  • When you'd want to parent an object A to follow object B, C, D, etc, usually it's limited only to 1 action at a time, and if you want to daisy chain such actions to follow something else right after that, you'd be in for a bad day. The problem that happens is that the whole location of object A gets broken due to the new positioning that follows object C, after ending a cycle of A-B.

    Put in practical terms: make a character grab an object, drop it and then grab it again; or just have the character give that object to someone else. All this requires no custom animation pathfinding, as it would follow the bones that you’d attach and re-attach the object to with the addon.
    With this script you can daisy chain those actions for when object A finishes following object B, then from that end point of B, object A can begin following object C, and so on.

    So let's say I got a character who's going to grab a plastic bag with a cane, then move cane close to his left hand and grab the bag with the hand. Then while walking around, the bag should stay in the hand and then be animatable itself (like small rotation adjustments to make it look less static while the character moves). Is this the addon for that?

      The addon will allow you to do that. The addon builds on the default Blender parenting (which is awful for more than 1 sequence). This allows your parented object to follow the bones it's parented to, while you can also give it any custom keyframes (like that rotation adjustment you mentioned).
