how much storage does this take?
SDK is about 1.5GB as for the rest, really depends on how much you're making.
@@ImpulseSimulations Oh okay, thank you for answering, I'm trying to recreate my home city in the sim
Great tutorial however I find that blender adds a lot of triangles on the objects which distorts the textures. Any way of resolving this?
try higher texture images
@@ImpulseSimulations ok I will give that a go. Typically what size textures would you recommend?
@@jmaxsceneriesuk9207 8K
@@ImpulseSimulations thanks but unfortunately im still having same issues :(
@@jmaxsceneriesuk9207 your computer may not be able to handle it.
I suggest maybe asking on the blender forums?
I don't know myself, sorry.
mine does not have import msfs parms
do you know any way to add windows lights to the buildings with the SDK or blender? I made many buildings but at night only with the cold and warm illumination doesn't look much good, thx
can alter the mode just down from the texture in blender it's called ambient just do that and enable day & night cycle
@@ImpulseSimulations I not much into blender but what you mean is go to texture paint and find that ambient option and add squares as the windows with that option and with the cycle activate is gonna show on msfs ? i will check where i can find that options
@@Mich8DB correct
Also reuploading the scenery files! :)
where am i supposed to save the secenery, no matter where i save it, it doesn reload when i open up editor again
Microsoft have made development harder now.
I'd suggest reading the SDK, once you update the model I suggest doing a build and reloading in sim by reopening the project.
Does anyone know how to modify the height of the terrain in game? There's a plot that should be flat but it isn't and I can't overlay my 3D properly. Btw thank for the tutorial!
You can use the rectangle I do and tick the terraforming box :)
Hi, is it possible to export default buildings/structures to edit them? I would like to make some changes to buildings in my area.
not that I am aware of
@@ImpulseSimulations Alright, thanks for your answer!
I hope that you can help, I was importing an image of a flag to blender (png) and did all the rescaling etc. However, after I put everything inside the game, all is good except that the flag is missing. How do I fix this?
Have you made it double-sided
@@ImpulseSimulations I cant change the material to MSFS standard as shown by you even though Ive installed it. (But i can change for the rest of the bulding).
But will it actually work using a standard png image imported to blender? Or do I have to actually create a rectangular shape etc and use the png ONLY as texture?
@@calvinpg7372 Please ask in the discord then I can see what you do
There is like a 1000 foot tower to the north of Melbourne City. Does anyone have a fix for it ?
doing a fix for it over next few days
vLegion_ Thanks heaps. There is also a very large silo ? To the south of West Gate Bridge that doesn’t look quite right. Very much appreciate your excellent work.

How do I add multiple Objects in one scene?
Just get all your textures in the same folder and add the other required model files and simply add an object as needed.
@@ImpulseSimulations So everything in one filder? Wow, that easy? :D
Tried literally everything else yesterday, but ofc not that. THANKS!!
@@js_filming7701 yeah you just have to make sure that your textures don't have the same name and you'll be laughing.
@@ImpulseSimulations what is a best practice, to separate the objects into smaller packages or put them into a big one?
@@saieramusic personally I like giving the option of what you want but some might prefer full thing
Damn. I wish someone would work on Puerto Rico. Google maps is just so much better. I wish it was easier to do.
this is the easiest it has ever been to have 3d scenery creation. stop wishing and put the effort in.

Hey, mate, I'm having some problem importing my model into FS2020, some faces (it's a Blender model) aren't showing up there. imgur.com/a/n8v3Fqn. Care to take a look? Also, great tutorial, it's the most complete I've seen so far. Edit: I have the blend file attached to the imgur post.
make sure that you select textures as double sided
@@ImpulseSimulations Thanks, mate. I'm not sure what fixed, but my normals were also flipped inside in some parts of the mesh, but I've also checked the double side option. Cheers.
