    That's a wonderful result, you have made this item look like new again and I salute you for that. This is NOT a criticism but I am a great believer in "If it works fine, why fix it ?". Thank you for sharing, great videos.

      I am sure he wanted the air compressor to look new and great all the time, despite it works fine or not. Just a thought ✌

    Amazing job lad, just one question? How did you spray the parts when your compressor that you use to spray paint was pulled apart in pieces...? 🤔

    Maybe a wash would have sufficed, it looked like it had a nice vintage patina I would have liked.

    The greatest improvement was the new motor bearings. And the paint job. No honing of cylinders, replacement of rings or lapping of valve plates means this compressor will only pump the same as before. Maybe if the head gaskets were leaking there may now be a slight improvement now.

    Pressure tank needed to be examined for internal signs of corosion and pressure tested to 150% of max pressure. Congratulations on creating an extremely dangerous ticking time bomb. You didn't test the start up capacitor to make sure it was within spec. No sealant on brass fittings.

    • @boots7859
      @boots7859 3 роки тому

      How did he create an extremely dangerous ticking time bomb by basically repainting it?
      Answer- He didn't.
      You don't know if he looked inside, though a test would be nice. And no sealant simply means it'll leak air faster.
      Over the top much?

      @@curm1778 No shit, right? The guys just being a handyman, I doubt he's some certified mechanic. Most of the safety nazi's on YT would literally shit a brick if they saw how the rest of the world gets things done. Flip-flops on construction sites in the Phillipines, no unusual.

    Nice job and video. BUT....this task was all for not. The tank is still rusty inside, so all you've done im sorry to say is slap lipstick on a pig so to speak.
    If that tank rusts from the inside and blows you aren't going to want to be around it, you would have been better to retire that compressor tank.
    Same as a car fender, you can fix the outside all you want, if its rusty on the inside, the rust is coming through eventually, only in this case it's pressurized.

  • @christianblankenship7683
    @christianblankenship7683 5 років тому

    Yeah....You are struggling. There were many times that you were showing your lack of experience. Not to mention very sloppy at times. Spraying the wheels on the rims when a little tape would have done the trick.... Sloppy

    • @boots7859
      @boots7859 3 роки тому

      Dude, I expect the guy is in a 3rd world country, and just prettying it up. Sloppy or not, it looks pretty good if you want to pimp your compressor. I'll just swing around to your channel and check out your video on how to do.. oh snap, you ain't got shit. Well you do, but it just spews from your mouth.

    You don't appear to have the slightest clue about what you are doing. "Lets go ahead and spray paint into the crank case, it'll be fine!"
