Awesome! I'm 53 and act like a kid when it comes to mountain biking, but those Table top jumps scare the heck out of me. I'm sure those ramps would get me jumping in no time. Thanks for the video!!
i give you a ton of credit!i'm 64,started mtb 3 yrs ago.have done small jumps and drops, but dont do them regularly.so the fear of getting hurt really limits my airtime.this project looks like a good way to get comfortable getting air.tnx for posting!
Very cool ramps, awesome design. I built a small kicker and landing ramp with my kids to get them started but I can see this is a great way to progress on the jumps. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome job on the progressive segments. I have a feeling lots of folks have built one based on your idea! I wish every trail system with jumps would have a practice jump section at the trailhead. There would be way less accidents out on the trail.
Brilliant design!! Can’t wait for your how to video. I’ve been wanting to build a ramp but have been trying to decide between super aggressive or super mellow but your design solves that. Love the idea of the landing. Keep up the great work!!
That’s cool 😎 you build your own kicker. At the same time practicing your jumps giving you more confidence out the trails. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and have fun 👍👍🚵🏻♂️
Thanks! I wanted to make one because otherwise all you practice is step-down jumps and landing flat. I needed something to get me used to pushing over in the air to match a landing as well as specifically aiming for a target landing. After this, I have new ideas of an even better kicker ramp for progression 😁
Thanks, Steve! I will do a design video. I built it in a rush because I wanted to ride it and not take the time to do a build video. What can I say, I’m impatient 😁 Plus, I tend to make stuff up as I go. The perfect setup just might be 2 versions of the newest landing ramp.
Wow, this is a brilliant way to progress gradually and safely. I will be interested to hear whether this translates to increased confidence on actual trail jumps and gaps!
I'm going to build one.. Very soon! I was on a flow trail yesterday and as a beginner was thinking okay I have enough speed so I'm good.. Nope got banged up real good forehead both arms and both knees from going OTB on a double roller I thought I could clear
Thanks! Yeah. I actually like it better as a kicker vs landing ramp. It’s a little more forgiving and less kicky than my first adjustable ramp. Let me know how it turns out😊
@@TrailBreaker I ride Yargo, Bluffs, Chico, Harbins, Big Creek, Blankets, etc. need to get your number somehow - have a group text with 4 neighbors and 10 total guys - someone is riding every day! Reid, Chad, Kevin, etc.
@TrailBreaker Hye there bro. Nice videos. Really informative . I was wondering if you could help me with a landing setup . I've built a 24" inch kick ramp .
Sure! The landing ramp should be shallower than the kicker and maybe wider. A flat case pad like this one is good too in case you come up short. Or you could just set up your kicker where the ground drops off a few feet from the takeoff
I am in love with this video and idea! May I buy the plans from you? We do have a friend who is carpentry inclined, but if I tried to build this, it’d look like that jump scene in “Napoleon Dynamite”. Feel free to pm me with a paypal request. Thank you for sharing this with the Mtb world!
@@TrailBreaker man i love it. i am the same. bu there is always someone who thinks its waste of time not being spent on them ;-) great skill - i need something like this to improve my jumping
Off to build my kicker ramp. Seriously. Right now. Starting with your DIY Kicker Ramps vid. Thanks for sharing your work and speeding us along!
Lol, that's awesome! You are welcome. Have fun!
The one dislike on the video is from someone that doesn't have a ramp and can't build one! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!

You're welcome, Patrick! Good luck!
I'm 50 and wanna learn how to jump :)
Just built a couple with a buddy with leftover lumber from a bathroom remodel! Time to send it! 🤙🤙
Sweet!

Michael Obrien Thanks, Michael! I can’t wait to get out and really yesterday this out as a kicker!

Thanks! I agree. Just a series of progressively bigger table tops would at lease get folks warmed up before hitting on-trail features

Trail Breaker sweet!!

I appreciate it , John! You too, my Friend👊
Trail Breaker i saw your build on the kicker ramp you made the 3 sections that’s very versatile and easy to transport. I will try to build that one.
The kicker design is encouraging. Thanks for sharing 👍!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome kicker / lander.
A build plan / video would be brilliant.
Something like this would be so useful at the kids mountain bike club lessons.
Coming soon! Thanks for watching!
Dude that is brilliant. Been wanting to do this. Outstanding
Thanks, Twill! Go build it now...seriously...go!😀
That lander is sweet! I have seen far too many kicker ramps with not enough mobile landers. Your design looks fantastic!

Trail Breaker I look forward to seeing the next one in action!
Really nice job one of the best kickers I've seen, keep up the good job.
Wow, thanks! I appreciate that!
That is slick, love the set up. You gotta do a build vid. Nice how you can adjust the height instead of having a bunch of ramps.

I jump like you...a bit in the "back seat" I'll have to go build a kicker ramp now for practice. Thanks for sharing
Do it! You won't regret it👊
Love this! Time to hit Home Depot. Thanks for keeping me inspired to put the work in on my jumps! ✌🏼🤟🏼
Thanks! I see you do some park riding. This is good for those "in between" rides😀 Enjoy!

Do it! You can hit it super slow and work up over time to get used to the feeling of hitting small jumps on the trail
Exactly what I just did!! Awesome 👏 new sub here 😎
Such a great way to practice
Sweet!
Dang. Nice.
Thank you, my Friend!
Perfect!!
I need to build this.
I briefly saw the plans on the other video, are they your own?
Thanks! Yeah. I actually like it better as a kicker vs landing ramp. It’s a little more forgiving and less kicky than my first adjustable ramp. Let me know how it turns out😊
Nice barturn.
Thanks! Gotta figure out how to get at least a little style in my jumps😀. Whips are next!
@@TrailBreaker you already look natural with that bar turn.
What would be better , a plywood surface of planks?
Since I wasn't bending the wood and didn't intend to keep it outside I liked Plywood
You still live in Trilogy? This is pretty wild watching this from my house in TP…
Lol yeah! I can’t remember, we’re there some neighborhood shots in the video?
@@TrailBreaker yep! Was watching and was like that Timelapse looks damn familiar… oh snap so does that park? What a small world!
