mean you can kind of imagine these lines when you listen to music don't you
its actually a pretty common way or compartmentalizing emotion in music! imagining moment as ups, downs, and expression in speed. some of debussy’s more angular works like arabesque 1 might be bouncier and have less slopes
Sappy. This is kind of what it feels like. At least for me. When I close my eyes and listen to this song, the emotions felt by watching this little guy move and wondering what’s gonna happen next is exactly how it feels in my chest when I hear it
This videos in 3d with colorful lines made of different materials is actually about how I see music
Sappy. I don’t see lines like this. Instead, I see a wonderful series of movements like paints and the ocean and the sky melting into something magical and awe inspiring. It usually forms an actual image in the end, and depending on the energy of the piece, it can beautiful and full of joy, or dark and infused with mystery. Whatever emotion I feel is the kind of image painted. At least for me, lol.

this is actually a good representation of the music’s “story”. Using lines and waves to create these patterns that depict the notes and melody it’s just beautiful. Excellent!
I usually feel sorry for the guy when he loses his sled. He is so vulnerable. This time, with the calm music, it was just so poignant.
@@jonathanc3443 Exactly. I don't know if you play, but it's just one note that's a Cb rather than the C that it was first time arount that changes the whole tone of the piece.

For 4 minutes and 53 seconds, everything in my life was perfect.
A 4-minute and 53-second respite from the usual crushing loneliness and bleak depression that is life and its dead-ends closing in around you.
Kevin W 4 minutes and 53 seconds of a brief and fleeting peace preceding the sweet kiss at the end of the death march of death as every moment that passes is a moment lost to the vestiges of time, all that we see destined to become infinitesimal motes of dust which drift across the amber sky, separating in an eternal cessation wherein everything is nothing and nothing is everything, where every particle and every wave of matter is separated by an incalculable distance and the all but faded memory we served at the end of existence.

This taught me so much. This reminded me that sometimes life can throw you around, send you through loop-de-loops, swirl you upside down, make you retrace and redo some mistakes, go some places alone, but you just have to trust that your feet will find solid ground again, that you'll find your path again and carry on in this wild journey. Just keep going, knowing that sooner or later it's going to be okay and we're all going to die.
In other words, it's late and I'm sleepy. 🤗

Have a blessed life
I am learning this song on piano and I love listening to it it brings me joy in my darkest hours
I personally chose to see the moment when he lost the sled as the beginning of a strange and lovely duet between sled and rider
I imagine this is what life is like.
You have all these exhilarating peaks, depressing valleys, and peaceful plateaus. In moments of great suffering, you wonder what it’s all for. Will I be unhappy forever? Is this even worth it?
But then a day comes when you realize that the all the ups and downs and twists and turns were just notes in the symphony of your life, which always turns out beautiful in the end.
It is my opinion that this is one of the greatest pieces ever written or played. I like to describe it to people who have heard it as the musical score in ones brain as they fall in love.
Can we just appreciate Matthew liking all the comments
No, he’s got a bot to do it, else at least some of the comments would have responses from him... which they don’t
Zak Griffiths wrong, I ask many questions to him, and he replied to each of them.
@Chaim Falkowitz yes, I heart all comments manually, definitely not a bot. With UA-cam Studio, it shows you them all in one single list, so it's easy to go through them and heart them to say thanks to people for leaving me a message. It doesn't show me threaded comments like this list, hence I don't see them automatically.

Music:**is calming**
The dude:**does a loop-de-loop**
So satisfying how his sled follows him when when they're separated
Idk why but it kinda made me a bit emotional because it just felt like even though they were separated they still were able to follow each other but were never able to properly reunite as one unit again. Maybe I’m just tired as it’s 1 in the morning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I saw "Claire de Lune" and I'm like, "that's a nice calm song. Maybe Line Rider will finally stay on his sled!" Nope. Can't even stay on your sled for Debussy. Get it together, Line Rider.

This dude really took the most artist musical adventure of his life
I see a story of two people, either friends or lovers, who were inseparable. But they hit a rough patch, and go their separate ways. They gradually try to get back in touch with each other, but the other had always got something going on.
As fate would have it, they were never too far apart, and finally, our duo gets back together forever.
@Joost Broek even so, they return to one another. I'd definitely rather they be alive to experience it, but that works too 😅
When he lost his sled I felt such sadness but then I saw the beautiful duet they did and how the sled was waiting for him at the finish line, that really touched my heart bro.
