I did something similar when writing papers; I’d paste them into google translate and let it read it back to me so I can hear things my brain might skip over. Will have to try it with my fiction writing!
When Lee Child said he reviews what he writes the day before, that made sense. At the video's end, he states, that by the time he's done, he has gone over his work maybe one hundred times. This makes it sound like he's reading/editing from page one each day. Hmmm. Assumedly, I misunderstood.
That´s exactly how I write my papers. I wish I could write fiction... but the writing/reviewing/editing process is the same. Even Hemingway wrote that way. God, I wish I could write anything else than legal crap.

Probably not from page one, but from where he left off and working backward and then moving forward.
