Someone watch this and tell me there is a series with, collectively, better open wheel race car drivers. More opposite lock corrections, nose to tail battles, and wheel banging in one lap than an entire race in F1. Yes obviously the top F1 drivers are beyond phenomenal, but it's a car designer's series. IndyCar is, up and down the grid, so much more driver-focused, demanding and competitive. And they do it on road, street, and short oval circuits and superspeedways. A skill set and courage level unmatched in sport IMHO. I only wish more racing fans knew it.
If Indy had F1's production quality and raced all over the world, it would basically be perfect
id love to see Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton try IndyCar someday. Half of the F1 field would thrive here and it would be an awesome comparison of raw talent and would grow the fan base massively.
What's interesting is that although we know Hamilton and Verstappen are good drivers, looking at Mercedes's standing now versus when they were dominant... Do the wins and speed come from the driver being _that_ much better or is it the car? Would F1 drivers be that much better in a IndyCar, with it's downforce and steering/driver aid limitations, or would they struggle to find speed or shy away from wheel-to-wheel racing because it's a much harsher result with the fragility of F1 aero? Furthermore, would they be effective at fuel saving like IndyCar often must do? I'd love to find out, but it will never happen.
@@SALEENS7GTR5 they would struggle in the same way scott dixon, will power, or Christian Lundgaard struggle. (they would take a few sessions and be within a few tenths)
Love all the highlights! Herta impressive going from 24 to 7. Grosjean going from 23 to 12 after getting pushed off track on lap 2 also impressive.
Very nice from the social media team right now. Half an hour onboards is a great addition 👏
Love these views. It feels like you are there, counting the corners, seeing how each driver handles them. Awesome.
Wow Lunggard's Clutch cost him the lead (I'm sure Alex would have passed him, but still)
Has a driver tried a one stop strategy the primary black are durable enough to hold up to 50 laps
You can't with fuel. With heavy fuel saving you might get 35 laps. But you lose too much time for it to make sense.
@@de_risk2639 If the sticker reds degrade a lot faster the primes would be the ideal choice to stay out longer
Only 400 views in 1 hr, they really fell off
they post too many videos and premiere videos do terrible on channels that dont have millions of views on each video. trust me i know for my channel lol.
Spamming videos with low views is more effective than one video every few days that will also have low views. The algorithm doesn't like promoting old channels like this anymore, it prefers newly started ones. IndyCar just needs more fans, and more dedicated team channels, like F1 or Esports, to gain large viewership. But they're not necessarily hurting themselves with spamming videos, especially because people have asked for stuff like this for years.
