Hot Chip seems to be a band of aging music hipsters that used to go to raves, they seem to understand the sound that people want to dance to, like really dance to (like let go of your inhibitions dance) and they are fucking nailing it. I might be 40, but I can still cut a rug, and this song is hot.

It really strikes me that bands like Hot Chip don't reach the place they deserve, their music is exceptional in more ways than one and it's comforting to know that they don't let themselves be intimidated.
I'm glad they haven't, being popular can easily ruin your focus on being unique which makes them special- but I know what you mean!

I envy Sarah - I would so love to be the drummer for Hot Chip.
On that note, I really like that Hot Chip got a permanent drummer - I think real drums have added a lot of punch to a lot of their recent songs.
I think this is also the first video I've seen in which all 7 members are present - Alexis, Joe, Owen, Al, Felix, Sarah, and Rob.
Well, I don't know yet if Rob and Sarah are actually full members, but they might as well be by this point.
Caleb Jaaniste a bass player would be the real game changer. maybe felix or owen could leave their synths and start playing a bass guitar live instead, I really don't see how they need five keybordist (felix, owen, grovesnor, joe and alexis)
