something i noticed on pc with lightbowgun is if ur aiming like over a monster or monster moving your shot can go in a wierd directtion - i always counted it down to bullet tracking or some small form of auto aim when it get the depth wrong.

So, one thing I haven’t really seen anyone utilize is the palico flashfly cage. Interestingly enough, flashfly cages DO NOT count towards your flash pod limit. While AT Kush won’t get knocked down by flashpods, having technically unlimted flashes due to your palico’s equipment (which has a pretty low cooldown from my experience) can make the fight a bit easier. It can at least slow down some of the jank movement patterns and make it where the attacks aren’t aimed directly at you. As for the build, I believe that Jinjinx and Tuna found that Slugger doesn’t help with extra KOs, it just speeds up how quickly you get them. That can be nice for keeping AT Kush grounded, but skills like peak performance (to make clusters hit harder) or medicine jewels (more health recovered from weapon attacks) could perhaps benefit the build a little more. Excellent vid though. It’s a shame that this monster is designed where this feels like the only bearable way to fight it.

Capcom definitely held back with content to keep the game alive longer. Only 1 ice monster, 1 monster that makes you bleed. That in of itself made some skills just completely useless.
The path of the bullet going from your bowgun allways goes from the tip of your gun to the center of your crosshair. If the target your crosshair is hovering over is very close to the camera then you'll shoot of to the side like that.
I like to start of my clust runs on Daora with three-four sticky 3s to the head for an instant KO, so you can then chain CC knockdown him with clust. Great vid! Thanks for bringing this strat to light. Now I am ready for the AT version of him.
I've never used a heavy bow gun before, am an insect glaive main. However I've used this build for the 1st time, but in a group setting, and was able to successfully take down AT Kushala with it. There was also one run, which I got disconnected and was still able to slay him in the end. Thank you for your guides. They help a lot, especially for us who need to get the gamma sets. The only one I still have trouble with is AT Nergi, very difficult fight.
8:08 The bullet veers off like that because of how aiming works. Every time you press the shoot button, the game "paints" a marker on the object your target reticle is aimed at. Then it draws a line from the tip of your gun to said marker and fires the shot in that trajectory. This sometimes results in shots going far to the right when aimed at objects very close to you because of the fact that the camera is positioned over the right shoulder of the hunter, causing an offset between your target reticle and the actual barrel of the gun.
The bullet misalignment is due to the fact you are aiming in 3rd person in the game, but bullets physically come out of your barrel, so to make aiming simple, the game "paints" the center of the crosshairs and bullets "curve" so that they fly in straight line to it. At long range it's barely noticable, but up close, it can curve the bullets like 60 degrees to the side, simply because you aim at say the tail, but the barrel is actually under it, hence bullets curve up. You can see it in other games too. Shooting a bow in 3rd person in Skyrim is a good example.

I just farmed this with a the Styx light bowgun and sticky ammo. You can juggle from KO's. I also use canteen voucher for KO. Also use the rapid fire thunder ammo and it has spare shot. Then use true shot deco's or special ammo in build, Artillary. Then KO and use social ammo them more sticky and thunder and repeat plus barrel bombs
kushala was an icemonster from the start in monster hunter, you usually had to fight him in snowy areas anyways. so i hope for iceborne we will get some alternate versions of EDs like oroshi kirin, rusty kushala or hopefully some more (there was an ashen lao-shan lung back there, kinda the same to whitegold kulve now)
Kushala Daora already has a variant. It's called *_Rusted Kushala Daora_* which was in previous games & actually does use Ice. The odds of him being in Iceborne is actually extremely high.
you should know kushala has always been an ice monster. he deals ice damage and snowman blight and ice blight when fighting him in snowy/icy maps in previous games. this is already a guarantee. he won't be a different kushala. same one as always, just that while on those maps, he'll apply different ailments

Because I recently got the kjar Assault horn and I'm not entirely sure which one to use because both are really good with spread ammo Level 3 but the Kjar got also sticky and wyvern and higher base damage. Which one do you think is better? I'm really interested in your opinion.
Cluster is not nerf due to game balance in ta. Nobody using cluster in ta. The op cluster only using mantle which is somehow too op. Kushala is quite gimmick fight. His head has knockdown threshold 600 or 800. As long as you can deal those total damage with the last hit while it stands up, you can chain knockdown till death. Not sure whether spread 3 is able to deal those damage.
My only problem with the clusterbomb builds is how boring bowguns in general are to play. I personally used a crit element bow build (Kjárr bow decay) to fight him. It probably took longer, but it was somewhat fun.
The big issue with cluster isn't its damage. Sure its too easy to netflix your way through a fight but a playstyle is a playstyle. The big issue with cluster is how disruptive it is in multiplayer. I can't tell you how many times I've turned a SOS mission into a gathering run because I can't get in close due to the knockback of the bombs. Nowadays if I spot a DD in the party I just leave quest or go gather it isn't worth the frustration as a melee main.

Kushala is an ice elder dragon in previous games. He still controlled wind, but had ice attacks as well. A new variant of him is very unlikely. Hopefully we get a new ice elder dragon in iceborne.
Th ammo firing off to the side is really annoying, I think its linked to the camera as it seems to happen fairly often fighting KT if you're near a wall.

The bullet ricochet is actually a game mechanic it mostly happens with Lv3 bullets it has a lower chance with weajer bullets. What happens is that the bullet hits a hard spot and ricochets out. I dont know if its possible to do it multiple times unlike older titles.
Can you survive with this build? Man Im having so much damn trouble with AT monsters in this game. No matter how much I try I just cant beat them. I was only able to beat AT Val and it takes me around 45 minutes both times.
I'd consider different weapons and builds if you're taking that long to kill the easiest Elder Dragon. Really shouldn't take 45 minutes. Also, health regen augments for weapons for Vaal, you using them?

Cluster will have issues in master rank(G-rank). The reason I think its left untouched for high rank. And if my past experience with hbg from the old games lies true we might see pierce or sticky get a huge boost. Unless they make a clust 4 or 5.
older games didnt has lvl 4 or higher ammo types. No Pierce will still not avilable in Masterrank because how the Pierce works in MHW make it general bad.
Yea Im aware it can be improved, the thing is, I wanted it to be super accessible to most people, so I was forced to use older xeno armor, and the charm slot was taken by artillary.

honestly clusters aren't that op anymore, glutton is the real op monster it's the only weapon that can compete with ele bow, and didn't u feature the sub 3min glutton at kushala run? what you showed here you can actually do with a thunder and slice lbg and instead of clusters u use mega bombs i used to think clusters are op and trivialising but ever since i swapped to lbg i have realised that nothing makes a fight as easy as the ability to simply walk around and away from the monster while shooting...every encounter in the game can be trivialised by lbg without crazy kulve taroth weapons, it's a shame it's so underrated on pc and xbox i guess people don't like having to make so many diffrent builds and item loadouts, u kinda trade in a complex execution of a fight with a complex preperation for the fight since piercing, normal rpid fire, spread, all the elements and even sticky and slicing have a matchup where they shine, it's incredibly rewarding figering out the exact combo that shits on a monster...jesus have i been rambeling on...anyway give lbg a try, it's awsome
Great video, but can anyone help i have a problem with the quick crafting menu. When i'm trying to quick build bomb ammo, i only can craft one (even if i have enought ressources and space. I'm spamming the crafting button and i still does craft only one( i need to shoot it so i can craft a new). Also sometimes i cant even craft specific ammo types(even if i have enough ressources). On the normal crafting menu everything works fine. Im on ps4 btw
Quick crafting is a bit of a pain to set up but it makes things easier when you understand it. In the options menu, there’s a radial menu setting that makes it where you have to click R3 to use/craft an item. This will allow you to quickly craft multiple of the same item. You can also customize your radial menu to have the ammo/items you specifically want to craft on the fly. Just make sure you that you save the setup to an item loadout, or else you’ll have to set it back up all over again.
You putting the item itself instead of the "craft item" option. When customizing your radial menu press the shoulder buttons to change category until you get to craft list. Then put "craft X ammo" on the radial menu instead of the ammo itself.
If you want to get good with the game, I'd recommend JinJinx and Tuna, known in the community for mathematics-based guides that allow for the most efficient runs of any content in the game and general advice for all content. Leechconomist isn't exactly the most reliable/trustworthy content creator for MHW and it's a damned travesty he has any views as he does. Please don't support this man.
Ya know, i like that they're focusing more on the MP aspects; but it's really highlighting the fact that this game lacks even basic functionalities. So Kulve is tailored for 16 players, great - but the game in no way helps me to get those people together. I'm not even asking for a raid finder (even tho it's standard in every single modern MMO) but for feck's sake give us a region chat where i can post LFG. Trying to play this game with people feels like i'm organising a LAN-party in 1995.
If you're standing very close to something and aiming at it your shots will veer off. It happens with other things like vigorwasp stations as well. You could make an almost entirely pointless video testing it!
Pretty sure CAPCOM is trying to laugh of us with Iceborne. Just one ice monster (legiana) and one with bleeding (odogaron)... They did that intentionally.
if i have to use a range weapon/clusters against every monster/event in the game they give us, i rather stop playing the game, i killed every AT monster in the game in under 10 min. with different meele weapons. There is no skill playing clusters is not even fun. Great content tho , keep it up !

Something to add. There was the flash pod Nerf from earlier, but AT kushala is immune to them in the same way that Lunastra is

I'm spamming the crafting button and i still does craft only one( i need to shoot it so i can craft a new). Also sometimes i cant even craft specific ammo types(even if i have enough ressources). On the normal crafting menu everything works fine. Im on ps4 btw
Change your Radial Menu setting to "Type 2"
This makes it "use" the thing you're on every time you press R3.
Quick crafting is a bit of a pain to set up but it makes things easier when you understand it. In the options menu, there’s a radial menu setting that makes it where you have to click R3 to use/craft an item. This will allow you to quickly craft multiple of the same item. You can also customize your radial menu to have the ammo/items you specifically want to craft on the fly. Just make sure you that you save the setup to an item loadout, or else you’ll have to set it back up all over again.
You putting the item itself instead of the "craft item" option. When customizing your radial menu press the shoulder buttons to change category until you get to craft list. Then put "craft X ammo" on the radial menu instead of the ammo itself.

If you want to get good with the game, I'd recommend JinJinx and Tuna, known in the community for mathematics-based guides that allow for the most efficient runs of any content in the game and general advice for all content. Leechconomist isn't exactly the most reliable/trustworthy content creator for MHW and it's a damned travesty he has any views as he does. Please don't support this man.

Ya know, i like that they're focusing more on the MP aspects; but it's really highlighting the fact that this game lacks even basic functionalities. So Kulve is tailored for 16 players, great - but the game in no way helps me to get those people together. I'm not even asking for a raid finder (even tho it's standard in every single modern MMO) but for feck's sake give us a region chat where i can post LFG. Trying to play this game with people feels like i'm organising a LAN-party in 1995.
If you're standing very close to something and aiming at it your shots will veer off. It happens with other things like vigorwasp stations as well. You could make an almost entirely pointless video testing it!

if i have to use a range weapon/clusters against every monster/event in the game they give us, i rather stop playing the game, i killed every AT monster in the game in under 10 min. with different meele weapons. There is no skill playing clusters is not even fun. Great content tho , keep it up !

4. why do you only ever start scrolling through the ammo menu after you fired a shot??? the moment you pull the trigger you can already change to another ammo, it really frustrates me seeing you on that wyvern ammo for what feels a minute long until after you did dmg until you switch to what you want to use next
