Whew... This video was quite the process to make. I didn't feel like just playing random clips of the show in the background while I talked this time, so I came up with this new format that I might never use again. I almost made a Hollow Knight vessel OC, but then I instead had the idea to make an OC of the one indie game that I know of that is criminally underrated and deserves more attention. Hollow Knight has already had the success that it deserves, so I guess I'm going all in on Bug Fables now lol. I didn't even use half of the poses that the artist sent to me. Maybe I'll use Klyde again in future videos. Maybe not. Idk.
I think it's really nice to see a perspective from someone who isn't a super fan of the show, especially since I wouldn't consider myself one either. Critique feels a bit more grounded that way in my opinion. I enjoy the show, and I definitely agree with the Millie/Moxxie relationship being one note. I really hope season 2 has a Millie centric episode where she isn't just Moxxie's lover or the typical "badass girl" and nothing else
I wouldn't mind seeing a sorta day in the life type of episode, I guess, but I kinda like their dynamic. Inseparable couple who do everything together and almost never leave each others' sides. Though being a wrath-ring imp, I don't think an entire episode without Millie kicking someone's ass would feel right lol. And Blitz likely won't take a side-character role, even if Millie does get more attention than usual, so who knows what a Millie centric episode could look like. I guess something like Episode 3, which gave Loona some time to shine.

Personally I really like Moxxie and Millie's relationship. I see so many couples who have to go through stuff and fight and argue like that's all love ever is or can be, but these two are on the same page. That's why they work so well, they're fully committed and devoted to each other, something even a lot of humans seem to have trouble with. They are what every relationship SHOULD be. The only one time where they even came close to conflict is in episode 5 when Moxxie's brain kinda stopped working for about five minutes. I think it also plays into the fan theories that Blitz stalks them so much cause he wants what they have, and is either living vicariously through them or trying to take notes. This theory also has weight as it's more or less spelled out during his bad trip in episode 6 by the hallucination Moxxie and Stolas. But I get where you're coming from too. It is in your face, and it is blatantly being spelled out all over the place. And that can get be a little much for some people. But that's kinda the point, as I stated already. Or at least I think so. Also glad to hear your thoughts on the community has changed. I know we've argued a couple times about certain points, and although I don't think we ever came close to insulting, I was at one time wondering if I wasn't contributing to your opinion of a toxic fanbase. Granted, there's still problems with the fanbase, but most of them are silent and easily avoided. I won't argue again about your points on Episode 2 or 3, cause I understand your perspective. Just gonna disagree and leave it at that. Can't wait to see what points you make on season 2. I really love this show, and while I know you don't share my enthusiasm, I'm content enough that you like it as well. I’m a big fan of the show and I 100% agree on the Millie and Moxie thing. It’s way more fun to watch a complex relationship like Stolas and Blitzos, but I guess the point is for them to contrast eachother.
I feel like having Millie and Moxies relationship that’s really stable, happy, and full of love will be great for a contrast of Blitzo and Stolas’ relationship which is unstable, worry, and misunderstandings

I'm sorry but I can't agree with you. You can't have the excuse of the show being serialized when character development comes out of nowhere. That's not how good character development works and even for some characters it's complete and total whiplash. That's called a plot hole. I genuinely love Helluva Boss as a whole and can't wait for the crew to make more and more episodes, but I agree with your old statements that not a lot of these character moments feel earned, some happening way too soon or completely out of nowhere. My biggest problem with episode 6 is that they take the time for Blitzø and Moxxie to have character development and understand each other and say that they'll try to work out their differences, but in the next episode Blitzø treats Mox the exact same way again, invading his personal space and personal time with total disregard to the development in the previous episode. Now I know changes in a characters behavior won't happen overnight, but the character development in episode 6 just feels like a complete waste of time when nothing is different about Blitzø in the next episode. A lot of your past critiques are pretty valid and you shouldn't feel bad or feel the need to go back on them when they are valid. This show definitely has tonal whiplash and it needs to be said. This show is amazing but even this show isn't free from critique
I think he is just backpedaling bit too much now. I love the show but I think aknowlading the show's genuent problems can't be summed up to it is showses style. I do like how he aknowladges how bad was for him to call out the fandom for nothing

Here is my opinion that no one wanted . Helluva boss is good. The end Anyways the show is funny with a heart but it main problem is pacing . I feel like if they did the whole Shuffle with the episodes order it would work much better . It has the obvious things like it's VA being really good , the animation is great . For some reason i really like how they animated stolas when he is horny. No it isn't like that weirdo I just am appreciating the art. And the character designs are great , blah blah representation blah blah great music blah blah Luna blah blah bird dick 7/10 But the simply fact that the best fucking characters ever made . Agent 1 amd agent 2 aren't the Focus of the inter show is a sin . I personally blame you m yes you the reader for this .

The M&Ms are adorable and I can't have enough of them, but that's the thing, they are just adorable, Moxxie had some development outside the ship in ep 1, 5 and 6 but Millie has almost nothing, I really hope season 2 will flesh out her character a bit more
putting the amazing animation and story potential Helluva (and in extension, Hazbin) has, the only problems i have with both series is their overuse of cuss words (as if to try hard to prove that they’re an adult animation), most of the time crass and corny humor, and the way they just force in sentimental moments without a clean segway. Like wth is that scene near the end or Loo Loo Land when the entire episode established Octavias fear of her parents separating as a joke, and in Spring Broken where Loona being adopted came out of left field
Personally in my brain I feel that the Stolas episode is a great finale to the first season even if it is technically for season two. It explains a lot, it leaves with a nice cliffhanger, and it also leaves of at basically the same point as the episode which makes it really feel like a second part to the Ozzie’s episode. Just a silver lining I found in the delay. If I don’t forget to, I’ll probably copy and paste this on the Everything Wrong With video when that comes out but I just wanted to get this out on a smaller video because almost no one sorts by new on yt.
1:44 keep in mind, its the first season. many many shows have character developments throughout 5- 10 and even 15 seasons later. The first 2-3 seasons of any show i take as development, if the show fails in this stage, then it was either just good for its time and timeless.
Yeah the fandom isn’t as bad as many think, but you do get some over obsessive gems. For example I had someone get mad at me for describing female imps horns as black. And how I was “spreading misinformation” because i didn’t describe them as “black with thin white stripes”. Like, yeah I know?? But it’s just easier to describe them as black horns Rather then “black with thin white stripes” since that’s just to much word fluff. But no they continues to get all pissy and calm that I’m confusing fans. Really showed me how there people out there that just obsess over the littlest details, and will get mad at you is you don’t say it correctly 🙄

No, both glasses lens are colored. It's just really hard to tell. The 15% opaqueness of the lens is much more noticeable over Klyde's eye than it is over the red background for some reason. But it's there if you look closely.
