Very good analogy - thank you.
Another thing well woth investigating/ reading is how Yahewh became THE God from amongst the Cannanite pantheon, I highly recommend " God an Anantomy " just recently published by Prof. FRANCESCA STRAVAKAPOLU . Ties in very well with reading Bart Erhmam.
Another recommendation is the 1 vol "History of Christianity" by Dairiamaid mc Collough.
    Happy reading.

I possess a copy of MacCulloch's work yet haven't started reading it while I'm currently eyeing Dr. Stravakapolu's work. Tsundoku!

@@AndrewPriscott-pd1zv thank you for the suggestions. I’ll have to look into them.

As Bart puts it, history is trying to determine what probably happened in the past. Since miracles are, by definition, EXTREMELY improbable, almost any other explanation is more probable. This is not to say that miracles can't happen, just that a historian can't say they did within the bounds of a scholarly discussion.

@@lazykbys that’s a great way to put it.

That's as good as a theist can put it and not sound like an idiot. Its more straight forward for an atheist. Miracles can't happen. People just fool themselves and others and even make a living that way
