Depends on in which country you live. Could imagine that in India you dont have to complain about such a price because of what is available there. Maybe its the cheapest 4HP compressor he could find (better then nothing)
Most certainly, but I guess that price could vary widely depending on region. You could pick up a small compressor like that around here new for 250-300 USD. If you searched craigslist or Facebook, you could find one for next to nothing or trade. Hell I've seen folk give them away if a part breaks or they bought a new one, either give it to someone who asks or put it by the road with a 'Free" sign on it. 2$/kg is almost like buying scrap, but the heaviest thing on that is the motor and compressor, take those off and that tank would probably weigh 20 pounds or less.

Need to check the air tank carefully...Here in my country, there has a man who was killed when the old air tank exploded and shot out a piece of metal into his head.
Iron Man Restoration . It is possible if any doubt about the safety aspect of a tank to have it pressure tested and officially certified as safe etc. Otherwise stick it way out of anyone’s way and inflate it way above the maximum working pressure you would ever use it. If it doesn’t go bang then it will be safe at normal pressure. But ensure it is well out of doing anyone any harm while running the test. Nice job apart from the bearings taking a bit of a hammering.

А ещё ресивер опрессовать водой забыли. Но индусы верят в переселение душ, потому им пофиг...
Oi, opening that pump up gives me thoughts of the next day at the hardware store. Slap down your list and relay to the lucky guy helping you: "To this line, I need one of everything. To this line, 3 of everything."
*Stand back and watch for head explosion
All those air compressors in the yard screaming, "Pick me! Pick me!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
So beautiful video
When this thing blows up, it will mean one less youtube channel.
One of the pistons and it’s connecting rod was broken. You don’t say if you replaced all 3 pistons and rods or just the broken one? Great restoration in general though!🤔👍
That's a good job honestly
Best work and good skill
Beautiful instructions - ,, how to destroy new fur ,,
Most Important thing was Cleaning the "TANK"You Make A Suicide Bomp Under The Shiny Paint 🎨...and Also You Didn't Change The Capacitor on the motor....which was old and weak...
Please heat up the inner ring of the bearing and dont hammer on the outer ring as an engine rebuilder that hurts my soul so bad ._.
Momo commented the same thing on another comment 😂 being an engineer doesn’t mean poop if u haven’t been around the machines ur working with
@@knightfall7534 where im from, u have booksmart people, and then people with common sense. His shit works but like the other gentleman said, he prolly took years off the life of a rebuilt unit.....u can make it look pretty but its still a piece of chit. My opinion only
You are supposed to hit a bearing on the outer ring, not the inner.
@@ronbeton1999 true...but if u heat the bearing it will slide into place
So I looked some things up: when mounting a bearing to a shaft press the inner ring, when mounting in a housing press the outer ring. Not hammering like a fool like in this vid 😂😂
Great restoration, but you'll definitely want to replace the old electrolytic start and run capacitors on that motor.
Restauração profissional, parabéns👏👏👍👍🇧🇷
Mantep compresore pak de sory gak iso pakek bahasa inggris boso jowo ae yo sing penting sobekere to 👍👍,,,,,
166$ now way you can get them allot cheaper here. it sounds not great butt nice resto.
Probably something to do with the fact that he installed the bearings with a hammer...
Price based on weight, pretty cool, great video.
21:45 Where did you learn to place bearings? MUST NEVER BE INSERTED TO HAMMER STRIKES, even if the hammer is made of plastic.
The blows travel from the races to the balls and from there to the inner race producing small marks that reduce the useful life of the bearing.
Well this guy is beginer for me, so many mistakes... Video like "never do this like this guy"
Apparently the comments section is full of mechanics, electricians, engineers, scientists and quality assurance officers.
You are very funny bro
there are about a little 850.000 viewers of this video at present. there's a relevant high probability that some of them are mechanics, electricians, engineers, scientists or quality assurance officers. ^_^
cheers
This is what we do with our free time bud, I’m sorry you don’t have anything positive to say.
And some of us have pride in our workmanship. Roughshod like this makes my skin crawl. I don't care if "it works" if it's not going to work right.
Great refurbish thnx for sharing.Better than buying New
Thanks bro
Awesome video. Are you worried about rust on the tank interior? Is there any way to deal with that for old compressors?
Inspect and replace of need be.
Any uncertain store outside on a safe enclosures just incase it creates shrapnel
Obvious call would be to cut it open, check and remove it. There is no doubt this has rust, it's only a matter of time before it blows up.
Keya bat hai zabardast Pakistan me be esa kam hota hai 🖒
Thanks
@@IronManRestoration app ko be
Need to check the air tank carefully...Here in my country, there has a man who was killed when the old air tank exploded and shot out a piece of metal into his head.
Ok brother I will care
Предохранительный клапан значит был неисправен! Просто так баллон не взорвался бы!
Love from india great job
Thanks
