Feeling excited for you - reminds me of when I had my new kitchen fitted in 2014 which still feels new to me and I too still love my worktop even after 7yrs!
I was married for a good amount of time before I had my dream kitchen. It was worth the wait.

Its coming along so beautifully, Chetna! I love the dark cabinets and the bright countertops and all that lighting! I redid my kitchen last year and also got the Dekton in the very same color/pattern as yours. Happy to share that it wears so well and is very durable. It really is a showpiece for the whole kitchen.

I can't believe it..did those kitchen fitters smash up gat granite work surface?!?! Or I presume its granite..whatever it was why could they not take it out without smashing it.Someone could use that.Honestly the waste in our society is disgusting.Sorry Chetna I don't mean for you not to have a new kitchen but surely those materials could be recycled or that worktop at least.
The whole kitchen went to a local lady who had just moved into a house with no kitchen, including all the worktops. The only thing that went in the bin was that big worktop as no one was able to get it out in one piece and only way to do that was to smash it!

That was the only piece of old kitchen that was broken. The rest of the kitchen went to another home so nothing wasted
