    My local Kroger Grocery Store has huge pork shoulders on sale throughout the year....10-12lbs for a total of $6-$8 each! I get a couple and slice them up into pork steaks and use my Vevor Chamber Sealer to freeze them. I easily get 8 - 10 steaks per slice and they are awesome on the smoker/grill. Eating like a king on a budget! Keep up the good work on your projects and smoke on!

    Andrew-- you are going to have to make a couple of forging tongs! we buy a pork loin and cut it up into steaks of whatever thicknesses we want usually 1.1/2 to 2 in and it grills up great. looking to pick up a vevor foundry some day i have my great grandfathers 30 in?? round forge -- it has a crack and the blower is stuck But should be a great project someday when i have time to work on it!!! looks like you are having FUN Keep going great vids love the builds!!

    I made "Fire Tools" for the Fire pit We had out at our pertinent camp site. 5/8's Rebar. HAHAHAH big & heavy.
    even 4' pair of tongs made from Rebar & flat stock.
    I have been wanting to take a 8' Log about 10 to 12 inches in Diameter. carefully cut a Door in the side. Hollow out the inside to hang Fire pit Tools, When the door is closed all You'd see would be Hinges.. mount it to a Fence post near the Fire pit..
    DO You by chance watch "Paul & Kathy Short" They live in bay Roberts newfoundland. fabricator extraordinaire.
    He just built a really cool stand for His Anvil..

    lol. Pork steaks are so easy, plus you can’t really overcook them. I hate when I screw up and overcook an $18 ribeye. But pork steaks you cook them all the way through and they always taste good. 😂😂 I love to take them camping because they’re so easy and they have great flavor. Even if you just have some salt and pepper they still taste great and you can cook them over an open flame on a muffler or pretty much however you want they’re super easy.

    I love that rocket stove grill. If I build one, I think I'll cut a square hole in the coal tray to make it easy to scrape the coals into a coal bucket. What do you think?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  6 місяців тому +1

      Not sure I follow, you definitely want to keep the coals on the grate until the burn though and ash. At that point they fall into my ash pan. Not sure if you watched my rocket stove build, I designed it this way.

    • @CharlestheDeaver
      @CharlestheDeaver 6 місяців тому

      @@TKCL oh! i was just watching the tool build and noticed when you used the scrape to pull burnt ashes from the burn area i thought it would be nice if there was a opening for the ashes to fall out into a bucket you could carry and dump. but i get it. the pan is easy to pull out and dump

    Not trying to be a safety Sally here, and maybe it has already been mention, get a cheap leather welders jacket. If any of that hot steel would have popped loose or came out of your hand that could leave a bit of a boo boo. As always a great video sir!
