There is a calmness that washes over me as soon as I hear the first few notes of any of their songs. The tone, the vibe, her incredible voice against that guitar. Incredible.
In my opinion, the Tedeschi/Trucks band have successfully inherited the mantle vacated by the great Allman Brothers. While the TTB are excellent writers in their own right, their covers constantly take on new lives of their own. “ Helpless “ is no exception. Despite the fact that this version is short, Derek’s solo is soooo tasty and Susan’s vocals speak for themselves. The background vocals were a wonderful addition. Just wish this Boston show and the Layla/Live at Lockin’ were available commercially on dvd.
In my humble opinion, TTB is the most diverse, complete band out there right now. They can essentially do whatever they want. Big win for those of us loving live music!
@@robpattison6606 Hey Rob, I saw Billy Strings last year here in SF. I like him! However, I have yet to hear those covers. I'll look em up. Thanks for checking in.
I love Neil Young ♥️ and he's a hard act to follow, but Tedeschi and Trucks band are no doubt the best blues players around and you make Neil's music beautiful all over again!!
Best Band in the world today Best vocalist I've ever seen. Best guitarist in my lifetime. I was at this show and 9 others. I went to Lockn' in 2019 (I don't really like festivals) just because they headlined. So HAPPY I did.
that was beautiful thanks for taking one of my favourite songs ever and give it a sweet twist! Cheers back again play that solo pretty for Omemee......
So excited to have booked tickets for the Palladium in November. We all need something to look forward to. I live near Worthy Farm and no one appeals nowadays. BUT if TTB were booked I'd be tunnelling under the fence.
Helpless is a Canadian icon. I never realized how much it depended upon Neil's weak, squeaky voice and tentative guitar picking until Derek and Susan blasted it out of the water.
Fond of this song--not because I'm a patriot but because an American, after proudly bragging about all the songs written about US places, challenged me to name one song referencing Canada. Boy! Did the mention of this song ever shut him up. Perfect example of how less can be vastly more.
I'm sorry My genoration had the best music we tried to bring the world to a better day to see worth in everyone I was 21 in1970 I thought we had a chance to make it work.
I've already seen them three times in concert, and will see them in London and Glasgow next year, so I'm a big fan, and their covers are always exceptional, I personally don't think its that good.it just seems a bit flat.
I'm still trying to figure out what people see in Tedeschi that is so wonderful. Her voice sounds the same on every single song and her guitar playing is completely mediocre. She is one of the few musicians that I consider incredibly overrated. She is where she is because of Derek, not because her talent alone propelled her to these heights.

What a tremendous band,I am 76 and listened to many great lady singers, but none of them can compare to Susan.
Neil, a fellow Canadian is the best..you all did a beautiful job with his song
A song that reaches out and touches your soul . Well done …
This song, as so many written round that time, ARE TIMELESS!!!✌️🤙
Toooooo good! One of the best bands in the world!🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵
You know a band is legendary when they uncover the true blues in songs and make an old known song theirs! Unbelievable performance
Good but Buffy Saint Marie did it first and STILL has the best cover to this day…..50 years later
Omg so good speechless
I love Neil Young ♥️ and he's a hard act to follow, but Tedeschi and Trucks band are no doubt the best blues players around and you make Neil's music beautiful all over again!!
The greatest 'covers' band on the planet - featuring one of the best guitarists I've ever heard in over 60 years of listening. And what a singer!
Appreciate the comment but there's so much more than the cover band. Last year they introduced a quadruple album of all original material.
Can't wait to see them live one day, totally a bucket list thing... So, so good.
Listening to music is one thing, feeling it is a complete different realm.❤️💯
❤️
Thank ya
You nailed it right there 👍😊
Totally agree! ❤
Susan has such a beautiful voice and Derek is always amazing- love their music live and this is a great venue for music!
I’ve seen them numerous times ..they never disappoint
Girl can sang. I spelled it right.
my kid and I both love their music . Now to bring my granddaughter along
You're killin' me, guys! Goosebumps.
I saw Ms. Tedeschi many years ago in Virginia Beach! Good to see she’s still kickin’ it!
The musicianship in this band is insane
Wow.. they are excellent! And Derek needs no introduction, he's already so amazing on slide guitar!
I'm so happy for them. 💗
Not bad without a slide like on here too ;-)
Beautiful.. TTBand.. Derek can make a guitar sing..and what a singer, Susan is.. Well done guys!!
This lady is all woman. . . . . . thanks again LTFP for bringing great musical works to the screen.
Our pleasure Tex.
❤ love Uncle Neil ❤ Susan you killed it ❤ Swampette❤
Neil is smiling❤️!
Absolutely beautiful ! Always been a huge fan of Neil Young and to have Tedeschi/Trucks band perform it. Wow !!! grinning from ear to ear. Thank you
I think Neil would approve.
Damn, this was good!!!!!
Great song, amazing Susan and Derek
The tone of her voice is mesmerizing… the brightness of his notes … such a great sound.
Beautifully done

Such a great cover Betcha Neil agrees ❤️🎵🎶🎼
lack of sensitivity in such great song på Young
U can feel the love.....😮
Great rendition of the Neil Young classic!

back again play that solo pretty for Omemee......
😊Long may you run, Uncle Neil!
I think I saw Derek singing! Great song everybody!
Good version , so many different ways to play it . Doesn’t have to be fast to rock it .
Bravo vous êtes au top 👌 couple (bound on the blues road) ❤️
Il mio preferito in maniera naturale e particolare , scrivere con il cuore

Got tickets to go to DC in July to see them! Can't wait! 70th b'day present!
Damn. Thats purty
big smiles!!
So lovely! This band makes my heart sing!!! Febuary 3rd at the Warner theater, can't wait!!!
Dereks guitar sounds great after 2:00. Made me think of Lowell George, don’t know if Derek is influenced by his slide sound.
"I hope Neil Young will remember, A southern man doesn't Need him around anyhow"...just say'n...
Beautiful cover non the less...👏💯👌
Troll
@@jzkayakpnw since when is speaking your mind trolling?! Or are you just that insecure...
Now that was sweet
"Blue, blue windows behind the stars..."
They continue to outdo themselves!
Possibly the best real touring band today
TTB = constant Winning

any “Little Feat “ fans up north ?
Cowboy junkies do a good version and this is a great version as well love the trucks band
Even though I'm a Tedeschi ,i think they're GREAT
There is no shame in being a Tedeschi. Susan is great.
ONE WORD...BRILLIANT!!! 🙃😎
I love her voice, and would love her to really let herself go in a song to show off what she has. Use her voice the way the solo guitar does
"Helpless Helpless Helpless "
Haven’t seen Susan since she was a solo act . Wow she’s so much better now! Glad she quit her day job lol
nice cover. neil give it a wink
You can kinda of jump in on knock knock on heavens door..BD
Cowboy Junkies version also a great listen
Yeah I loved them, they were like the carpenters meet Morphine. Sublime in concert
Knockin on heavens door much ?

I think she sounds better by herself. All she needs is that guitar and a microphone.
I want to hear "Layla" & "Ohio" from them....please

People starve, few care
ACH.
Derek is certainly one of the best guitarist of all time, that being said I don't like his tone for this song. Maybe I am just too old.
As long as she keeps quiet about her views about getting the jab

except she was famous before meeting Derek…
@@davidm9323 Not as famous as she is now. I've given the girl a shot, I just don't understand the hype and I guess I never will.
